I have seen the behaviours of people when they can''''t buy it, whether it is from lack of money or just none available. I have seen people that will go without food so they will have enough money to buy it.

I am sorry to say this, but that kind of behavior fits perfectly for crackheads or meth addicts, not marijuana smokers. I know quite a number of people who can live life without pot and not have to spend every penny, nickel, and dime of their everyday earnings just to go out and buy pot instead of putting the money for food, clothing, and shelter. There is a big difference!!! Come on, you can do better than that!!!

"Stop and think about it. If you are smoking it everyday..." posted by ME

Actually you probably can''t stop and think about it, can you? Because you are probably one of those that smokes it everyday and don''t want to stop and think about it because you are mentally dependent.

We all know, or should know, that whether it is alcohol or whatever, if a person is physically or mentally dependent on something, they won''t admit it.

I have smoked it for quite a few years now, me being just as sane and intelligent as I was beforehand, and have experienced times without it. The mental dependency towards marijuana that you claim is bogus. If there was such a thing, then crime would be far more higher than it is now, if you think about it." posted by rushman71

No ones talking about "sane or intelligence". How''s your memory? If you say fine, you are lying.

"The mental dependency towards marijuana that you claim is bogus. If there was such a thing, then crime would be far more higher than it is now, if you think about it."

Mental dependency is not bogus, I have seen it with my own eyes with anyone that smokes it everyday. I have seen the behaviours of people when they can''t buy it, whether it is from lack of money or just none available. I have seen people that will go without food so they will have enough money to buy it. Stop and think about it. If you are smoking it everyday, it isn''t just for pleasure, if it is, you have a problem in dealing with LIFE. So if you need to see the world through that filter and you are used to seeing that world through that filter, then going without would be a definite chore for that person.

"It isn''''t? Well then, what aspects of reality become different? Red is still red, sweet is still sweet, a dollar is just as hard to earn, most tv shows still suck, gravity still pulls you toward the center of the earth, and corrupt politicians will still sacrifice your life for profit." posted by brianbwb

Hmmm, I am starting to see that you really don''t make sense and don''t know what you are talking about.

"They just don''''''''t know the accident was related to marijuana consumption because they rarely do blood tests to find out." Posted by erasmus6

"So the last statement, being pure conjecture on your part, is not verifiable with any empirical evidence, and I should blindly accept it? It is that kind of thinking that gets us, our friends, our loved ones and our children killed in wars over nothing." posted by brianbwb

See unlike you, I make sure I know what I am talking about BEFORE I speak (or post).

My cousin is a cop. My daughter''s best friend''s dad is a cop. My nephew''s girlfriend is a cop. I know for a FACT that they do NOT do bloodtests on everyone that has had an accident. Do you know how much that would cost if they did it for every accident? So unless the person is OBVIOUSLY stoned and no smell of alcohol they ain''t going to do one. They may do a breathalizer test for alcohol but that''s it. Now there may be the odd time where they will do a blood test but not very often.

erasmus6: You keep saying that pot forms a mental dependency. Where is the proof. I have smoked it for quite a few years now, me being just as sane and intelligent as I was beforehand, and have experienced times without it. The mental dependency towards marijuana that you claim is bogus. If there was such a thing, then crime would be far more higher than it is now, if you think about it.

Actually, I think that we don''t come together on the word ''dependency". I posit that I have never needed, or required (depended on it) it as a prerequisite for anything, therefore I don''t agree with the term "dependency". If you ask, at this point "then why did you use it", my answer is simple, I enjoyed it, much like a good book, or movie. In all the cases I always chose to enjoy, when and how much. If that particular form of enjoyment was unavailable, that fact never became a determining factor in anything for me, other than I would not be doing that particular thing at that time.
