- American is a "right-of-center" country despite a corrupt liberal MSM wolfpack press.
John McCain is a moderate GOP conservative, everyone knows that.
He should be our next president, especially when you look at the ultra-liberal candiates running on the Dem side.

Then Sen. McCain should be running as an Independent! Republicans from States who will always Vote Republican no matter how outrageous they get have nothing to worry about, but Republicans from States where Americans actually think, actually use their brains and not just Vote Republican like programmed robots are in serious trouble. Take the Iraq escapade for example, this is the first time in American History I can recall an American administration, especially a Republican administration, undertaking a task like an Iraq war with complete and total disregard for the cost involved, mortgaging away America''s future like one on those sub prime variable rate mortgage scams, also ignoring the 9 trillion national debt which grows daily in the process! Money matters, cost matters, deficits matter, this is not a video game, this is real life, real money. - Reply to this comment
- I listened to the interview 60 Minutes had with John "the Great Pretender" McCain and found that the man''s mind was on another planet!
For one, he says in the interview, that waterboarding IS torture, which is exactly what the Great Emperor Bush II and all faithful neocon Fascist Nazis DON''T want to hear! However, he is also on record for SUPPORTING the Great Emperor''s "aggresive interrogation techniques", which is the politically correct term for TORTURE!
Then he says he has NEVER EVER given favors for lobbyists or their clients. Then what was all that stink about him and a lobbyist a few weeks back and which, conveniently, 60 minutes never touched on!
From what I remember, 60 minutes didn''t touch on the war either. If I had been a reporter taking my job seriously, I would have brought up his comment about staying in Iraq 100 years, which, given the staggering cost the war has cost us now, should bankrupt the entire planet in 50 years time!
The interview did touch on McCain''s "hair trigger" temper. I don''t care how much experience the old man has, if there is a chance he take a joke the wrong way or get easily offended at a state dinner, you don''t want this idiot answering a call at 3 AM and ticking off some head of state or military general.
We''ve already got an idiot in the Oval Office that is doing just that!
SIG HEIL, BUSH!!!!
sig heil, McCain???? - Reply to this comment

- Rep. Wexler Responds To Mukasey%u2019s Refusal To Enforce Contempt Charges
By: Nicole Belle
Two weeks ago, the House took a bold step demanding accountability for the Bush/Cheney Administration by holding former White House Council Harriet Miers and White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten in Contempt of Congress for blatantly ignoring congressional subpoenas for over 8 months.
Though it was not a surprise, Attorney General Michael Mukasey, wrote a letter to the House of Representatives stating that he refuses to call a Grand Jury to enforce those contempt citations.
The Attorney General%u2019s letter, effectively claiming that members of the executive branch are immune from congressional subpoenas, calls for quick action. [..]
The House of Representatives must re-establish its legitimate rights as a co-equal branch of government. Congress cannot allow its power to be summarily ignored and justice delayed.

This is not an issue between Democrats and Republicans. As members of Congress, we have an absolute duty to enforce the checks and balances prescribed by our Constitution.
We have ceded too much for too long, enabling George W. Bush to assume a unitary imperial Presidency. It is long past time to secure accountability for those who have, by all appearances, committed significant breaches of our laws and trust.
Mukasey%u2019s claims are simply the latest in a long line of outlandish legal arguments ranging from the idea that they can selectively cherry-pick from torture laws to the concept that the Vice President is no longer part of the Executive Branch (except, of course, when he needs to claim Executive Privilege).

- If rumor is true and happen, McCxin:
1. is about 80 yrs old with cancer,
2. will choose Bush brother to be Vice president,
3. who will take his president, as 1, if something is going wrong?
We will screw again. - Reply to this comment
- McSame proposes Tax Cuts for the wealthy, cuts in spending and a balanced Budget. The Tax Cuts for the rich NEVER trickle down to us. The spending is cut ONLY for people in the US, everyone else gets what they want and need and the Balanced Budget is only in the minds of the poor fools who still believe it. Vote for McSame for NO CHANGE!

- YOU GOTTO LOVE IT:
SIDNEY SAY''S, ON IRAQ, " I DISAGREE WITH WHAT THE MAJORITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT".
I THINK THE FUNDAMENTALS OF OUR ECONOMY ARE STILL THERE. HMMMM, WHERE DID THEY GO?
I GET ANGRY WHEN THINGS GO WRONG.
CLOSE YOUR EYES FOLKS AND LISTEN TO THESE COMMENTS. SOUNDS LIKE DUBYA, AT A PRESS CONFERENCE.
A VOTE FOR McCAIN IS FOUR MORE YEARS OF DUBYA, "ALL OVER AGAIN." ( I GIVE YOGI CREDIT FOR THAT LINE) - Reply to this comment
- John Macain votes in favor of torture because deep inside he is no different than the guys who tortured him in vietnam, they stand for the same exact values. Any veteran that doesn''t denounce this scum bag stands exactly for the same things, any flier out there who doesn''t say anything, slaps on the face of those who were beaten in prisons in vietnam, because you stand for exactly the same things. I wonder how many are going to come forward and denounce this sold out trash the same way they came out against war decorated hero John Kerry.

- Apparently the GOP can''t do math. People are turning out in huge numbers for Obama (4 to 1 against McCain)
The GOP is over, the US knows our elections are hacked and George Bush was not elected in Ohio which means he is not a legitimate president, he is a dictator.
Two people went to prison in Ohio for hacking the election which put George Bush in the White House. You can''t have your cake and eat it too. Bush Cheney should immediately be placed in jail and elections held now. - Reply to this comment
- Just what we need - Bush on Geritol. He''ll be a drooling dummy by the end of his first term just like Ronnie Raygun.

- McCain looks ahead - then has to look around for his dentures, his depends, his geritol and his glasses.
This man is TOO OLD for President! With Old Ideas! - Reply to this comment
- Is this while he''s not nodding, or seeing the doctor about his active cancer? Let''s hope he finds a running mate who is suitable to America, and not another Bush. America cannot survive as a nation through another Bush.

- McCain has a quite noticeable asymmetrical bulge on the left side of his face, even affecting his left eye''s size. It could be a tumor, could be a healed broken jaw, or it could be that weird one sidedness we see with chronic prevaricators.
Because he is a politician, I am inclined to think the latter, especially as he is a Republican politician. - Reply to this comment
- If McCain thinks he can lower taxes and stay in Iraq, he''s delusional. Grass roots support means something. Ron Paul gets more money from active military than all other candidates....wonder why that is. Ask the Viet Nam vets RP''s helped.

- Wow! How much did the Republican Party pay for that? Any softer on the tough straight talker, and you''d have to give him a marshmallow to sit on...Where''s that fabled liberal media that we''ve heard so much about? No question that the surge worked????? No pictures of John McCain endangering the troops so he could walk through Baghdad? No Tim Russert style questions regarding McCains embrace of the bigot Hagee? This interview tells more about how far the standards at CBS have fallen than about candidate McCain. Sad.
