Give us a break, the media and people like you took Obama through a thorough lashing. The only difference between him and Palin is what they found in their investigation of Obama was more rumors than truth. Palin, on the other hand was found to be guilty of most of the issues involving her. I saw people over in Alaska, a whole lot of them who are pro Obama. They had signs that said, ''Not All Alaskans Support Palin'', and ''I voted for her once but never again.'' WOW!!!!!!!! - Reply to this comment

Awe......back to Rev. wright?
You GOP tools are boring.
This whole thing started when we elected the oilman from Texas who never found a drop of oil in his career.
In the last 8 years or so Republicans have shown me that they will do anything and everything in their power to keep you from retaining an opinion based on the facts that their incompetence is comprised of.
The trillion plus we waste in Iraq could have done so much more for our security or economy if spent on just about anything else.
We might not own Iraq but we certainly are paying for it. - Reply to this comment
- I wonder how much the so called "Rev." Wright has put in his head over the last 20 plus years. At first Obama stood up for him,but then threw in the same pit as his grandma who raised his butt along with some others he was told to get away from. Why will the media not check this guy out like they did Palin? We
know about everything she has done her entire life. What about Obama? Do You really know anything about him other than he can read a teleprompter and is pretty much lost without it? - Reply to this comment

You are missing Obama up with McCain. He changes is mind more than he changes his socks. Maybe that''s why you are voting for the wrong guy, you are mixing them up. LOL!!!!!! - Reply to this comment

If not for racist whites, we would have had a diverse presidential system long before 2008. Blacks, so they say, only make up 13% of the population. So it took a lot more than 90% of us to get Obama in. LOL!!! Believe there are more whites who voted him in than any other race. That''s according to the census which says that the whites make up something like 70-80% of America. Wake up!!! DUH!!!!!! - Reply to this comment

Let''s face it, there is no perfect politician. There is not perfect human being. For the people who are looking for perfection, he died and rose again. But to want the same old thing and not even consider change is suicidal for our country. More of the same is definitely not the answer. I work for the government, believe me it''s not what it was before the Bush administration. I work for the Dept. of Homeland Security, things are a lot different from the Dept. of Justice. The Dept. of Justice was a whole lot better. - Reply to this comment
- The only voters basing their ballot on race are the old people in both parties. Young people are going to make a big difference in this election, thank God. Fortunately theirs will be based on issues and facts and not race. I personally would say that over 50% of them will vote for the right reasons.

- Minnick8,
No he made all of his money off writting a few books about himself. Never wrote any anything much in congress to help the people in his home state that elected him. I never heard of him until until this election started, but the people of his home state sure know all he has done for them. He did get some buildings removed of some asbestos, what a great personal victory that must have been. - Reply to this comment

So, move to France or Zimbabwe or Libya. Enjoy life is a socialistic, liberal country or a country that was liberal that has now been taken over by a dictator. - Reply to this comment
- The mismanagement of the American "brand" has been recognized by the American electorate, and can be seen in the facts related to the huge number of Congressional seats now "in play." Reports confirm that scores of additional Republican Congressional districts are now considered ready to shift away from the failures of a "Republican" administration that has spent the nation into near bankruptcy.
Big spending Republicans are directly to blame. That''s right, Borrow and Spend, Republicans. What happened to fiscal conservatism? ...Ask George W. Bush!!
Normally, Congressional seats are not influenced by American foreign policy blunders, but today, a combination of rising unemployment and skyrocketing gas prices have awoken the American voter to the fact that there is a direct connection between Republican foreign policy and economic crises here at home. Our economy and our children''s future have been mortgaged to China, so Bush could pay for HIS WAR.
The results seem to be pointing toward a tsunami of voter rejection for Republican candidates who are properly seen as aiding and abetting the Bush War in Iraq and the wholesale transfer of American jobs overseas. Blind support by Republicans for Bush has exacerbated our economic crises. And, the Republican "old hands" know it; they are retiring from Congress in droves.
Republicans won''t be missed. - Reply to this comment

lala, Yes, we the people should put into power the most liberal nominee who has ever run for President of the United States. I can''t wait till he sits down with the terrorists for a civil conversation. It will make me feel so much safer and better. - Reply to this comment

Awe.....nothing to say?
Republican = a stunning lack of competency.
Republicans hired Halliburton to run the rebuilding of Iraq. What did we get? A crumbling Iraq and TOO MANY dead Americans because Halliburton doesn''t know how to build showers THAT DON''T ELECTRICUTE our soldiers. Meanwhile the Air force generals get new leather chairs in their airplanes.
We can''t have our soldiers showering in safety in Iraq while our generals relax to death in their new chairs.
Republicans are sick people. Republican Americans should do America a favor:

ANOTHER BANKING BAILOUT!!!
Remember Keating 5?
How much did John McCain cost us in tax dollars?
The U.S. Savings and Loan crisis of the 1980s and 1990s was the failure of 747 savings and loan associations (S&Ls) in the United States. The ultimate cost of the crisis is estimated to have totaled around $160.1 billion, about $124.6 billion of which was directly paid for by the U.S. taxpayer.
Now we have a new bailout? What have conservatives conserved? Taxes for our children for decades to come?
Conservatively helped 4100 Americans die in a 2 trillion dollar war in a land that had nothing to do with who killed 3000 Americans on US soil?
Republicans like to Privatize Wealth and Socialize Debt.
The buck doesn''t stop anywhere with Republicans cause they just print more bucks. Republicans are conservative with only three things: Intelligence, thoughtfulness and accountability.
On Nov. 4th, McCain/Palin, "Thanks, But No Thanks". The Democrats get my vote, I decided this years ago.
Stop voting for Republicans, they are the greediest and sickest people.

Actually, I would rather ask you: how do conclude that deficit spending is the cause of "hyperinflation"? - Reply to this comment
- Lalabradle,
I agree with you on some things, everyone who works deserves the same chance and if Obama is your guy, thats your choice. I just hope with a democratic president and a democratic congress they don''t go wild on handouts to ones that do nothing but complain about not getting more. When I go into a store and buy a tv dinner and the handout guy in front of me is getting steaks on food stamps it just upsets me some.
Most of these programs come from the handout democratic party. - Reply to this comment
- A telling exchange, even with CBS''s softballs:
Kroft: Why do you think you''d be a good president?
Obama: Well, I think that when you think about the challenges we face, these are challenges that require us to look forward and not backwards; when it comes to the economy I think we have to realize that we are now in a global economy.
Kroft: Why you? I mean, why do you think you would be a good president?
Obama: Well, I was gonna get to that.
Kroft: All right.
Obama: I think both by training and disposition. I understand where we need to take the country. - Reply to this comment

- It''s bad enough that Bush has brought down the respect and trust of America with our allies, the few we have left. But you want to put a senile, sick, old McCain and a hockey mom whose hunting skills seem to be better than her parenting, and you really want this group of misfits to represent US. Okay, we the people need to take America back, the Republicans have lost their minds. But they still think they are fooling us. SHHHHH!!!! LOL

- Next time McCain and the pubs start talking to you about "lowering taxes", remind them of the hyperinflation their deficit spending has caused.
