Oh I missed your second little jab - you''re the one who should learn to read I quote my previous post (emphasis added)"...with regard to the JUST war in Afghanistan and that the UNJST war in Iraq had never started." - Reply to this comment
- Posted by mbcsmith - And I''m pointing out that 1) you''re a sick individual for injecting politics into a story about heroes and 2) liberals are just as proud of heroes as you lot are, so stick that in your right wing pipe and go smoke it somewhere you''d be useful - like the NW frontier of Pakistan.

- Defense Secretary Robert Gates says that the air force is not doing enough in the ''war'' effort.
this is supporting the troops,
this is the same way you republicons support the wounded vets at walter reed, all talk , no help;
you only support bush, you could care less about the troops
what do you think the guys in the air force in iraq feel like right now?
Have you heard any republicons calling for ''gate''s'' head? he should be fired for this, hypocrits,
you don''t support the troops you are a liar
you support the criminal bush - Reply to this comment

Not denigrating the heroic story at all. Just like a LIB to spin facts. You apparently have lost the ability to read the King''s english. I''m Denigrating the LIBS on here (joyous88).
Afghnistan an unjust war? You''re lost. - Reply to this comment
- YOU PEOPLE JUST CAN''T SEE THE FOREST FOR THE TREES. WE HAVE GOOD MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING THIS WAR AND YOU DON''T SEEM TO CARE. EVERY NEGATIVE THING THAT IS SAID IS JUST GIVES THE PEOPLE WE ARE FIGHTING MORE RESOLVE. TO JUST HANG IN THERE AND THE LIBERALS IN THIS COUNTRY WILL GET THE WAR STOPPED. THEN THEY CAN KILL, MAIM, ANYONE AND EVERYONE THAT THEY CAN..
thats right bash any one that does not believe your propaganda,
OK smart guy,
the administration mouthpiece , Gates, the sec. himself.
just stated that the air force men and women , US troops, are not doing enough to fight the war,
are you going to go after him?? hypocrit.

- The story on 60 mins. was not about politics, liberals or conservatives. It was about bravery, loyalty, honor, and distinction. These men and all of the men and women serving in both theaters are our sons and daughters, brothers ande sisters risking their lives in service for our country. There is no higher calling. It doesn''t matter if you are for the wars or not, these men and women deserve our respect, prayers, and gratitude. I am not a flag waver or a flag wearer. I am just an grateful American. Thank-you for your service to our country, thank-you one and all.

- joyous88....I think you miss the point here. This was a story about bravery and honor. There is nothing here of a political nature. This happened in Afghanistan not Iraq. These men are fighting there to keep the Taliban from getting their hands on nukes and that is a clear and present danger. I think most of us protest the war in Iraq but this is a totally different situation. Your post was insulting to our troops and you should apologize to them. They are there to protect your right to say whatever you please and the least you could is show a little respect.

- mbcsmith.....Your comment is way off base. You make the assumption that anyone who does not fall in line with your politics is a "lib". I do not conseder myself either liberal or conservative, rather a little of both. But I will tell you this. I am way past my prime, (an old man) and as I watched that story unfold last night I wept like a baby. The honor and bravery of these men touched my heart and I felt a pride rise up inside that I haven''t felt for a long time. For you to say that I want to see our troops fail and that I cheer for their failure is an insult of epic porportions. I love these men and women that give all of themselves for our country. So do lots of others who disagree with you politically. So be a little more respectful and remember that we are all Americans.

- LIBS just hate stories of bravery and heroism from our troops. They have their political fortunes tied to U.S. military failure. Sad really, that LIB Americans can cheer for U.S. failure.

mbcsmith - how dare you denigrate a heroic story such as this with your mindless hatred of liberals. As a proud liberal myself I give all these men respect and honor for holding the fight for two days as outnumbered as they were. They are indeed true heroes. I believe any liberal would be just as proud as I of these men. I just wish there were a lot more stories such as this with regard to the just war in Afghanistan and that the unjust war in Iraq had never started. - Reply to this comment

- I am an Army Brat..son of retired 30 yr, Army SGM, who fought two tours in Nam. I know the feeling of not having my dad around...he was a proud solider and is a proud vet!!
There was a song back, in the 60''s. "The Green Berets"
There''s a verse in the song..which said.
"He''s our man... America''s best". That describes the heroes in this story!! Plus the rest, of the men and women in our military. Their our best!! - Reply to this comment

WHERE EVER YOU ARE FROM, YOU HAVE MADE A VERY GOOD STATEMENT BELOW. IF ONLY WE COULD GET THE PEOPLE HERE IN AMERICA TO REALLY TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN SOMETHING, THEN THEY WOULD BE BETTER OFF. I THINK THAT WE HAVE MORE PEOPLE HERE THAT ARE FOR THIS WAR THAN WE THINK. THEY ARE JUST NOT VOCAL LIKE THE CRY-BABIES IN THIS COUNTRY. THE ULTRA LIBERALS HAVE ALWAYS CRIED ABOUT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.
It is not about politics here, but a bunch of men who went out with orders, which they obeyed. It doesn''''t matter who your president is, because it was the people who voted for him and apparently the American will still vote for the same system for a 1000 more years. So don''''t blame it on your president that these good men have died, blame it on yourselves and be man enough to take it up against the Elites. You scream neo-con''''s or neo-libs or whatever you are against, but if the people are still dumb enough to vote on the basis of race, religion or ***, (neo or not) then the people of America are dumber then the Europeans who let a "revised" European Constitution pass under a beautiful name "the Lisbon Treaty".

- Unfortunate Ms.Logan once again ruined a segment on 60 minutes. She could have not been more distant to the subjects of the story. It didn''t matter that the segment might or might not have been important, it was just another case studie of how journalist can effect an interview positive or negative. Her questions and comments are always condecending.
When does 60minutes realize that she isn''t up to the standard, 60minutes takes pride to uphold. - Reply to this comment
