I saw A-rod outside a New York City restaraunt (I''m not from there so I don''t know which). He appeared distressed and running out the place to his car. He froze, hunched over, right before he got in. After about 30 seconds I noticed the back of his pants turning brown. He jumped in his car and as I got to where he was it stunk real bad. He defficated in his pants.

I thought I was reading a court preceding rather than an interview. Through it all, A-Rod was a class act. Thank you for keeping baseball real and not tarnishing the game.

I think the interview with A-Rod by Curic was the most insensative, vitriloc, rude, and disrespectful interview I have seen since the shotgun day''s of Mike Wallace. I am just guessing, but think Katie''s handlers have decided she cannot make it as a decent interviewer, so let''s make her nasty. I''m a lover of 60 minutes, but this type of interview was just plain disgusing and beneith CBS to allow this kind of journalism.

I know Katie is not a sports journalist but how sad it was to see her interview Alex Rodriguez. She earns about $15million at CBS and she is questioning his worth. She asked no questions about his lack of charity donations as recently reported by Serena Roberts in the NY Times(the poor conditions in one of his condo real estate properties in Florida. It was fair to ask him about his renegotiated contract with the Yankees but she should have spoken with Yankees management, too and not just a no comment from his agent,Scott Boras. If 60 Minutes continues with this soft journalism approach to celebrity news figures, then why not call it Entertainment Sunday 60 Minutes. Shame on Jeff ***** and Katie Couric. mark in spartanburg,sc

Terrible interview with A-Rod. She asked, $300 Million contract, are you worth it? A-Rod should have asked KC if she was worth the millions she gets from her contract. A-Rod is a class act.

You have got to be kidding!! You should never have let Ms. Couric interview A-Rod. Her questions to him were so juvenile and misdirected. She continued trying to make him say what she thought we as listeners would want to hear. (I guess that is what reporters do) I was once again embarrassed and uncomfortable by her poor reporting skills. Putting a minor leaguer like Katie Couric in the same space as a major leaguer like A-Rod??? Not a good idea!!

CBS made a HUGE mistake in even hiring KC. She asks the STUPIDEST questions, and is nothing more than a very large embarrassmnt to CBS. Asking him if he worth that salary, what an incompetant a$$ she makes of herself. Probably jealous,he makes more $. What ever $ CB is paying her is TOO much, and I hope they shove her out the door the MINUTE her contract expires.

I want to go on the record right now and say that I, also, have never used steroids.

I watched the interview and frankly she did a poor job at it. He played baseball here in Seattle. I think he is cool. Yes I am a Red Sox and Mariner fan. I love baseball but not the illegal stuff they do to maintain their playing and to earn more. Former Maine Sen. Gerorge Mitchell want to clean the game up so it a honest ball game free of drugs as it should be. I HOPE A-ROD IS A LIGHT FOR ALL WHO WANT TO PLAY PROPERLY AND OBEY THE RULES TO EARN HIS PLACE IN THE GAME.

Katie Couric essentially harassed A-Rod, questioning whether he was worth what he was paid, mentioning his poor performance in the offseason, and apparently forgetting the 500 plus home runs he has amassed at an earlier age than any player.

What was the point of this interrogation? So Katie quoted media pundits (schleppy guys who never made the cut to Varsity and have to vent their frustration somewhere)....like name-calling is a reflection of the absolute truth, or something.

He handled the tongue-lashing without as much as flinching, when the average person would probably exploded...I mean, what is he going to say about Barry Bonds, when others have been implicated?

If I had my drothers, I''d tell Katie that she made the wrong move from early morning to late night. She attempts to pull off some flaky gravitas, and in my mind THAT INTERVIEW WAS WORSE THAN DON IMUS''"Nappy --"
comment, which got him fired.

I thought that Barbara Walters'' interviews were full of softball; Katie was throwing brushback pitches that were uncalled for.

And need I comment on the fact that Katie has probably injected her face with so much botulism that her face is expressionless.

A-Rod should make as much as he can...in major league sports, you never know if an injury will derail your career instantaneously.

Boy, it was amateur hour tonight with Katy''s interview with A-Rod. Who likes what Bond did? But who placed an "asterisk" beside Bond''s name in the record book besides Katy? MLB didn''t. Who cares when A-Rod''s deal was revealed? What difference does it make? Who cares about some tabloid report of an affair? Katy tries so hard to be relevant she winds up just the opposite. Contract with someone who knows sports next time. No one in Denver gives a *** about the Yankees.

Katie Couric needs to try READING in her spare time. Such activity might teach her the correct pronunciation of words like "asterisk" NOT "asterick". Any reasonably bright 6th grader knows that.

"Also, A-Rod didn''''t hear Bonds had admitted steroid use? So what''''s up with the dumb line "innocent until proven guilty", while propping up Bonds over Hank Aaron? No wonder people call him ******..."

Ooh, good catch - yeah he was too understanding of juicers which makes him look like he''s pumping up too, but maybe he just seems suspicious because he''s so arrogant . . .

I have watched 60 Minutes for nearly thirty years and do so because I find the show extremely educational, entertaining and enjoyable. 60 Minutes is in the rare class of outstanding television shows. I applaud your success and ability to consistently produce exceptional shows.

I just watched Katie Couric%u2019s interview of Alex Rodriguez. Katie Couric has to be embarrassed by her performance. Her questions were uninformed, sophomoric and surely offensive to Alex Rodriguez. Her interview ranks as one of the worst interviews I have ever seen whether in sports, politics or entertainment. What had the potential to be quite an interesting interview with a key sport%u2019s figure at a time when many issues are converging, i.e. compensation, baseball%u2019s drug findings, negotiating one%u2019s own contract, Ms. Couric embarrassed herself. Her questions, certainly meant to be provocative, made her look foolish. What a shame.

This is the first and only time I have ever sent an email/letter to a network in response to a show. I don%u2019t offer criticism lightly. If Ms. Couric would like any feedback directly, please have her email me. I have actually enjoyed watching her over the many years she has been on television. She strikes me as quite a remarkable person.

Thanks for the time. Thanks for 60 Minutes.
