- I thought this idiot was supposed to have moved overseas if Bush became president. Just like a stupid liberal, he knows how good he got it here in the USA and knows that this country allows one to be stupid and not be killed for it. Baldwin needs to worry about not being a sorry drunk and a deranged father before he considers anything else. Go learn to talk to your daughter you arrogant hollywood toilet.

- For some reason, your Alec Baldwin interview reminds me of the Cold War. Forgive me my perspective: I served (20 years (1971-1991 US Army) during that period. I guess that defines me as a "Cold Warrior" and colors my perspective. Anyway, I have decided that Mr Baldwin is an idiot of international caliber!
Here''s the baseline: I had high hopes that the former Soviet Union and the United States would become friends once the macho *** died down...
And then we both elected idiots! Putin and GWB43 are twins seperated at birth! Barbara Bush should be investigated!
Alec Baldwin''s remarks and views are so idiotic that they elevate him to the level I heretofor reserved for Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush (43), and Vladimir Putin: Genius level idiot.
Donations for bomb shelter supplies are cheerfully accepted. Just don''t take too long - I figure we have less than 5 years...

- side note to bckennyg :
and I would attack Sean Hannity any day since he is such a big idiot with no intelligence, and a clear bigot. How he was ever given a microphone is a mystery we will never figure out. (Yes I have listened to his show, makes me proud to be liberal and a democrat , that I don''t sound like him !)
still like the Obama- Baldwin idea.
Sanity vs Hannity ANY DAY - Reply to this comment
- And you later apologized by just calling him a lying, thieving oil *** and a murderer of the U.S. Constitution," Safer replies.
He describes *** Cheney to a T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You go, Alec !
Isn''t it great to be a liberal Democrat these days ?
An Obama- Baldwin ticket ? Might help bring back SANITY to America again.
Oh yeah and that BS about his daughter.....
....sounds just like an angry dad disciplining his daughter to me.
Why can''t these do-gooder "parents" just mind their own *** kids and their own *** business....
must be why I chose to be childless by choice to avoid parent nights with these types.
great story ~ thanks Morey ! - Reply to this comment
- This man is an abuser, and your show is enabling his abuse. no way can he excuse his nasty behavior to his DD. he tries to make it sound like he is somehow a victim. he called his daughter nasty and vile names. and your show ignores that????? shame on you!!!!!!!!! go read on domestic violence. this man is classic. shame and major shame on YOU

- As an adult and a father, it is my responsibility to show a child how to properly handle any given situation. I learned a low about Alec Baldwin in the phone call he made to his child. I have dealt with far more pressure in my life than Mr. Baldwin can possibly imagine. The difference is that I deal with problems in a manner that does not include name calling. Mr. Baldwin could never handle the pressure of a campaign. If I were the candidate running against him, it would be easy to make him lose control. He may have great skill as an actor but his self control in the remainder of his life is obviously lacking. Morly Safer seems to have a double standard. I have no doubt that if he caught Mr. Cheney or Mr. Hannity doing the same thing as Mr. Baldwin, He would have a hay day. And by the way Mr. Safer, Mr. Baldwin did not continue as Jack Ryan because he held out for more money, not because he declined to continue in the role.

- Your ethics clearly come out, when you do a story on Alec Baldwin and attack Sean Hannity for his assessment of Alec Baldwin as a talk show host and yet it is ok for Alec to call a child what he did. Any adult that was caught doing that other than your favorites, you would be doing a story on the dept of human services in that state to find out why they were not doing their job in child abuse cases. Also, I think you need to check your facts. The reason Alec Baldwin did not continue in the role as Jack Ryan, at least as reported in the news, was because he wanted more money than they were willing to pay. I thought at the time it was a stupid move on his part and I still do. He has a hard time getting his facts straight.

- As a single father to three (15, 12,10), the middle of whom is my 12 year-old, very bright and verbally adroit, daughter, Mr. Baldwin has my sincere empathy. Morley has no clue as to what it is to raise children in today''s. My daughter has said things to me which my father would have knocked me into the next room had I said them to him; yet, within the context of her peer-group of sixth graders--most of whom go to church every Sunday, the f-word is common place. Ours is a mixed rural/suburban school district near Wichita, KS, with the highest test scores of any district around; I mention this for additional context. So, again, Mr. Baldwin has my empathy, and likely support, should he run for office.

- Thank god I was not taped or followed by reporters when I was going through a painful divorce. It is one of the most agonizing experience any family goes through. Most of us do not recognize the behaviors brought out in us during this most emotional time. If this process is complicated by a spiteful, nasty spouse using the children as pawns it can drive any person to do regretful acts. You have my vote Alec!!!

- I find Alec Balwin very refreshing. I hope he runs for office. Just what the Dems need "a liberal democrat with a punch". He is real. I appriciate his efforts to bring light to the Family Court mess. Love ya Alec!

- I wish 60 minutes had used the time spent on Baldwin interview on someone more honorable.
I really was turned off by this guy, what does he have to offer as an example of WHAT??????
He is an arrogant pretty boy. - Reply to this comment
- Mr. Alec Baldwin is an excellent actor. However, since that phone call to his daughter HE now needs to earn back the trust of his fans. Politics would be difficult until the assurance level of the voters has been met. Perhaps a parenting class and anger management? He needs to build a resume of correcting that issue. Sadly, the common folk all have some of the same issues BUT; we hold our STARS & POLITICIANS to a higher standard. At least we should. Best of luck to Mr. Alec Baldwin. I love him in Third Rock.

- Alec,
You are the greatest, Fantastic. I really enjoyed it that you did not let Morley get away with judging you. Frankly if Morley had to walk a mile in your shoes he''d probably be dead. I am another of those thats getting sick of this sanctimonious garbage where its all do as I say not as I do.
Keep on keepin on and I''ll be looking out for you on the big screen.
