- I FIND THIS POLL HARD TO BELIEVE.
There is NO BASIS for a bump in the poll of +8 for Obama; NO OTHER POLL shows such a result - they have remained as flat as the OBAMA SPEECH!
If anything, because of all the excitement over McCain''s pick of Palin as his VP, I''d expect a 8 bump in the Republican polls this week.
The "spectacular" Obama presentation made him and his campaign look frivolous and superficial; voters had an opportuinity to be totally bored by Biden.
At the same time, Republicans are besides themselves with excitement over their new VP pick. Republicans project an attitude of relief and PRIDE in a brand new campaign, where they are now the history-making party running the woman who may become the first female American President.
I have NEVER seen a political blunder with such far-reaching consequences as the one Democrats made when they removed Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Presidential candidate. This action by itself has energized Republicans and Conservatives and handed over to them the 2008 election!
When one sees Rush Limbaugh twirling on his toesies over his party''s successful campaign strategy, one does NOT see an accompanying 8 point "bump" in the opposition''s standings.
The Republicans are now the action party to watch with the "BABE" on the ticket. No way are they going to give this one up! No way will we see a positive "bump" in the Democratic polls except in their own dreams. - Reply to this comment

- The cover-up of the pregnancy story continues...from an interchange on MarketWatch blog:
Try this link. Sarah is supposedly 7 1/2 months pregnant in this photo while her 17 (16 then?) year old daughter is out of school (for 8 months!) with mono. Do you think she looks pregnant at all. Supposedly, when she did "deliver her baby" it was a speech in Texas, flight to Anchorage, and shuttle to her small town AFTER she started leaking amniotic fluid. Hardy or Hardly!

- Palin should resign immediately...she is a disgrace to our nation. She has mentored her daughter with immorality. Her daughter had *** while unmarried and underage. In fact, Palin should be in jail. Letting such immorality spread in her family is totally un-American.

I was sarcastically pointing out the total hypocrisy that the neo-cons have...if the same thing happened with the Dems, the neo-cons/Republicans would be all over the tv right now foaming at the mouth, spitting drool, with their faces turning red saying just what I said above...you know it, don''t lie... - Reply to this comment
- The only hope that McCain has now is to let Palin bend over with her fanny sticking out in front of the camera while wearing something skimpy...lol....

- The fact that we are here talking about this like a soap opera makes me wonder what planet John McCain is running on. What was McCain thinking?

- Sen. Obama said on the News today that Gov. Palin`s family was off limits! A noble gesture by Sen. Obama, too bad his family is not off limits, too bad the opposition don`t feel the same about his family! On a late night talk show one joke was his daughter should shut up, implying she talked too much, I saw her and thought she was sweet and innocent. It`s always very important to watch what you say because what you say has a way of coming back to haunt you! For example, Sen. McCain ran TV ads comparing Sen. Obama with Britney Spears and as you know Britney Spears 17 year old sister got pregnant! Isn`t it ironic that Sen. McCains running mate, the moral values selection, Gov. Palin`s 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant! Ha! You see? It`s called Karma! What goes around, comes around! LOL

- I find it interesting that people like ragnar30066 only mention Obama''s time in the U.S. Senate, yet conveniently "forget" that he served in the Illinois State Senate as well. In fact, he was re-elected twice before being elected to the U.S. Senate. Palin''s experience? Let''s see, mayor of a village with a population of 6,500 residents -- oh yes, and governor for 20 months of a state with a population of 670,000. There aren''t even 1 million residents in Alaska. Yeah. She''s ready.

- Hey jghutto we all know those nasty things Dubya said about McCain in 2000. You Re-Pubics didn''t vote for McCain then why now--if old George who has done such a great job the last 8 years were still running I bet you would still chose him over Old John and the Eskimo/.

- Well, we want to believe Joe Biden - he has been around a while, and he said OBAMA DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE TO BE PRESIDENT. He is a member of Obama''s democratic party; you would think that he should know.
