Is Lara Logan the death knell for 60 minutes? How CBS continues to dilute its journalistic accumen by allowing her continued contribution is utterly baffeling. What a sad demise to an otherwise outstanding icon.

I see idiots walk out into the street everyday, not paying attention because "we are pedestrians, we have the right of way mentality". Sorry, but I personally don''t rely on anyone to protect me. I prefer to be responsible for myself and watch my back. You can''t always trust that others have your best interests at heart. The world is full of idiots with the I''m the victim mentality.

Maybe all you ''''blame the victim'''' people are right. No more blaming those who do evil deeds. Open all the prisons and set ''''em free. It was their victim''''s fault.

There was alread an assasination attempt when she first returned. She knew the dangers involved. She stuck her head out of a bullet and bomb proof vehicle. Yes, she was murdered. No she didn''t deserve it. Yes those responsible were evil and guilty. What good does any of that matter when you are dead? If you walk down a dark deserted alley in a high crime area and get attacked, don''t you have some accountablility? If you put yourself in dangers way, you can die. What good does I didn''t do anything wrong and I am an innocent do once you are dead?

logan is an immature person who has her own view about what pakistan should be doing to catch osama and of prez. musharraf. she has even little understanding of the geography and politics of the subcontinent. seemed like an 11 year old boy who plays call of duty 4 on ps3 gave her questions and she just parroted. totally puts me off watching this channel ever again, wish she would ask such questions off prez. bush as to where his plan failed rather than supporting him byt questioning prez. musharraf !
stupid stupid stupid woman !

Lara Logan does it again. Why CBS continues to feature such insipid interviews by Ms Logan is beyond me.

Most post here shows total ignorance of Americans of the real world. I invite all of your to please at least leave your island and see the real world before making your opinion about issues too delicate for your limited understanding.

The real truth is adults have to assume responsibility for the own safety whether or not they are politicians. A basic fact of life.

The nerve of that Bhutto, running for public office in a democracy. Of course she had it coming. She has no one to blame but herself.

It''s pretty near impossible to guard against a suicide bomber. In fact a determined assassin could almost always get his target with some planning even if he uses a knife if he''s not afraid of death.

I happen to believe there is no such thing as coincidence in regard to the events in the middle east.

Bhutto was forced on Musharraf by the US, he never wanted her there.

Bhutto goes on tv interviews, states that Osama is dead and stated who killed him.

Bam...she''s dead!

Now, she has let the cat out of the bag that there is no such thing as Osama and Al Queda for the world to be afraid of...Musharraf doesn''t want here there.

Now, go figure! She a DEAD woman!

Bhutto signed her death warrant when she returned. Plain and simple. Blame falls totally on her. Not anywhere else. She left because it was not safe and not a thing had changed to signify that it had gotten any better.

Americans will have to take some responsibility of Bhutto''s death regardless of which Bhutto we are talking here. Her father (Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto) was murdered by Zia. Zia back then was supported by USA for his role in training Jihadiz for what was called fight against red Russia (while Bhutto senior opposed Pakistan to be used as tool for creating Jihadiz).

Years later the daughter died because she was used as bait by USA in its so called war against terror. At the end of the day Pakistan is the biggest looser. May be in few years Musharraf will also crash his plane in the same spooky way Zia died.

The only thing must prevail is the desire to rule the world by our dear pentagon. Perhaps this explains why 80% of Pakiz are against USA.

Canaima:

Since folks are so eager to blame Musharraf, I say the US that played a role in bringing Bhutto back should also be blamed. Seems fair to me.

dargay, your comment is typical of those who today who fail to take responsibility for one''s own actions. It''s always easier to blame the (U.S.) government as part of the "...it''s not my fault, somebody should''ve stopped me, and because you didn''t, it''s your fault, not mine" syndrome that we see so much of these days..

The US encouraged Bhutto to return and forced it upon the Pakistani govt. Should the US not be considered partly responsible for her death as well?

We need to remove ourselves from the middle east an worry about our own country. We should spend the trillions on energy independence, not war.

RowdyTexan2, I guess you''ve never heard of Occam''s Razor? Go see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam''s_Razor
The theory in basic English goes: "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best." It%u2019s one of the best and consistently most accurate predictors of outcomes that science(and law enforcement) has. Personally, I think MichaelT302 hit it on the head. Why do so many people look for the most complex, convoluted, complicated answers to questions, when 9 out of 10 times it''s the simplest, least complex answer that turns out to be correct? Perhaps it comes from people(mostly liberals) watching 5+ years of "The X-Files"? Look folks, life is not like TV, you see. It''s not a movie. It%u2019s not a never-ending "JFK" with 17 assassins. It''s really not. Some of you may assume that your car coming to a stop by the side of a road is caused by an intricate combination of an EMP from an alien spaceship, sun spots, and bad karma from your road rage 10 minutes ago. Me, I''ll just check and see that yes, the gas gauge needle is on "E". But, silly me for being so "simple".

Pervez Musharraf is probably responsible for the assignation. He may not have pulled the trigger, but is a part of the axis of evil an supports violence. In addition, he felt threatened by her presence. My thoughts and prayers to her family.
