"We were watching, a couple of weeks ago, the broadcast Free Hour. And one of the guests said that Israel''''s policies toward the Palestinians amounts to, in his words, a Holocaust conducted by a racist state. Were you aware of that?"

A true sign of an ignorant neocon, Pelley cannot show how the words of the guest are not true, so he harps on the messenger, totally ignoring the content of the message.

Re: "But after nearly half a billion dollars, "The Free One" is seen by most Arabs as the U.S. government station, "The Cheney Channel" as some have called it,"

That''''s funny...but I thought that CBS Newz had already won this distinction?

hkjonus:

Gentile-Americans outnumber Jewish-Americans by about 50-to-1.

Gentile-Americans outnumber all the Jews in the entire world by about 20-to-1.

Gentiles outnumber the world''s Jews by about 400-to-1.

So, if Jews are controlling CBS, it proves how weak, ineffective and limp-wristed Gentiles like you actually are.

I find it ironic that 60 Minutes, who introduced us to "Al Hurra," meaning "The Free One," while RIDICULING the notion that this US induced TV station would allow them to speak as they want to speak, whether it be in denying the holocaust or whatever other subject they choose to discuss. Sure, I think that ideas about the holocaust never existing is absolutely ludicrous, however, if they truly have freedom with this channel, should they not be left alone to discuss it? If indeed the true theme behind this station is freedom, then why does 60 Minutes have a problem with them discussing whatever they please. Of course we are dealing with CBS, who fired Dan Rather for reporting on Bush getting out of the Vietnam War through his father''s connections. CBS has a problem with journalistic freedom. Dan Rather was the greatest journalist of all time, and CBS fired him. And if we are wanting to get into suppressing conversations that stir contraversy, than 60 Minutes just gave that desire a jump start. I really don''t care what "Al Hurra," meaning "The Free One," cares to discuss, I only care that they have the freedom to discuss whatever they want, a priviledge that unfortunately has been lacking in our own American journalism, right Dan?

CBS has to hark on the anti-semitic stuff every chance it gets. Israel IS a racist country, that''s a fact. There wont be peace over there until the USA unhinges itself from those manipulative Jews. Oh no! Did I say something negative about the Jews? I''m sure I''ll be censored on this site because everyone at CBS is a Jew or a Jew lover.

This broadcasting is a total waste of tax-payer money and should be eliminated for that reason NOT because a reopter had the audacity to question toe Israeli treatment of the Palestians.

And why is that?

Re: "It''s how we define our war on terrorism. Most people interpret it as a war on Islam," he says."

Many folks, including several pro-regime posters on this site, aren''t even attempting to hide this apparent primary objective any longer.

They hate/fear all Muslims, and they hope to wipe them out with their holy war crusade.

I don''t understand the problem here, Mr. Pelley. Can you challenge any of these claims?

Re: "And every other Arab channel in the Middle East carried it. I think you look kind of un-credible if you don''t cover it."

This is a huge vulnerability of U.S.-funded propaganda efforts such as this.

Re: "Asked what being "more credible" means, Register tells Pelley..."

Mr. Pelley wasn''t simply asking this as a rhetorical question.

PELLEY REALLY DOES NOT KNOW THE ANSWER!!!

Re: "After Israel assassinated the founder of the militant group Hamas, Al Hurra stuck with a cooking show."

Hillarious!

Sounds like CBS/Scott Pelley coverage of the Middle East and Israel.

Bush should try to ban all real free journalism in the middle east and impose the CNN and Fox news Channels translated in Arabic. Those channels (like al hurra) would be some great tools to tell the Arabs they are terrorists an that Israel is a great victim. Tell Arabs they are Bad and Israel is the best! Way to go Liar935Bush!

This is amazing but 60 Minutes recently did an "expose" on the US Arab radio station accusing it of exactly the same thing.
We have over 41 years of occupation in area that has seen the complete bulldozing of over 18000 Palestinian homes, over 60% of the West Bank reserved exclusively for Jewish use, the entire Gaza Strip under the most extensive embargo it has ever suffered, the continuation of land confiscation, the transfer of Jewish civialians to those lands contrary to international law, the biggest number of international law violations and for far longer than any other country, Palestinians killed by the hundreds, and Israel is supposed to be beyond criticism?
Whatever the Arab countries lack there''s no reason whatsoever for Israel to behave this way and keep invoking every shortcoming in every Arab country as an excuse to do what they''re doing to the Palestinians.
It''s despicable on Israel''s part and someone needs to say so.

Shame on you Mr. Pelley . I had a great admiration for you in the past but you blew it big. Since when Israel became one of our states? I believe if they had said racist Germany or France you wouldn''t have objected. How can you call yourself a journalist?
