Baseball should govern baseball. With all that goes on in this world we are accepting only hearsay from a person that should be more worried and active in the illegal drugs coming in hourly & the corruptions taking place in government affairs. Shame on us for giving Mitchell the time of day on this. A person is innocent until proven guilty in this country. I believe you Mr. Clemons, and I thank you for all of your hard work.

Let the fans be heard!

............

The baseball players went on strike in the early 90s, and have threatened to do so again, multiple times since then.

When are "the fans" going to grow enough brain cells and vertebrae to make themselves REALLY BE HEARD?!

Signing an online petition?.... YAWN!

"The fans" need to go on strike (by boycotting the attendance of baseball games, and to a larger extent, not watching the games on TV either).

When that is accomplished... THEN and only then will "the fans" be heard.

I just saw the interview and he''s lying. He was evasive and did not give a straight answer to the question about a lie detection test. He wetted his lips and his eyes at one point went off to the right. There was not a straight response. I hadn''t give this much thought but after seeing this interview...he''s lying. (And WHY disabling the publish button "allows everyone to leave a comment?" Sounds like weasel words to me.

As long as Clemens insists that he will never pitch again, there is probably a job opportunity for him in Pakistan as long as Musharraf is in power. Both of them are equally unbelievable.

...........

I''m not exactly a fan of baseball, but I''ll just come out and say...

I DON''T GIVE A RATS A$$ ABOUT BASEBALL PLAYERS... OR THEIR PROBLEMS for two main reasons:

1. They want to knowingly inject themselves with drugs that are proven to be dangerous and life shortening substances.

2. These people make around seven-digit annual salaries for a "profession" that doesnt even come close to the strenuous level of paving roads in 100 degree heat (for example).

Clemens is just another example of a knuckle head athelete who has been lead to believe that he is above the law.

Roger Clemens has my vote - I do not believe that he ever used steriods.

Mike, why did you come back to interview Clemens? Why didn''t you come back to interview Vice President Cheney and Congress ask them the tough questions about their misuse of power as it relates to the Iraq war?

You are trying to move our attention away from what is really important - the favors and money that has been made from sacrificing innocent lives promoting an unnecessary war.

Who cares if a baseball player took steroids? Roger Clemens said it - someone has figured out that they can make some money - guilty until proven innocent. Clemens guilty? No. McNamee guilty? You bet.

sanbar4, be sure to take off those rose colored glasses before you go to sleep. :)

WALLACE What penalty should there be for someone who is taking these performance enhancing drugs?

CLEMENS I think it''s a self-inflicted penalty. They break down quick. It''s a quick fix. They''re in and out of the game.

WALLACE If you were to testify before the congress under oath would you tell them exactly what you told me today?

(Roger never answered the question. Instead he brings up how Vioxx again, even though Mike never asked him anything about Vioxx.) Wallace never calls him on it.

CLEMENS And even probably more about the Vioxx question.

I''m still waiting for that all insightful question that Wallace should have asked and I doubt I''ll get it. Good Evening.

Let them all take steroids!

The parents will just have to explain to their children when their baseball hero collapses between second and third base with blood coming out of his ears...

...that the heart of their hero exploded because of taking steroids!

Do you think THAT visual lesson would be more effective than just shaking your finger, telling kids that "steroids are bad for you".

Clearly, yes.

That''s because they''ve taken sports away from us, it''s not a sport anymore, it''s a business, a very BIG business.

oh and this was very funny:

WALLACE Never, never a human growth hormone?

CLEMENS Never.

WALLACE Never testosterone?

CLEMENS Never. Never.

WALLACE And never anabolic steroids?

CLEMENS Never.

WALLACE Swear?

CLEMENS Swear.

What was to come next, "pinky swear"???
