It is unfortunate, but with corporations now trying to control and permeate the market with patented genetically modified seeds, they are quickly destroying the original varieties that we have always enjoyed. Furthermore, they have began to attack farming throughout the world in a race to control everything we grow and eat. And of course, the Food and Drug Administration is controlled by these folks. Even Bush has played a roll in trying to force countries into accepting these genetically modified foods and seeds, claiming that governments standing in the way are actually causing hunger. Farmers have had to fight Monsanto because their seed has genetically crossed with other seeds and Monsanto claims the patent and control of the product, thus accusing farmers of stealing.
