- this guy is the real deal. we are lucky to have a thoughtful, intelligent person making about to start making decisions for us; in my view, he is not a liberal, he is a consensus builder; while he is facing an incredibly difficult challenge, i believe he has the tools to deal with that challenge.

- That was the worst interview I have ever watched in my 43 years. Steve Kroft must have had an hidden agenda. Interviews should be comfortable for both parties. An Historical interview such as this one should have been more of a conversation and not an interrogation.

- What a sad commentary on those who have nothing to say except something totaly detrimental to our way of life. But then again, we still have the freedom to say it even if it does no good or benefit anyone but the writer. In the last 8 years so many of those precious freedoms have been legislated away while we were busy blaming each other they were slipped them in on us. Spend a little more time writing and phoning those making the laws, etc. in Washington to let them know we''re not going to set back and quietly accept it any longer. Stop and think - the pen (phone, email)is mightier that the sword. If they think their job is a risk with voters back home, they may make more rational decisions.
When this world has come to an end there are not going to be little patches here and there for those who are different from each other - so let''s see what we have in common to make our lives here better. - Reply to this comment

you would think that unless you knew how many overseas citizens who cant vote in our elections , and are as intolerant as any texan they are crying about,decide they have an opinion that matters in our elections ..
