- For the past 8yrs this country has been starving for LEADERSHIP, not just a person in a LEADERSHIP POSITIION, but TRUE LEADERSHIP. Although we''ve elected another President of the United States (which just so happens to be my 8th) the thurst for leadership still remains. People are HOPING that Obama fulfills that thurst. Until that thurst is quenched, people in this country are still thursting for LEADERSHIP. In the Bible, the children of Isreal wondered in the wilderness for 40yrs. Just as a reminder, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. died 40yrs ago. I "hope" and pray that the good Lord had more of a hand in THIS election than before and that we can truly heal the land. God Bless our next President and God bless America.

I wish all republicans were as moronic as you; unfortunately, there are at least some who have figured out that this was a *** brilliant campaign. You don''t raise that kind of money and garner that kind of electoral and popular vote unless you are doing something right... people will not turn out in these numbers just to vote for "someone else" especially when you are already assured there will be a change. So keep your head in the sand; the more people who think this is a fluke and they don''t need ot do anything about it, the better it is for us. - Reply to this comment
- President elect Obama is bi-racial. I have Afro-American friends and they are black, no mix in them, it really doesn''t matter what you call him....he is the next President of the USA surrounded by what looks like an almost all white cabinet.

Our Glorious Leader Obama''''''''''''''''s inner circle is a bunch of white guys?????
What''''s up with that?
How is that change?
How is that a new day?

It''s a new day because Obama, unlike the white presidents and white Americans believes in diversity. Unlike the GOP and their party of racists who had this white superiority complex when it came to dealing with our country as well as others. That''s the old way of politics, Obama is bringing about a newer and better America by uniting everyone and making equality a priority, not race. - Reply to this comment
- see the media s still calling Obama a black man. This is just not true. Obama''''''''s mother was 100% white. They seem to forget that. The media should refer to Obama as biracial. It is racist to call Obama black. He is 1/2 white.

Obama is a black man, very obviously. If he were not the president, you would definitely be calling him a black man. Through history, any black blood makes him black. All of a sudden now, he''s not black, please. You just hate the fact that we have elected a black president. But that is something you have to justify for yourself. The world and the rest of us know that we have a black president in the white house. LOL!!!!! There''s a new sheriff in town. - Reply to this comment
- Obama first priority free the terrorist from gitmo, bring em to the american streets, try them, and either let them go or send them to our jails so that tax payers can support them the rest of their lifes. Excellent Idea Obama.

- President-Elect Barack Obama''s team did an outstanding job, and what I like best about the campaign is that is wasn''t about race. 60 Minutes good job on your interview and wish Ed Bradley was here to witness this great history.

I for one am a fascinated to see how long she can keep this up! It must be really draining, especially when you see all the excited happy people on these websites. - Reply to this comment
- Obama''s speech when he launched his campaign is very reminiscent of JFK''s inaurural speech: "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." Just another similarity JFK. This could be the return of Camelot.

- The biggest move they made was using the Internet, talking DIRECTLY to WE the PEOPLE. That made all the rumors and mud slinging made famous by the Republican Attack Machine worthless! Sure they put it all out there, He''s a Muslim, He agrees with Rev. Wright, He pals around with Terrorist.. I could go on but NONE of it stuck because BEFORE the Republican''s had it out to their sheep, Obama''s site had already told us the facts about them, thus, even though the simple minded repeated it all up until the last minute, it made NO difference!

- Congratulations to the crookedest, nastiest campaign team in US history! You people lied, denied, evaded and crashed your way into American History! Congratulations on raising more Arabic/Muslim, and corporate American money than any other candidate in history, and by putting fake names to it.
I guess Obslime-a was right! Half this country is STUPID and believes his KRAP!
Obslime-a likes ''''em stupid and gullible.

- You failed to mention that the mainstream media gave its wholehearted support to electing Obama. His victory is not so much due to devising a brilliant strategy as it is to seducing the liberal broadcasting industy.

WHAT did you want the Media to do? Run pieces on LIES like the Domestic Terrorist Garbage? Look when you run a CONSTANT RELENTLESS NEGATIVE Campaign, do NOT expect the Media to help you! Can YOU or anyone else show us ANYTHING Positive McSame put out? EVERY BREATH was an attack on OBAMA! They even TOLD the media they intended to make the election ABOUT Obama! LOL WE the PEOPLE were not interested in hearing what McSame and Falin thought about Obama! - Reply to this comment

IS there ANY American in you AT ALL? He didn''t pick these men and they didn''t join the team because he was BLACK. Can''t you READ? They said they never ONCE held a meeting on Race... it was people like YOU that kept the race issue alive with the Rev. Wright and His Father. Obama WON! He didn''t win by telling us that McCain was to old.. he won by telling us HE would change the Bush Economic Plan... that''s what we wanted to hear. Now THAT is the DECISION of WE the PEOPLE. You can throw all the mud and slime in the world at the American People but IF you aren''t at least talking about how YOU intend to represent the people, will they listen! - Reply to this comment

You OBVIOUSLY didn''t watch CNN this weekend. His inner circle is reflective of ALL ethnic groups, just like America. But I''m sure you''ll find something to complain about that too. - Reply to this comment

- Amazing to watch people here still arguing about the outcome of this election. Obama won fair and square and if certain people don''''t like that because the outcome went against them, then they should move on.
It''''s also patently obvious McCain lost because of a bunch of very bad decisions: Sarah Palin, Bill Ayers, "suspending" his campaign to sort out the financial crisis and most importantly not being the John McCain everyone remembered and respected before engaging in one of the worst run campaigns ever witnessed.
Game over.

- Our Children and their Children''s Children will recount what we have done here, the WALL that the YOUTH of this nation took down, will live in history forever! I just hope, for them, their HOPE isn''t shot down by some mad man and take away their chance to see the difference THEY can make. These folks lead the way but it was a ground swell of AMERICAN SPIRIT who set out to take their Country back and they did it. NO message, No staging, NO glitz''s could carry out the message this man did!! Go Obama!!
