Ivy League MBA%u2019s are taught to take the same approach a mafia loan shark would take: Raise the rates, add some fines, then destroy the customers life.

All of the market free fall is entirely hte fault of banks. They should just EAT IT. You take the risk, you take the fall.

What''s amazing to me is that banks will actually follow through on these interest rate resets...incredibly stupid. It would seem a hell of a lot smarter to keep the rate low and be getting some sort of cashflow instead of having an empty house, carry all of the risk, and have no cashflow. I mean, it''s almost as if they KNOW they don''t have to worry, that the bailout will come...

You can take it from Rowdy - if ANYONE knows about blabbering endlessly, about subjects they know NOTHING ABOUT, it''''s Rowdy.

But it''''s all good because she has a creative imagination, and she''''s a chronic liar to boot.

Posted by IamHungry68 at 05:00 PM : Dec 15, 2008

Yep. Posts NOTHING to back herself up, changes the subject, refuses to concede valid points made by others (hell, she doesn''t even RESPOND to those posts). Typical pathological liar with no self-esteem.

Washington Post is a helluva lot more credible than any link YOU''VE ever posted (when you bother to get off your lazy butt and actually DO it)!

If you actually bothered to READ the article, it was from McCain''s OWN SITE!

''On McCain''s Web site, visitors are invited to ''Spread the Word'' about the presumptive Republican nominee by sending campaign-supplied comments to blogs and Web sites under the visitor''s screen name. The site offers sample comments...and a list of dozens of suggested destinations, conveniently broken down into ''conservative,'' ''liberal,'' ''moderate'' and ''other'' categories. Just cut and paste.
Like the fake grass for which the practice is named, such AstroTurf messages look as though they come from the grass roots but are ersatz.

McCain''s campaign has taken the same idea and given it an Internet-era twist. It also has taken the concept one step further.

People who sign up for McCain''s program receive reward points each time they place a favorable comment on one of the listed Web sites''

Especially YOU, paid by the O''''bungler campaign to sit on this board with 50 nic names to help them fight against anybody that bothers to post the truth.

Posted by RowdynTex at 04:20 PM : Dec 15, 2008

Rowdy, it was McCain''s campaign that paid people (like you) to ''AstroTurf''. Here''s the link to prove it:

Funny isn''''t it, why would I ever bother having my tech do that when I can spot your posts under your 50 different nic names a mile off...as could anybody else if they watched...

Posted by RowdynTex at 04:12 PM : Dec 15, 2008

You are soooooooo delusional! You think anyone that disagrees with you MUST be the same person. What you CAN''T possibly admit to yourself is that different people post similar things against you because they are relying on facts. Something you are unfamiliar with.

And I''ve noticed that yet again you''re posting the same nonsense without ever providing any backup as to your delusion that most defaulted mortgages are owned by builders and contractors.

Hint: You were getting warm when you admitted that that might not be the case if people had purchased OLDER homes... Get it?

Funny, though, as she always claims to be able to have her tech guy pull IP addresses from CBS''''s server. It would be easy to tell I am one person. Oh well, the paranoia can be entertaining to watch.

Posted by slownewsdaze at 04:00 PM : Dec 15, 2008

I''d say that shows both paranoia AND delusions of grandeur. My guess is that, as usual, she''s full of it, lol. But you''re right, it CAN be entertaining.

I have no idea about a computer business, and certainly not an advertising biz, Rowdy - where did you pull that from??

Posted by slownewsdaze at 03:55 PM : Dec 15, 2008

She''s projecting, since she seems to change her claim as to what her occupation is on a daily basis.

Hint clue...most of Countrywide''''''''s home are REAL ESTATE OWNED properties! NEARLY ALL OF THEM!

The only way a BANK gets one of these properties is if the builder puts them up for auction! And the only way they can do that is if the mortgage is stable.

Why do you think Countrywide went belly up?

Hint clue! Countrywide cooked the books on a bunch of loans and put them up for auction...Fannie/Freddie bought them!

Hint clue! Fannie/Freddie bundled those cooked loans with good loans and sold them on the investors market...

Hint clue! Our finance markets cratered because because they cannot be trusted!

Hint clue! There is no new money available for BANKS to secure loans with!

Class dismissed!

Were you responding to me directly? I have not really been following this thread so am uncertain as to what the exact point of contention was. It is clear however (from the little bit I did read), that several posters here are asking you to provide links to back up your claims and apparently, you haven''t. This is the typical modus operandi for you Rowdy.

Or else you bought an older home.

Posted by RowdynTex at 03:49 PM : Dec 15, 2008

Aaaah! NOW you''re catching on! LMMFAO!

THESE are the vast majority of mortgages, whether you like to admit it or NOT, Rowdy!

A) Countrywide wasn''t the only lender out there

B)You have STILL failed to prove that the majority of loans in default are via builders/contractors rather than via individuals with loans through banks, etc.

C) No one is talking here about NEW loans; we are talking about loans that already exist

D) You are an idiot.

You don''''t know who your builder is? Or who owns your loan?

How typical!

Posted by RowdynTex at 03:39 PM : Dec 15, 2008

I am well aware of who owns my loan. As to the rest of your question, since my home was built circa WWI and I bought it from the daughter of the original owner, I would classify your question as ''Not Applicable''.

It''''''''s quite obvious you people don''''''''t even know what a REO house is! Most of you don''''''''t even know what kind of deed your title policy says you have...good grief, no wonder this country is in so much trouble.

Posted by RowdynTex at 03:25 PM : Dec 15, 2008

Again, you fail to prove your assertion that the majority of homes in default are owned by builders/contractors.

You are nothing but a broken record and completely unable to engage in logical and rational discussion.

OK, we have all know the problem, lets get to the solution. Intrest rates are down, what about a refinance into a fixed rate mortgage before it''s too late?
The people of the United States know of the problems in the mortgage industry, is''nt time we stop whining and waiting for the government to come bail us out, and take the "bull by the horns".We need to start thinking and working for the positive. This includes our MEDIA. Start reporting the good things in the industry, IE- rates are falling, $7500 first time homebuyer tax incentive/loan.
Everybody in the industry, Real-Estate,Banking,Mortgage Brokers,Appraisers and Builders need to start acting responsible. No more finger pointing, just get it done and lets right this mess before it is really too late.

From what I''ve read, REO properties are not owned by builders and I can assure you, regardless, that my home is not and was NEVER an REO.
