What''s the possibility that you are wrong again?
These people are warped by religion. Why don''t you focus your prayers and tears towards our own people in this country. We have widows and mourning parents of children that have DIED to fight for these useless humans. It''s their own *** fault they live like this and it is their GOD that makes it happen. - Reply to this comment
- I was very moved by this story and commend Mr. Pelly for having the courage to stand up for those who put their lives on the line for Americans. I was expecting to see many other posts from others who were also deeply affected by the fact that these people put their own lives and that of their families in harms way to help Americans. Instead, I was again reminded of how some Americans are so blinded by their political parties views or their prejudices that they can''t appreciate the amazing sacrifice these people have made.
I was inspired by Mr. Pelly and every one of these brave people and would like to know what the average American like myself, can do to help. - Reply to this comment
- i think the iraquis should stay in iraq. i am grateful for the help but that does not mean we want more foreigners brought to the united states, where american taxpayers are suffering from all the costs caused by immigrants. our medical costs are causing the closing down of hospitals here. our education costs to educate children from all of these countries are causing huge increases in education costs to educate children who dont know our languages, customs, etc. it is time to let people from other countries STAY IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES.

- "They are quick to criticize the West, yet they do very little to lift a finger to do anything that would make positive difference within their own region. It''''''''s most hypocritical. How about covering that for a change instead of only shining the light on the U.S.? "
EXACTLY
They play DUMB over there. Our soldiers are trained in only months to go over and protect them and help them and we have been there years trying to teach them and they can''t get it right! WHY? Because of the same reason it is a mess and always will be...their warped religion. They believe they should kill anyone who has a different religion? Well, lets start right here...my religion is different than theres and I guess we are stronger....bye bye. I say flatten that place and get it out of the news. - Reply to this comment
- I hate to burst a bubble here, but as Iraqis these people belong in Iraq, especially if they are pro west or pro democracy.
I sugest that 100 percent of their oil revenue is allocated to support and resituate these people, until this crisis is solved.
If they are so threatened by their neighbours, the Iraqi government should build them a brand new city. They should turn this situation into an opportunity. Build a planned city, like Brasilia in Brasil, a futuristic one, that has electricity, sanitation, water and modern infrastructure.
Unrealistic? Why? This country is potentially filthy rich. The fourth biggest oil reserves in the world says it4s possible. Think big. - Reply to this comment
- "GOD IS ON OUR SIDE"
And it is their GOD that caused all their problems. I say leave them there. It''s their country, their problem, THEIR GOD and they need to straighten it out.
Whether we were after WMD or terrorists that country and their religion has been the biggest problem in the news since I have been on this earth and longer. It is that side of the earth where Jesus and the bible arose and they were killing then - it''s in the bible. I think we should have flattened the land so we wouldn''t have to be reading about them any longer. It''s not our problem they are all warped and brain-washed. They can be very convincing to get into our country and then they learn to fly and use our own peaceful planes to kill and destroy. As long as they pray to their GOD they don''t need to be here because that is where they troubles began! - Reply to this comment

EXACTLY! They do NOT respect us once they are here! It is there religion that they believe in that has caused them so much "destruction on a country that has seen the worst that could happen to their population." They are behind the times and warped. As long as they practice their religion they will live that way because their religion demands killing and murdering. They bow and pray to the same GODS that teach them to kill others. - Reply to this comment
- Here''''s hoping for a big earthquake in Iraq! Why can''''t we have a major catastrophe THERE? 50,000 dead there would be a blessing.

My God Sir; Have World conditions messed you up so bad that you would wish more destruction on a country that has seen the worst that could happen to their population? Try to put yourself in a country occupied by foreigners, no electricity, no running water, you family members raped and killed by the occupying forse, etc. I hope you may never have to go through what your wishing on the people of Iraq. - RE: The List
Historically, when USA is involved in wars, conflicts, the military relies heavily on US sympathizers to provide intelligence, resistance, COLLABORATION from civilians/citizens. Historically, the STATE DEPT then reneges on implied promises, concrete contracts. It happened in Korea, it happened in Vietnam, it hapened in Cambodia. The refugees from deposed governments, then come to US to regroup, get exposed to US democracy, then return to their countries to promote democracy in some form for their countries. If we renege as a nation on our RESPONSIBILITY to our allies, we create bitterness and then our allies are our allies NO MORE. People-please educate yourselves on the realities, before reacting in a patently jingoistic way. Please engate brain before opening mouth. - Reply to this comment

- 60 Minutes is nothing more than "60 Minutes" of liberal dogma...............
How many times has the old liberal staff of 60 Minutes been caught promoting liberal causes and how many times have the attacked the GOP with smear stories?
.................thousands.....while in our own country innocent folks continue to suffer in our poverty ridden "deep blue one-party" cities. - Reply to this comment

What works one way doesn''t work the other way in this parallel universe.
If we invade a country, they should rejoice and give us flowers.
If another country invades us, they are evil and must be destroyed. - Reply to this comment

If an omnipotent deity was indeed "on our side", we wouldn''t need to be at war. - Reply to this comment

As they should be, they are traitors to their own people.
Any Americans openly collaborating with a military adversary of the US would be treated exactly the same, so what is the point of this article, to simply illustrate the obvious? - Reply to this comment

GOD IS ON OUR SIDE. - Reply to this comment
- The Iraq War is a clear example of what happens when you start believing your own propaganda.
We are strong on foreign policy.
We are the protectors.
We support our armed forces the best.
We have the military experience on our side from the first gulf war.
Yadda. Yadda. Yadda.
Lesson for all political parties going forward - DO NOT EAT YOUR OWN PROPAGANDA! - Reply to this comment

- Well .... whatcha know ''''bout that. Seems OBAMA was right about one thing. It would be CRIMINAL to allow John McCain to win the Oval Office. He did find the ''''ELEMENT'''' to gainig CLINTON supporters. AMERICA CAN''''T AFFORD FOUR YEARS of JOHN McCAIN. I CANNOT BELIEVE ''''RED TAPE'''' IS INTERFERING WITH SAVING THESE PEOPLES LIVES! LOOK WHAT WE''''VE (the US) DONE!! The BUSH administration toppled TWO SUNNI REGIMES. The gov''''t of AFGHANISTAN (Taliban), and IRAQ. The US is seen in muslim eyes as aiding ISRAEL in it''''s battle with HAMAS (Sunnis). And the SHI''''ITES? McCain''''s hinting towards military action against IRAN (SHI''''ITE Central!), and you''''re aiding the Lebanese (sunni, oldly enuff) in their conflict with HEZBOLLAH (SHI''''ITE). ANY muslim who helped the US in IRAQ IS IN DANGER! Doesn''''t take a genius to figure that one out. My new SLOGAN? VOTE DEMOCRAT !!!!!!!!!

(ROTFLMAO) BUSH went to EGYPT & SAUDI ARABIA (sunni nations), and asked for increased oil production to AID THE US ECONOMY?! (Laughin'' so hard I can''t breathe) Wasn''t BUSH just on TV helping ISRAEL commemorate the 60th birthday (the very thing ALL MUSLIMS despise the US for)?! Castro was right .... BUSH IS as stupid as he sounds. - Reply to this comment
