I am certainly sorry for what happened to Pat Tillman, and no family should have to go through what his family has had to endure. What I find upsetting about this entire story is that after four years this is still making news. This is only still making news because Pat Tillman gave up a multi-million dollar contract to play football to join the military. The John Doe next door who had this happen to him would never be in the news this long.

Don''t forget... three shots to the head. THREE SHOTS IN PAT TILLMAN''S HEAD. Murder. Powder burns from the close proximity of the shots. Americans who want the truth are patriotic. Americans who support lies are anti-American. The troops are trying to stay alive and following the orders of a maniac war criminal. Pat Tillman was a hero just for enlisting when he did. He died for America. He was murdered by the same people who support the anti-American liars who are running this country. There is a man out there who (if he hasn''t been murdered to further cover up the murder of Pat Tillman) shot Pat Tillman in the head three times at close range. I hope he is dead, and if not, I hope he is tortured by his guilt forever.

It is too bad this happen to Mr. Tillman and it is even worse because of the cover-up. I wonder though, if he wasn''t a known public figure if anyone would of everlooked deeper into this? Each death should be investigated and looked into regarding our soldiers and explained to the family and the American people! My condolences to Tillman''s family!

The coverup of Pat Tillman''s death is a microcosm of what the Bush administration has been doing to this coutry for seven years now... LIES... LIES ...LIES. They lied to congress and the public to get us into Iraq. They''ve lied their way through Iraq. And, they''ll keep lying till next January. I cannot comprehend why half of this country still hasn''t figured it out. May he rest in peace.

I forgot to include the "Why?" The answer is simple. Pat Tillman learned that we had no reason to be in Iraq. None. He gave up his NFL career and enlisted out of patriotism. He was an icon for this war criminal government before he knew it for what it is. If he was allowed to speak against it, people would believe him. So they murdered him to shut him up.

Pat Tillman was murdered by an American, on purpose, up close. So close it left powder burns on his uniform, which is why his uniform was burned. This is the truth.

I think we are in agreement but our troops are trying to do what they were trained o do, be soldiers. I am 100% disabled from nam, my oldest son was hurt on duty with the rangers and is 100% disabled, my youngest daughter just returned from Iraq. She was assigned to train their police, she said they didn''t want us there and would not listen so they could not train them. My youngest son is getting ready to enlist for army rangers against my advice and the advice of his brother.

Ranger- I lost my brother in "Nam. I deplore the manner and fashion in which the VA is/has been treating our Vets. We are on the same page. (And no, I am not that stupid "to serve" and fight a Zionist war for the People''s Republic of Halliburton.) I encourage ALL of our troops to split to Canada until Bush regime change is complete. There is NO valor in dying over WMD lies.

I disagree with you. I support our troops 100%. I have never supported the war in Iraq. Have you served your country ? I take offense at anyone who would make disparaging remarks against our soldiers. When we enter th military we take an oath to obey all orders. This oath is taken freely so that we can support our country. I have always supported my country and rarely doubted my govt until now. The bush administration has lost all credibility. We must depend on our elected officials to take necessary action or the only alternative i see to that is a revolution. I can only hope we do not have to reach that crossroads.

ranger- Anybody who "serves" (kills innocent women and children) over bogus WMD lies in Iraq is NOT a partriot, but a coward killer.

These America hating reporters on CBS will say anything
to make our military look bad . First , this story of Pat Tillman''''s unfortunate death is old news .
I think the reason CBS is dragging this up is that the war in Iraq is going very well , as is the conflict in
Afganistan - so CBS and Katie Couric have to find something negative to report . Shame on these people who make a living by insulting America and our outstanding military !

Uh...Pat Tillman dieing in combat.....tragic. Our government covering up the details of the event and using his popularity and sacrifice as a recruitment stunt.....bordering on criminal, if it isn''t already. CBS had nothing to do with this F-A-C-T. Because his mother is looking for answers she rightly deserves, there''s no reason to demonize CBS for trying to help it along. There were many steps along the way that did not follow procedure, protocol, whatever you want to call it, with regard to his death and the handling of it afterwards. I tend to doubt that these occurances were accidental.

I agree with your comment however i believe in giving credit where credit is due. If not for the actions of Nixon i would not be here today, regardless of what else he might have done, he literally saved my life and the lives of many other soldiers.

It is too bad we couldn''t lose you and more like you in the war. But you wouldn''t have the guts to sign up and go fight.
