Why didn''''t Bruce write a song about the inside job 9/11 dang he missed that opportunity?

Bill Maher takes a jab at the 9/11 Truth movement in a recent "New Rules" segment.

"Crazy people who still think the government brought down the Twin Towers in a controlled explosion have to stop pretending that I''m the one who''s being naive," says Maher.

How big a lunatic do you have to be to watch two giant airliners packed with jet fuel slam into buildings on live TV, igniting a massive inferno that burned for two hours, and then think ''Well, if you believe that was the cause...''

Stop asking me to raise this ridiculous topic on the show and start asking your doctor if Paxil is right for you."

9/11 Commission Primer

July 20, 2004

This is a moment the Bush administration sought to prevent. The 9/11 Commission Primer by the Center for American Progress reminds its readers of the administration''s attempts to obstruct and discredit the work of the Commission, and abdicate responsibility for protecting our country.

%u2022 Obstructing the Investigation
%u2022 Stonewalling the Commission
%u2022 Attacking the Commission and Its Members
%u2022 Abdicating Responsibility

White House Opposed Formation of Commission: President Bush and Vice President Cheney both contacted then-Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle in the months after 9/11 to insist on strict limits in the scope of any investigation into the attacks.

Springsteen, shut your pie hole. You are an elitist, self- absorbed, uneducated, artist.

The facts

Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949) is an influential American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He has frequently recorded and toured with the E Street Band. Springsteen is most widely known for his brand of heartland rock infused with pop hooks, poetic lyrics, and Americana sentiments centered around his native New Jersey. His eloquence in expressing ordinary, everyday problems has earned him numerous awards, including fifteen Grammy Awards and an Oscar, along with an international fan base. His most famous albums, Born to Run and Born in the U.S.A., epitomize his penchant for finding grandeur in the struggles of daily life. He has sold over 60 million albums in the U.S. alone.[1]

Springsteen''s lyrics often concern men and women struggling to make ends meet.

Let''s focus here people. We are supposed to be making comments about Bruce Springsteen.

I think Bruce''s record is great. Just solid rock ''''''''n roll. He writes songs from his heart. I suspect that given his age and wealth, he isn''t gonna be writing too many more songs about gathering up his girl and blowin'' town. Frankly, given my age and situation, those kinds of songs aren''''''''t gonna be speaking to me.

Whether you like his views or not, how can one seriously (or should I say intelligently) suggest that Bruce shouldn''t write songs about politics? If you don''t like anti-war songs, write song pro-war songs, pick up your guiter and hit the road.

This is the free market place of ideas. If you don''t like Bruce''s ideas, don''t buy the record, don''t go to his fabulous, if somewhat geriatric, rock ''n roll shows, don''t watch 60 Minutes when it does a story about Bruce, just turn back to Rush Limbaugh.

For me, I don''t make art decisions based solely on the advise of politicians and I don''t make political decisions based solely upon the advise of artists. Artists are valuable because they give ua a perspective on life that we don''t ordinarily get. Bruce is real good at that. He describes life quite well. Music evokes emotions that makes rock ''n roll special a special art form.

There you go. That''s my comment.

Springsteen, shut your pie hole. You are an elitist, self- absorbed, uneducated, artist. You have no concept of real life or problems in the world. You have hallucinogenic fantasies of a world peace under the control of self-centered, narcissistic, evil, non God-fearing, boneheads like yourself. You are unable to fathom the killing potential of madmen who rule in countries like Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, Mexico, and the list goes on.........
