- Steve Croft, you''ve just displayed the kind of media bias that inspired the Saturday Night Live debate skits of the past two weeks. You showed Hillary the photo of Obama in traditional African garb that recently surfaced, just as Tim Russert did in the Ohio debate, and asked her, TWICE, if she indeed believed Obama was a Muslim. What''s the implication there, Steve? Are you accusing Hillary of spreading the rumors and circulating the photo? Why not show the Hillary Clinton nutcracker available on eBay, or any of the multiple obscene and misogynistic T-shirts making the rounds, and ask Obama for his take on them? Tell me, Steve, why the unbalanced treatment? And, as if the photo incident wasn''t enough, you proceed to ask Hillary if she should win the Ohio and Texas primaries by a close margin, would she consider dropping out. I mean, Steve, why didn''t you just pull out the crown, place it on Obama''s head and have done with it?!!!

- I am so proud of Barack Obama. I grew up in the 60''s when we all thought that we could change the world. Along the way, our hope was diminished by political leaders who disappointed us, and left us feeling disillusioned. Many of us just gave up, but now I see all the young people out in support of Barack and it reminds me of my youth and how excited I was about the possibility of tommorrow. It warms my heart to hear that college students from Idaho, Kansas and some of the other states have flown out to Ohio on their own to campaign for Senator Obama. That is what this country needs. An active citizenry. Our country was set up to be run by We the People. The problem is that many people have dropped out of politics. Senator Obama is bringing many people back into the fold, as well as inspiring young and old alike. I am so glad to be an American where a man who was raised by a single mom can one day aspire to be President of the United States. Thank you Senator Obama from the bottom of my heart. You have once again made me believe in that my country can achieve great things and we will do it together.

- Watching 60 minutes tonight has help me crystalize the ire I have had in this primary season since the South Carolina primary. I was furious when I saw Barak Obama once again take what he clearly knew to be unrelated to the Clintons and atributed it to "THIS" campaign. When he referred to the gentleman who was worried about voting for him because he had heard he had been sworn in on something other than the Bible. The Clintons could not have known before he was a senator that the day was going to come that he was going to be a rival for president. I heard that rumor here in Missouri the year he took office. I''m sure it was because of his middle name. What started the ire in the South Carolina Campaign is that the Obama Campaign started their tactic of attacking the Clintons for things they knew full well they had not done. To accuse Bill Clinton of racism was the crulest cut of all with all he had done all of his life for his friends of color who called him the first black president in honor of it. For shame Barak.

- "The voters need to realize that H.R. Clinton will do anything to get elected. This video clearly shows Bill Clinton telling the voting public that they need to vote for the person that supports hope and reject the candidate that uses fear tactics."
Well, people do need to get out and vote for a competent candidate. And frankly I''m not voting for someone whose every decision has to be put up on a teleprompter by Mrs. Clinton. I''ll just vote for her competence and be done with it.

- I found it disturbing to see the man from southern Ohio in tears as he described trying to find a new job and secure healthcare for him and his MS-ridden wife... then see him fixating on rumor of Obama being Muslim so he might not vote for him. Are you kidding me? So if a man isn''''t Christian that supercedes more important things like jobs and healthcare? And by the way, he is Christian but isn''''t a candidates strength of character and plan of action a bit more important? It''''s just sad...

The media allows Bush to scare Americans for the past 7 years; liberals whine and rightfully call BS on the media...then, the same media turns around, and builds Obama up, including positive comments from Republicans (diehard republicans who hate liberals, as much as 4 months ago) like Newt Gingrich and Peggy Noonan, and suddenly the liberals are sucking up the media''s *** like crazy.
So-called "progressives" who are standing by letting one of their own (Clinton) be denigrated by another one of their own, are disgusting, sniveling cowards and I''ll be voting for McCain if Obama wins the General.
Oh, and just wait for names like Alexi Giannoulias surface if Obama wins the dem primary; they''re just dying to take Obama on.
Dumb dumb dems. - Reply to this comment

"whoisafraud" One hint..his middle name''s Hussein. Look at that from the standpoint of Republicans and Independents..Obama will never win the General election. Period.
Really though, you mention "fraud", and Hillary doing anything to win the Presidency; do you consider dividing by race and inciting racial issues "anything"? Cuz that''s EXACTLY what Obama has done.
1)Look at Hillary and Bill''s comments, and how the media completely took them out of context:
http://mediamatters.org/items/200801130004
2)Obama picked up those smears insinuating the Clintons'' are racist, with his "leaked 4 point memo" on "racially sensitive" comments DISGUSTING!!!

What was that you were saying about "fraud"? - Reply to this comment
- How can someone who participates in a racially biased and divisive church bring such a diverse country together? Religious freedom does not mean we should blindly ignore that someone has divisive or biased beliefs. We would not do it for David Duke, why should we accept anything different for Obama. CBS made a big deal tonight of supposedly clearing the air about Obama not being a Muslim, as if being a Muslim is a crime. Like so much of mainstream media they ignored a deeper issue, as I am certain many of the remaining hypocrites will choose to overlook as well. When is the media going to call this guy to the table?

- I was extremely taken aback by the %u201CAll hands on Ohio%u201D segment that aired this evening. I can%u2019t believe CBS aired this segment; a segment that was essentially an editorial plug for the Obama campaign, with some facts thrown in, where advantageous.
Fact, yes the poles show that it will be a tight race between Obama and Hillary. Fact, Ohio%u2019s (by the way, my home state), main issue at this point in time is the economy. Fact, during the interview, Clinton provided a tangible work plan for how she would begin to improve the economy when elected and the reported gave her no insight into Obama%u2019s response nor did he ask a follow up question. Fact, when Obama gave, yet another, abstract, non-tangible, response to the question (something about a building a moat??), not only did the reporter ask a follow-up question, but he also provide a synopsis (an inaccurate one at that) of Hillary%u2019s response to the same question for him to react to.
The media has tremendous influence over society. This is why the state controlled media in countries outside of our own has the potential to be a threat to democracy. So, why, in a country where we believe so strongly in free and unbiased media, are we subjected to biased accounts such as this segment? In these primaries all we%u2019ve seen is %u201CObama-controlled%u201D media, which will turn out to be detrimental to the democratics in the end.
Lest we forget about the republican frontrunner, McCain? - Reply to this comment
- You showed Hillary talking about the US losing jobs
to China but you asked her nothing about Bill Clinton
and the treaty he signed with China to make all that
possible. You didn''t ask either candidate why they have done nothing to help the USA create a real energy policy. If they had then we wouldn''t have $3 a gallon gas as we currently have.
As usual 60 minutes was afraid to ask hard questions and to give the real facts about these candidates. - Reply to this comment

- this is in response to Steve Crofts interview on tonights 60 min. Religion isn''t the issue at hand our country was founded on the idea of religious freedom. The issue is the fact, that this man who preaches change can''t show any support for this country in which he wants to be the leader of. What all does he want to change? The Pledge of Alligence the National Anthem. I want to know what are his ideas. I do know that he doesn''t put his hand over his heart when the Pledge is being said and that he does''t wear a flag on his lappel. Now you can say that this is the spin being put on by the media, however don''t you think that a man that is running for this position should know that he is always being scrutinized. I just want to know.
