- Springsteen, shut your pie hole. You are an elitist, self- absorbed, uneducated, artist. You have no concept of real life or problems in the world. You have hallucinogenic fantasies of a world peace under the control of self-centered, narcissistic, evil, non God-fearing, boneheads like yourself. You are unable to fathom the killing potential of madmen who rule in countries like Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and the list goes on.........

While I support your right to post your thoughts here it might be good for you to have more than one thought to post. When you spam the board like this you insult the rest of us who are here to have an intelligent exchange of ideas and thoughts. As a result your thoughts become meaningless. Please keep in mind that most of us are able to read and comlprehend and it is not necessary to beat us over the head. I have no problem with your content but please give us a break. - Reply to this comment

- I could not believe that Nils Lofgren''s name and contributions were ignored when this piece about Springsteen was edited. My family watched with great anticipation that FINALLY Nils would be given the credit (that is so overdue) for the unreal contributions he makes to the music of so many great artists. Yet CBS ignored him. Unbelievable. I never even heard his name mumbled--if it was, it was not for long--while the others in the band are interviewed and given such respect and admiration. There is shot after shot of the brilliant Nils playing lead guitar standing next to Bruce, yet they never even talked with Nils himself. I still cannot beleive it. What a glaring and horrendous oversight. You owe the viewing public an apology, CBS. Nils Lofgren is one of the great American artists of this era. He has a strong and loyal fan base of his own. Yes, Springsteen is great but so is Nils Lofgren. Tell the world about him and be fair when you cover those that he makes shine.

- Brucy boy, you come off as if your has-been music is the gospel on life or that when giving your opinion everybody should stop and listen as if you are the second coming of Christ. Understand something, Mr. Born in the USA, your not that relevant. 60 minutes just simply had nothing else to do and then they thought of you.

Schmoozing With Terrorists: From Hollywood to the Holy Land, Jihadists Reveal Their Global Plans to a Jew!
Presented here for the first time are face-to-face conversations that noted journalist -- and Orthodox Jew -- Aaron Klein has conducted with leaders and members of terror organizations, including every major Palestinian Arab terror group, al-Qaida, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Al Aqsa Martyrs, Popular Resistance Committees, Arab liberation front, PFLP, Iraq insurgents, Taliban officials and even groups suspected of operating on U.S. soil (including Al-Muhajiroun).
This clever, often humorous but deeply disturbing book focuses not on how terror cells operate or how they get their funding, but on the individuals behind the masks and suicide bomber vests. It tells stories, often horrifying, about the events that have shaped, and are shaping, today''s Middle East, as told by the perpetrators, in their own words.

Mr Clinton had the option to have Bin Laden handed over to the US but didn''t believe he was a threat. So before blaming the Bush administration about not being on top of things look back at the administration before hand. The Clinton Administration fell into office in a time that no matter who was in office the economy was going to strive. Unfortunately he sat back and enjoyed his popularity and never did a thing to protect the US or plan for the economy for the future. The US economy was going downhill before Bush even stepped into office. Remember all, the house is controlled by the Democrats, if they really wanted our troops out they could do so. ...and to the person who mentioned we should get back to the topic about Springsteen....this is what he wants. He wants people to stand up and speak. Not talking is unpatriotic. A country founded by god and we spend millions of tax dollars to stop the use of this word in public schools, land and inside the government buildings. We are too rich for our own good and the money we throw away on a daily basis for the idiotic reasons is sickening. This is their #1 issue, we take so much for granted and we do. We American''s have such a short memory, it''s no wonder why we are doomed. - Reply to this comment

I guess that explains the 6 suicide tapes osama has released out of the 19 suicide murderers
Bin Laden Wants "Caravan" of Martyrs
Osama bin Laden urged sympathizers to join the "caravan" of martyrs as he praised one of the Sept. 11 suicide hijackers in a new video that emerged Tuesday to mark the sixth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Have you convinced Bill Maher yet?
Bill Maher takes a jab at the 9/11 Truth movement in a recent "New Rules" segment.
"Crazy people who still think the government brought down the Twin Towers in a controlled explosion have to stop pretending that I''''m the one who''''s being naive," says Maher.
How big a lunatic do you have to be to watch two giant airliners packed with jet fuel slam into buildings on live TV, igniting a massive inferno that burned for two hours, and then think ''''Well, if you believe that was the cause...''''
Stop asking me to raise this ridiculous topic on the show and start asking your doctor if Paxil is right for you."

- Asked what he means, Springsteen tells Pelley, "Well, I think that we''''ve seen things happen over the past six years that I don''''t think anybody ever thought they''''d ever see in the United States. When people think of the American identity, they don''''t think of torture. They don''''t think of illegal wiretapping. They don''''t think of voter suppression. They don''''t think of no habeas corpus. No right to a lawyer %u2026 you know. Those are things that are anti-American."
right, talk about naive lol how stupid do you have to be to believe such BS lol
so much for the democrat controlled public educational system, pathetic
get your head out of your arse, every administration has done what you are claiming has only happened in the last 6 years
what a moron
shut up and sing

Do you really think that Stringsteen reads this *****? You may be a civil right activist but, by hogging and clogging this board, you are violating the rights of others to use this comment board.
That makes you, not a liberal, but a typical greedy right-wing neo-con repugnicant. - Reply to this comment

- Well, we busted out of class
Had to get away from those fools
We learned more from a 3-minute record, baby
Than we ever learned in school
Tonight I hear the neighborhood drummer sound
I can feel my heart begin to pound
You say you''re tired and you just want to close your eyes
And follow your dreams down
Chorus:
Well, we made a promise we swore we''d always remember
No retreat, baby, no surrender
Like soldiers in the winter''s night
With a vow to defend
No retreat, baby, no surrender

- Let''''s focus here people. We are supposed to be making comments about Bruce Springsteen.
I think Bruce''''s record is great. Just solid rock ''''n roll. He writes songs from his heart. I suspect that given his age and wealth, he isn''''t gonna be writing too many more songs about gathering up his girl and blowin'''' town. Frankly, given my age and situation, those kinds of songs aren''''t gonna be speaking to me.
Whether you like his views or not, how can one seriously (or should I say intelligently) suggest that Bruce shouldn''''t write songs about politics? If you don''''t like anti-war songs, write song pro-war songs, pick up your guiter and hit the road.
This is the free market place of ideas. If you don''''t like Bruce''''s ideas, don''''t buy the record, don''''t go to his fabulous, if somewhat geriatric, rock ''''n roll shows, don''''t watch 60 Minutes when it does a story about Bruce, just turn back to Rush Limbaugh.
For me, I don''''t make art decisions based solely on the advise of politicians and I don''''t make political decisions based solely upon the advise of artists. Artists are valuable because they give ua a perspective on life that we don''''t ordinarily get. Bruce is real good at that. He describes life quite well. Music evokes emotions that makes rock ''''n roll special a special art form.
There you go. That''''s my comment.

To bad you two talent less mucks cannot do anything useful since you''re both so envious of the ICON Bruce Springsteen you could start up a band of your own the least talented of you could play the tambourine and do the harmonies. Write a bunch of pro war songs get a record contract, do a press conference and plan a world tour. Then get on 60 minutes and slap each other on the back and tell the world how cool war is.- Reply to this comment
