forthepeopl1,
Your boycott: Work, idea, will only work if you are the right color. Lincoln freed them, and they have not worked since.

In every war, young men get killed by friendly and unfriendly fire. Stop milking the story! Whatever happened to the other mother who the media loved, until they didn''t love her anymore? The one that camped outside Bush''s ranch?

Tillman was "sacrificed" by the government in order to rally support for the war. The whole thing was staged so young American men would enlist to avenge what "the enemy" had done to our football hero.

It is interesting to read how
some "Americans" are ok with
the government covering up
the cause of death for this
soldier.

Is it because right wing talk
radio is pushing that line
of propaganda?

Or do they actually feel that way?

Katie Courics "talents" would be better used in a tabloid program such as Entertainment Tonight or Inside Edition. Her smiles while asking serious questions is unsettling and distracting, i.e.; while asking Pat Tillman''s mother how she reacted to the information that her son was killed by "...one of his brothers...", there was that smile. Very unprofessional and self absorbed.

Changing the version of story is not going to change anything for Pat Tillman. Most military persons want the same thing th happen in the event of their death, they want their family to be notified and they want their family to accept the news. Extensive grieving will purpetuate the bitterness, and most don''t want something like that. There are two things we can do for everything we face - accept it to control it. We always try to control what we can''t or won''t accept. Everyone looks for the most acceptable way to grieve. Giving the Tillman family support and love will be the best medicine for the loss they suffered. Supporting them requires we accept the pain and the loss as our own. Some will deny we can feel what they feel, but at some point, they have to let it go when they see that the pain of keeping something is greater than the pain of letting go.

False accounts, at least one falsified document, and evidence suggesting he was shot at relatively close range after yelling out his identity. Nobody can be blamed for wondering if he was murdered.

Another strange case is that of Marine recruit Jason Tharp, the teenager who wanted out of the military, then drowned during "training." Forced to tread water, Jason was surrounded by Marine swim instructors as he went under possibly six times, screamed repeatedly to be let out of the pool, finally succumbed to exhaustion and coughed, gagged or vomitted before bobbing to the surface unresponsive. Jason, however, was poor - enlisted to help his parents with expenses for art school - and only one media outlet gave the bloodcurdling details of how he died: http://wistv.com/global/story.asp?s=3529920&ClientType=Printable

At issue in both cases is MSM/government manipulation of a supposedly free press, and current revelations of Pentagon meddling suggest a disturbing trend. After all, democracy depends on an informed electorate.

GET OVER IT. He went of his own will, he died, thousands of people die in war and it''s not fair! This is something that he felt in his heart he needed to do, and in one of his last interviews, he said he did not want to die, but if he did die, he would die doing something he believed in. You are making a mockery of his death and he would be ashamed of the way you are acting and attacking something he believed in.

we the people can STOP all in CONGRESS and the WHITEHOUSE with something so easy, and we would not have to fire a shot at anyone to have this REVOLUTION, THATS RIGHT A REVOLUTION IS WHAT IS NEEDED TO STOP THEM ALL IN THEIR TRACKS.

HOW. WE THE PEOPLE DONT WORK OR DO ANYTHING FOR A FEW WEEKS, SEE HOW FAST THEY START DOING SOMETHING FOR AMERICANS, WHEN NO MONEY IS GOING ONTO THE GOVERNEMNT FOR A FEW WEEKS, SEE NO FOOD BEING DRIVEN TO STORES, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE AS AMERICANS CAN TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK.. SO AMERICANS BETTER WAKE UP AND LETS START A COMPLETE BOY-COTT OF WORK..THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF ALL DO IT.

Thats all these right wing-nuts have is hate and smear. What else can they run on the economy, the detour from getting bin Laden (Iraq), health care, gas prices, the credit crunch/ housing, the environment, ethics, unity, tax reform, the national infrastructure, reform...?

The only other ploy they have is the old, "Lib-ruls are gonna raise your taxes!" And they are right (for once) if you are making over $250,000 a year. All you have to do is look at how much the gap has grown between the richest 10% and the working class over the last 8-years.

Iraq backs off allegations that Iran is behind violence

By Leila Fadel and Shashank Bengali | McClatchy Newspapers

Sunday, May 4, 2008

BAGHDAD %u2014 The Iraqi Government seemed to distance itself from U.S. accusations towards Iran Sunday saying it would not be forced into conflict with its Shiite neighbor. And Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki ordered the formation of a committee to look into foreign intervention in Iraq.

As the government appeared to back down from its hardening stance against Iran, four marines were killed in Anbar in the deadliest attack in the Sunni province in months.

The government spokesman, Ali al Dabbagh, told reporters Sunday that a committee was formed to find "tangible information" about foreign intervention, specifically Iran''s role in Iraq rather than "information based on speculation."

"We don''t want to be pushed into any conflict with any neighboring countries, especially Iran. What happened before is enough. We paid a lot," Dabbagh said, referring to the eight years war between the two nations in which an estimated 1 million people died.

While the Iraqi government has long said they would not be used for a proxy war between the U.S. and Iran at odds over Iran''s nuclear aspirations, the statement came as the Iraqi government had taken tough stances towards Iran in the past week. This included sending a delegation last week to Iran to urge them to stop the flow of weapons and to refrain from funding Shiite militias battling Iraqi Security Forces.

In WWII 40% of American casualties were friendly fire. There were no investigations, it is an accepted fact of war. How about we just accept this was friendly fire...something that happens to all sides in all wars throughout history.

Did the government cover them up back then?

I''m asking ''cause I wasn''t alive back then.

This smells so much as what Hitler did to General Rommel....kill them and then use the corpse to cover THE BIG LIE. The Fascist mentality never changes whether it be a German or a corrupt so called American the Universal deceit continues by the Powers-that-be. Vote the bums out and become America the Beautiful again not this militarized land ruled by Industrialists and Right wing nutjobs.
