Sounds like it''s time to band together, get DHL to bankroll the people and let them operate their own courier outfit. It can be done. They have the pieces in place and I guarantee the operating certificates can be transferred with the new administration in place.

Given the economic situation in that area I was somewhat surprised by the massive increase in retirement benefits for executives listed in the company''s latest 8k report to the SEC.

Job loss is nothing new in this country, especially to foreign companies... Our auto industry is a perfect example.
The Germans only wanted the sorting system ABX had...
The politicians had no idea that they would do this. No one did. Anybody wanna be mad, be mad at the Germans.

20 years and plus some of those employees had and now they get a slap in the face. All the yellow paint that company put up, the bypass that is a waste of good farmland, and all the counties and southwest Ohio that has to suffer because a foreign company can in. To the people that say "**** on them" I really hope you reconsider your words because one day its going to bite you. Think about the people that worked in all weather conditions to the heat of August to the freezing temperature to get you package on time. I know from experience. My friends and my mom worked in that, days and nights. Some were farmers getting insurance and now some might lose their farms. We need farms to eat.Think about all the people that are going to lose their houses and all they have worked for. It''s sad. And the unemployment in Ohio is running out.The workering man got screwed in this while Joe Hete, CEO of ABX is laughing to the bank. Some people need to think before they talk.

Ok, for all the people at are uneduacated about the sitation, here is a quick overview. Dhl came in 2003 knockin'' on ABXs door and Abx took them in. THE EMPLOYEES HAVE NOT HAVE A SAY. They took over all operations and the employees did what they were told. THE EMPLOYEES DIDNT WANT DHL HERE. Through the five years they were here, they control the dhl, abx and astar people. Then the announcement came that they were pulling out, people in sorter had there hours cut and Dhl didn''t care. Mike Turner(State rep.) told abx from the start that this was a bad deal from the start and Mike tried to help the workers all he could. He was presitant but noone would help. No one listen to the employees and now they are the ones that are suffering.

One of the most fundamental actions we all should be taking now is to STOP HAVING KIDS. At least until things begin to turn around. So many people complain about how hard the economy and job market is. And yet so many of them keep having children. Why don''t we all just stop for 3 or 4 years ?? See what happens. Might make us a less stressful society.

I agree with naturaltwo. They voted republican and now they see that republicans don''t give a d a m n about them unless they are rich. I have little sympathy.

I hit "publish" by accident--

So, (Rep) Ted Turner(R) where do you stand on DHL pulling out? Better yet, why don''t you explain to the good folks of Ohio how you lined your pockets for this deal? Can you explain why you voted AGAINST expanding VETS BENEFITS-then outright LIE to the Dayton Daily News and the Columbus Dispatch saying you voted for Vets when the truth was you DID NOT?

Opening another Wal-mart will not stem this economic slide.

Many Ohioans do not see you as a conservative anymore- you are seen as a thief and you betrayed us.
