Got to love CBS. The pictures are from the Afghan Natioanal Army not the Iraqi National Army. Who did they get to do the story Dan Rather?

The American public is so stupid.
That they would swallow the Bu$h propaganda for so long is truly stunning.
This administration is even more corrupt than the Iraqi government.
Worst president ever.
Sad.

I believe that, (fedupwithit1) is right. An American Democracy is not going to work in that part of the world, unless we put an American flag in the ground ,and take it over as the 51st state.I won''t move my family over there even if it becomes like the Virgin Islands. Those extremist will never quit until all of us(AMERICANS)are dead,or under shiri law.

Hay, the rich in Iraq get richer while the poor stand in gas lines. Sounds just like the good old USA. I see that Bush has worked hard to setup a USA form of government in Iraq.

Corruption is inevitable as long as man is in charge of anything.I remember hearing about all those Billions that disappeared when they first started looking for Saddam.I never did hear anything after that though,so where is that money? They said one of Saddam''s sons(which one I can''t remember)stole 3 dump trucks full of cash from one of the places Saddam stashed his 9 billion. That one got killed with the other brother in that bombing that the body guard organized.Where is that money? The 2 body guards got the rewards 15 million.Three dump trucks full of cash is a lot more than 15 million.I believe many people have gotten wealthy over this war!

After many decades of also fighting this same war at home in the US by way of the war on illegal drugs, it would be safer, fast and much cheaper to end this war by legalizing the drugs. The worst resistance would come from the drug cartels and the terrorist networks in the Middle-East. Without the illegal drug industry funding the terrorists, this global war on terror would soon end. At the same time for just a few more years (not decades) the United States will still have to continue clearing up the mess by the once illegal drugs, the same way as usual; with tax-payer funded drug rehabs, including heroine or methadone babies and their medical costs etc. Our society needs to get more faith in itself, because in the Middle-East where it is much easier to get heroin than it is to get clean drinking water, they are not a society of drug addicts.

This would also cut off the funded government corruption in the Middle East, Mexico and the United States. In time this will also solve many other problems in our economy especially the cost and availability of health care. The repercussions this would help to create for a few years (not decades) is one of the best examples of why our forefathers emphasized so strongly on the necessity of separation between the church and state.

If CBS had any (stones) they would have ran this on 60 Minutes prior to Ambassador Crockers testimony to Congress. In other words, take the gorilla out of the corner and put him on the table in front of Crocker and the American people.

Coorperate Media Watch:

Which story gets no air time over the next several days:

A: Obamas (bitter about their economic circumstances) speech.

B: Hilarys (elitist and divisive) accusations.

C: Iraqs current state of corruption.

I really don''t think these people know how to Govern themselves.I mean they were under the iron fist of Saddam for nearly 50 years.Their military, and police desert at a drop of a hat, they steal money that is supposed to help them.If we just drop out of that country some one from Iran,or Syria worse than Saddam ever thought about being, would take over. Then it would be all for nothing, just like our government did to the Vietnamese. We deserted them, and let the commies win.

Read The Great Deluge by Douglas Brinkley if you want to understand the colossal failure of the people of NOLA and the Gulf Coast. It should be required reading for anyone considering voting for more of the same.

Gee, I must have been sleepwalking the past 5 years. I thought we had a Conservative Republican administration that was veto proof running things? This obviously means that Democrats are the ones *** up everything GW does because he''''s infallible. LOL. This deserves a WOW back at yourself.

I couldn''t agree more, with both posts.

Wow...I had to wonder if I was reading about Iraq or New Orleans! LOL It would appear that Iraq is no differnt from many US cities run by democrats. A good number are abysmal failures.

Make no mistake about it - it was HAND PICKED neo cons that went into Iraq and "built" the government in their ideal image.

It''s no surprise that the corruption runs rampant in their neo con inspired government, in much the same way that it runs through our neo con hijacked government.

"The point that must be clear is that that the American and the Iraqi funds are now going to the militias. And both Iraqis and the Americans are being killed with that. And this is the big problem," Radhi told Kroft.
The situation got so bad, Radhi says his investigators could not even enter certain government buildings.
---------------------------------------
Did you call FBI to enter the building ?
Counting the number of dead over the past 5 years (4000 US and over 35,000 Iraqi) how does Saddam compare now ? Corruption is like cancer. It can only be treated by amputating the infested parts. Corruption can only be prevented through growing conscious responsible citizens at school. Take a look at Switzerland and Denmark where there is the least corruption because most people grew up satisfied with their life without getting greedy.
