- Katie Couric is an absolute moron, an idiot who was not up to the job of the Plame interview. Couldn''t that have been given to somebody who was competent and knowledgeable enough to handle that interview? When Couric asserted that Plame and Wilson had become "very partisan," what the hell would anyone expect? This was just disgusting, and I hope she is not given substantive interviews like this in the future.

- Katie Couric is the biggest moron imaginable. Couldn''t you have given that important interview to somebody who was up for the job? Couric is just absolutely disgusting and ignorant! Accusing Valerie Plame of having become "very partisan" was among the stupidest, most idiotic things she could have said. What would anyone expect? Should Plame and Wilson have remained neutral?

- "But I, like most other Americans, saw President Bush say on TV that he would fire anyone from his administration found to be involved in leaking my name. It turns out the President is not a man of his word." WHINE, whine, whine.
I ALSO SAW CLINTON SAY ON TV "I Did Not Have Sexual Relations with that Woman".
That''s politics for you. - Reply to this comment

- Your bias is all to clear Katie. How about asking the SMALL question about the real self-admitted leaker...Armatatidge! Excuse me that is a Fact. He thought she was not undercover because everyone in DC knew she worked for the CIA. Just a puff piece with an agenda! no wonder you have no credability left and your ratings are in the tank. Goodby and good riddence...

- I failed to mention this: just last month, 550 tons (500 tonnes)of yellow cake (uranium) was shipped from Irq to Canada. Is it just coincidence that this was the same quantity alleged to have been sought in Niger?
Would not a REAL journalist have asked about this? - Reply to this comment
- What a piece of garbage! Spin, spin, spin, you can''t change the TRUTH, which is that everybody in Washington party circles knoew Valerie Plame worked at the CIA. Joe Wilson loved to brag about it. Fitzgerald knew from the beginning of his "investigation" that Richard Armitage was the "leak", if it could be called that. Scooter Libby was prosecuted because he could not EXACTLY recall a lone conversation from two years prior! Can YOU? The wholle thing was a Bush hit piece, blatantly undisguised. You - CBS - make me sick! You would do ANYTHING to discredit this administration, or ANY Republican administration. And you wonder why your ratings suck! Call me, I will give you an EARFULL! So many lies and insinuations, I would hardly know where to start refuting this piece of trash! TRY telling the truth once in a while. It is so liberating and refreshing, you might like it!

- I was extremely upset after watching the interview of Valerie Plame by Katie Couric. There could not have been a more biased interview on 60 minutes to date. Couric was not asking questions; she was making bold statements and asking for validation.
The first blunder was when she questioned why Plame did not stop her husband from writing the opinion piece that caused the leak of her name. Couric seemed to assert that there was an obvious connection linking Wilson''s piece with Plame''s job security. That assertion is completely out of line- since when do we live in a country in which another''s free speech jeopardizes a family member''s job security? - Reply to this comment
- Not necessarily so. She was investigating WMDs in Iraq, and he went to Niger, to research the possible export of yellowcake to Iraq. Now, they are both covering something to do about Iraq, and she was chief of operations for the CIA''s joint task force Iraq, in charge of dozens of officers and analysts. It was before the Iraq war, and she was trying to find evidence that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. In which case, they may have crossed paths at work. Makes sense to me.

- But he''s missing the point. He''s not supposed to tell his wife, and she''s not supposed to tell him.. anything. Why did he even go to Iraq to investigate wmds? Does Karl Rove''s wife work for the CIA? Ask him. He''ll say no either way.

- Katie Couric deliberately asked Valerie Plame Wilson questions on %u201C60 Minutes%u201D Sunday night, August 17, 2008, that would result in the answers that Ms. Couric wanted and not what Mrs. Wilson had in mine. It gave me the feeling that Ms. Couric was attempting to defame President Bush. I should perish the thought.

- donnie, I know what you mean, and what Katie was trying to get at, but just as Joe and Valerie saw it, I see it as a non-issue. They were both professionals, and loyal government employees, and they had a job to do. I have been there, though I have many regrets about what I did. Some folks want to make it more then it was, that way we can take the focus off the s-c-u-mbags in the Bush Regime. But I did like his comeback toward Katie!

- What amazes me about Iraq is not how many people wanted to fight another war there, and finish the job. Its how many people feel compelled to rescue a foreign dictator obviously hellbent on America''s destruction in the name of some.. philosophy.

- When you work fer the CIA, ya don''t work fer NBC. Or ABC. Or CBS. You work for the CIA. In fact, you stay away from the media.. mr. and mrs. wouldbe whistle blower.. mad at the quality of the imitation gold watch. Public service is not a financially rewarding profession. Never was? Never will be.

- WOW, my post was censored, and it wasn''t even dirty. All I said was (Lets try it this way.) "S-c-r-e-w-ing" and they blocked it out. Read the whole sentence with the word I just entered, and that was it. All I can say is wow!

- Non-sequitor. The argument was, if Joe Wilson''s wife was in the CIA, what was he doing in the forefront investigating wmds? Wouldn''t it have been better if he made some cookies or somfin instead?
