What really happened is this news article - the News Media is going to keep bringing up his death until we CutNRun from Afghanistan too. Then the Liberals will have created two failed states to justify their sick hypocritical politics.

No you pathetic nazi.. the PROBLEM is listed on line if you care to do a little search. This piece of human trash that you and a very few others call a President LIED to WE the PEOPLE. He started a War over OIL, LIED to us 935 times about it and took our troops AWAY from the fight to capture those who attacked us. It''s the biggest BLUNDER in Military History. When you LIE to people like that, when you have FAILED so badly as a leader that only 25% of your people follow you... NO "Liberal''s" are to blame...as anyone else is to blame. Now put away the Swastika and get involved in picking a Leader who will UNITE us instead of dividing us!! Sieg Heil Bush

He saw that the war was a fraud...was coming out against the Regime and they iced him...they wanted their poster boy for the war to die a hero rather than face the consequences themselves of his public revelations--they could still get some mileage out of his death.

It was Karen Stlkwood. Now Pat Tillman. They don''t want him to tell the truth so they kilt him. He knew it is over oil and lies. It would be the right thing to tell the family the truth so they can have that peace of mind..It was JFK, his brother,King,Silkwood Tillman. We will never know the truth.

the advantage to the fovernment of a coverup would be to conceal the fact that they had him killed, or at least to try to cover their tracks when thy bungled the report of his death from the start.

What would be the advantage to the US Govt by ''covering up'' the cause of Mr. Tillman''s death? I don''t understand.

You are right about the John Doe next door never being in the news and getting the media attention. I do support his mom''s efforts to try and find out what happened to Pat. For others of us that have the same situation and questions about the lies told to us by the military about how our loved one was killed. We will never be able to receive answers or receive the help of Senators to find those answers to our questions about the lies and why they covered it up.

Neo267...
how on earth do liberals have anything to do with iraq being a failed state?
what planet do you live on ( planet Fox Comedy Channel, right? )
"sick hypocritical politics"....are you serious?
liberals, progressives, and those on the left are anti-war for very good reasons.
educate yourself ( i know it''s difficult ), be informed before you make such prejudiced remarks, it makes you look undereducated, sorely misinformed, and quite bigoted.

Remember the case in Oklahoma where the lady reported violations at the nuclear plant where she worked ? She sat up a meetingm with a reporter and was going to give him proof of her claims. She had the proof when she left her house and had a mysterious accident where she was killed. The evidence was not with her and was never found. They made a movie about her but never investigated what happened to her. Another govt coverup ? I think it is quite possible and even likely. But we will never know. I think her name was Karen Silkwood.

I don''t use it enough myself, but I recommend AnonyMouse.org if you get scared sometimes. Oh, and the other story, about the man released after 27 years in jail for a sadistic prosecutor when he did nothing wrong at all, just another John Doe, gives me a smidge of hope that truth does sometimes come out eventually, for everyone. I want to hear about every lie, regarding every servicemember, ever used for whatever filthy reason used by anyone, no matter how many times it takes for the story to be told before we finally hear the complete truth. I hope that the woman who said lies were told about the death of her son keeps after it forever, until the truth is discovered. Never give up. Ever.

Yes. Perhaps the saddest thing about the last 8 years is that ''paranoid'' sounds about right, by now.

I hardly think our government officially sanctions actions like those I suggested, but there are powerful elements WITHIN the government who would, out of misplaced patriotism, have NO problem with such actions.

I''ll ''look out'', but I''m pretty sure we''re too far down on their food chain to warrant attention, or action. In a way, that''s our advantage. By posting here, and getting a potential national or international audience, we get to use their own egotism against them.

Do i sound paranoid ? Probably, but i have been there and seen how the govt works. As long as i remain looking paranoid to you then i feel safe, at least somewhat.

Beware. If you come to close to the truth and the govt deems you a threat something will also happen to you.

notmyname1 said: "This is only still making news because Pat Tillman gave up a multi-million dollar contract to play football to join the military. The John Doe next door who had this happen to him would never be in the news this long."

That''s very true.

Is it possible that the guys who killed him knew that? Knew that he would make a much better symbol of American heroism DEAD than he did alive?

I don''t know the answers to these questions, but I DO know this:

in the wake of 9-11, while most of us were shocked and consumed by grief and anger, SOMEONE had the presence of mind to recognize an OPPORTUNITY, to USE this tragedy to turn America in another direction. That SOMEONE tried to follow up 9-11 with a set of Anthrax-laden letters, to prominent ''liberal'' figures like Tom Daschle and Dan Rather, that he/she attempted to attribute to Al-Qaida, and ended up killing a score or more of American Postal Workers.

Pat Tillman was an American hero. But he was only a USEFUL hero if he was dead, in the line of duty.

I support Mrs. Tillman''s efforts to find the TRUTH. There''s been too little of THAT, esp. regarding our MidEast engagements, in the last 6 years.

ranger1948, My fault for not being clear, you''re right. As an officer serving in Afghanistan, Pat Tillman would have been very aware that the fight there was being subverted by our invasion of Iraq. There''s no telling what brought him around to being against the war, but there''s no doubt that he did come to the realization that our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan were based on false information coming from the White House. I''m not going to pretend that I know what he was thinking, but it is public knowledge that he no longer believed in the mission though he would of course continue to follow orders without question. "They" simply could not have him come home and join those great Americans who are veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan yet are very vocal that what we are doing there now is very wrong. No, I''m not clear on what he knew, but he knew it was all based on lies.
