- This is no less than an attempt to destroy The United States of America through the use of Economic Terrorism. Paulson is the Architect, Bush is the Compliant Idiot, and Congress and the Senate are the Beneficiaries. We the Citizens of America are the Collateral Damage in a war against Freedom.

- I thought Hank the Snake Paulson said that "the economy was healthy" not fragile.
Paulson has to be the biggest crook that was ever appointed by Wall Street to be a stooge in Government.
We need either McCain or Obama to be Andrew Jackson and KILL THE BANK! - Reply to this comment

- How much did Scott Pelly say Paulson was worth? I thought I heard (I did) $500,000,00.00. Yikes, and Mr. Secretary you made all that money by the "buy and hold" strategy many financial people speak of? When did you start investing in the stock market? What did you say Mr. Secretary, when you were in your mother''s womb. *** right this guy is dirty. Hey Paulson, start throwing you nickles in first.

- This is not a site for Dems vs. Repubs. They all did dirty stuff. Now, is the time to be AMERICANS and demand from government what you elected them to do. If they violated the public trust and it can be proved they must be prosecuted!

- The comment drunk vs. inexperience does have logic and is totally relevant. If you do not think so why not have a DRUNK drive your wife and kids home some evening and see if he/she has the EXPERIENCE to hold unto the steering wheel and not drift off into thee next lane and hit a car head on?

- Go directly to jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.
Take Obama''s top economic advisors who made off with tens of millions of taxpayer dollars from Fannie Mae with you. - Reply to this comment
- That comment is without any logic. Inexperience relates to drunk how? Especially when you consider also crack smoking, criminal and America-hating friends and wife, ACORN, I could go on....

- Economy got you down? It''s okay. Take a little advice from Brian Cohen (Monthy Python''s "Life of Brian") and always look on the bright side of life:
Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you''re chewing life''s gristle,
Don''t grumble,
Give a whistle
And this''ll help things turn out for the best.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistle]
If life seems jolly rotten,
There''s something you''ve forgotten,
And that''s to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you''re feeling in the dumps,
Don''t be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That''s the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]
For life is quite absurd
And death''s the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It''s your last chance, anyhow.
So...
Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistle]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistle]
Life''s a piece of s-h-i-t,
When you look at it.
Life''s a laugh and death''s a joke it''s true.
You''ll see it''s all a show.
Keep ''em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistle]

- Hey, no talk of impeachment yet? Now this Imperial President wants $700,000,000,000.00 of our money. Was not the cost of the Iraq War enough to infuriate all AMERICANS in terms of the lives lost and then the money squandered? Did you watch the segment after Paulson with Leslie Stahl interviewing Gen. Odinerio who is now the new Gen. in charge in Iraq after Gen.Petraus? Walking around with the Gen. Ms. Stahl asked the Iraqi people if their country is better because of the Americans and their new "freedom" they all said NO! Tell me when the impeachment proceedings start against a president who falsely led this nation to war and is responsible for the deaths of over 4000 service men and women and thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children? Now this same president wants you the American taxpayer to bail ourselves out of a financial mess that he is responsible for creating along with the same people he was going to entrust with Social Security. Wake Up, America demand action now!

- Why bother to have any further debates or even hold an election for that matter? Everyday Wall Street numbers go down Mr. Obama''s go up, or has anyone not seen this as of lately? The recent stunt today 09/29/08 by congressional republicans with the excuse that House Speaker Pelosi "hurt our feelings" with her comments is just ***! What a bunch of children, not men or women just sniffling children. And oh by the way you all just gave the presidency to Obama. Now, I know the news media will report a tight race but that is only to ensure that people vote. Actual returns will be 60% Obama 40% WHo? Just watch and see even hard core repubs will vote for the O MAN.

- from henry paulson on 60 minutes 9/28/08:
Scott, I''ve had a lot of knots in my stomach, but I would say last Wednesday night, when the capital markets froze, when there started to be a run on money markets, banks stopped lending to each other. And, I know people in America won''t understand what that means, but if money doesn''t flow freely between financial institutions, then it impacts everyone in the country," Paulson explained
I am so offended by his comment regarding people in america won''t understand what that means.
unfortunately, we understand all too well what it means. what a pompous *** to insult us. - Reply to this comment
- I hear Paulson and the other''s talking about the melt down of our economy if this $700 billion is not approved but I''m not sure what this actually means and how it will happen. Where is this $700 billion coming from? How will it affect people across the spectrum, from those who are barely making it to those who can boast a six figure salary? How is this going to help people in the South get gas? How will it help the American communities that have been hit by Gustav and Ike? Will people still be hit by these foreclosures or will some part of this money go to bail out the people who''ve been hurt by this? Can someone explain to me in 4th grade terms what the heck is going on? shelton4258@yahoo.com
