$35 million dollars, and that worked really well, didn''t it? Your government at work.

Every comment on here is not just critical, but harshly and unmercifully so.

$35 million dollars completely wasted!!! Anyone with common sense knew that wasn''t going to work. But hey--it''s not their money.

It''''s frightening to hear people tout New World Order, as if they are on a mandate from God.

Then look for Bush Sr. saying the very phrase ten years prior to the 9/11 attacks. "We have before us, the opportunity to forge, for ourselves and for future generations, A New World Order. A world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations. When we are successful, and we will be, we have a real chance at this New World Order, an order in which a credible United Nations, can use it''s peace keeping role to fulfil the promise and vision of its founders..."-George H.W. Bush, Jan. 16, 1991-

Still have your head up your ***, tinfoil man.

Escalate, escalate, escalate. What are the plans to de-escalate? Oh, you have none. How about winning the war on terror rather than just fighting it.

Lot more money to be made in fighting it than in winning it.

The most telling part about this is that they remade the uniforms to make them more "authoritative." Obviously people are not obeying authority, and we can''t have that.

Ask yourself: Why would changing the uniforms to make them more "authoritative" even matter in the first place? Lipstick on a pig.

I would like to see the RFP for the new uniforms: "Not quite like the NYPD, whom people respect, and not quite like the LAPD, whom people fear."

This is what happened to the police departments, which have become completely militarized through this type of escalation.

Escalate, escalate, escalate. What are the plans to de-escalate? Oh, you have none. How about winning the war on terror rather than just fighting it.

Every time I go through the metal detector ,I still end up taking my socks off, on the other side, because I have two screws in my foot, even though I have a note from my doctor stating so.

Why, there is your mistake: Assuming they can read!

TSA typical government workers, 2 working and 6 standing around BSing and drinking coffee while there are long lines and only 1 out of 8 security checkpoints are open. And they wonder why the flying public get''s mad. If you''''re a US citizen, habaes corpus will protect you every time. However it does not protect those who are not citizens.

Another myth. No where in the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, does it say any such krapp about having to be a citizen first. People like you don''t deserve to live in this country under the protection of that beautiful document.

Too funny! It took Bush just a few weeks to find out that the WMD''''s Clinton and the DEMOCRAPS had screeched about for 8 YEARS and had UN inspectors chasing for 5 YEARS...WEREN''''T EVEN THERE!

Posted by RowdynTex at 10:55 AM

Woman give it up. Your rhetoric is so tired. Bush knew that Saddam had no WMDs. We had inspectors there confirming everything and your failed president was determined to start a war no matter what because he didn''t see in personal loss for himself. For him it was a win-win. It wasn''t his money, it wasn''t his children losing their lives, it wasn''t any skin off of his skinny little nose. In the effort he would gain oil fields a plenty and make his family and friends (hello Haliburton) so much richer in so many ways. Now that our economy is tanking, he could care even less. It was no skin off of his skinny little nose, so like Hitler his idol, destroy what''s left before someone better takes over.

omega, yes, you may never know, that I agree with. Of course I''''m sure that point is lost on you. I have nothing yo fear, do you?

You see notblue, this is where everything ties together. You may not have anything to fear but that doesn''t mean an error couldn''t be made and you couldn''t be thrown in jail. Ordinarily you would have access to the courts to prove your innocence, but with Habeas Corpus suspended or by merely deeming you an "enemy combatant" you may never get that opportunity.

Bruce Schneier made some good points, but since this is TV it''s mostly in soundbite form.

He hit the same topics in the May 31, 2007 issue of Wired in greater detail, with a reference to how to not be eaten by lions that creates a lasting mental image...

If you can''t find that copy of Wired, the article also appears in Chapter 9 of his book Schneier on Security.

tolduyouso, if you recognize the truth, then you must also recognize it includes Democrats, FBI, CIA, the military and the rest involved with this effort prior to and up to present. If you refuse to recognize this truth then everything else you state must have been funneled through blinders as well.

Omega, I asked for a personal example not the same soundbite. I cannot recall one instance of rights trampling, none of my friends, coworkers, family, in fact I have never known or met anyone whose had had their rights trampled on, must be just terrorists and their supporters who are complaigning, which category do you fall under?

Hey dumbazz, you and I may never know the full extent of the surveillance we are under. Remember TIPS? Remember airlines getting access to peoples bank accounts? Remember Librarians turning over lists of books that people checked out? Remember warrant less wiretapping? Remember searching of houses without warrants? You are a perfect tool!
