"Saddam''s goal ... is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq''s weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed." -- Madeline Albright, 1998

"(Saddam) will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and some day, some way, I am certain he will use that arsenal again, as he has 10 times since 1983" -- National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, Feb 18, 1998

"Iraq made commitments after the Gulf War to completely dismantle all weapons of mass destruction, and unfortunately, Iraq has not lived up to its agreement." -- Barbara Boxer, November 8, 2002

Joe Biden August 4, 2002 "[H]e does have the capacity, as all terrorist-related operations do, of smuggling stuff into the United States and doing something terrible. That is true. But there''''s been no connection, hard connection made yet between he and al-Qaida or his willingness or effort to do that thus far. Doesn''''t mean he won''''t. This is a bad guy."

Chuck Schumer October 10, 2002
"It is Hussein''''s vigorous pursuit of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, and his present and future potential support for terrorist acts and organizations that make him a danger to the people of the united states."
Democrat Senator John Edwards February 6, 2003
"The question is whether we''''re going to allow this man who''''s been developing weapons of mass destruction continue to develop weapons of mass destruction, get nuclear capability and get to the place where -- if we''''re going to stop him if he invades a country around him -- it''''ll cost millions of lives as opposed to thousands of lives."

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq''s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." -- From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998

Nancy Pelosi December 16, 1998 "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology, which is a threat to countries in the region, and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."

Bill Clinton February 17, 1998 "If Saddam rejects peace, and we have to use force, our purpose is clear: We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq''''s weapons of mass destruction program."

Bill Clinton February 17, 1998
"We have to defend our future from these predators of the 21st Century.... They will be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen. There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein."

Yes Minuteman... post them - Clinton, Gore, Pelosi - ALL of them DURING CLINTON''s Presidency said the EXACT SAME things in reference to Saddam''s WMD''s - verbatim... post them so these liberals can see. In fact, Clinton as ALL but admitted that HE would have gone into Iraq post 9/11....

...I figure, Iraq will have been worth the effort if for no other reason than to put the Middle East on notice that if they don''t get their sh*t together... the next time we end up with terrorists killing a few thousand of our citizens (or more), we will tear sh*t up....

We''ll never know what might have happened had we left Saddam & Sons in power - maybe nothing... maybe some nasty stuff down the road...

History will judge the decision to go into Iraq. Granted, liberals desperately want Iraq to ALWAYS be a disaster.... because what liberals fear MOST is another Ronald Reagan situation.... where despite their every traitorous effort to stab Reagan in the back, demoralize America, & aid the Soviet Union during the cold war - liberals now have to accept that Reagan - a Republican - won the cold war. Liberals are terrified that they may have yet another Republican win the war on terror - and so, in much the same fashion - liberals are again lending their support to the enemy in order to help prevent that terrifying outcome... You see, just as Hillary was willing to bring down her OWN party because she so begrudged Barack the victory - so are Liberals willing to harm America because they so begrudge any Republican victory...

MCVet .....Have you gone completely insane, I know partially, but now completely ?.....the troops were using in violation of our constitution ? are you joking, the whole elected Congress of the United States voted to authorize the invasion, not only that, but Saddam had made surrender agreements from the 1st gulf war, which he did not abide by his agreements, therefore authorizing a "re-invasion" not invasion, RE-invasion, round two, since he didn''t get the message on round 1....you would have thought the road to Basra, would have given him the message to abide by your surrender agreements or be destroyed....its that simple....what is your weird obsession with the caps lock key...does every other word have to be in caps ?

Bush will be out of office shortly and the new McCain Presidency will be in office giving a new direction....so be happy
