- Mike Wallace -- you are a jerk for asking a possible (I hope) president of the United States a stupid question like "Did you have premarital ***?" Sheesh, that is so juvenile. We, as Mormons, believe in waiting for marraige to have *** and that a marriage is forever - eternity -- not just until "death do we part." Get real, Wallace, and it's time for you to fade off into the distance. We are tired of you and you were even slurring your words -- a few drinks before the interview???
I'm hoping you are smart enough to quit, rather than be pushed out by CBS, although that would be smart on their side!
Sincerely,
Dottie - Reply to this comment
- perception5,,, Get real dude..
Rudy can't get elected -- Rudy had no millions untill 9/11 then he had multi-millions from profiteering.
Romney -- Lied about the Sharpton interview & quotes scriptures ----- We don't need another ideaological phony or hyprocrite. - Reply to this comment
- If anyone thinks for a second that the American people are going to allow Hillary, Harry, & Nancy, the axis of nuttery to head up our government then they have been watching to much CNN, MSNBC, and CBS..........and reading to much NYTimes, Time, Newsweek, and Washington Post....... America's liberal MSM wolfpack gang......
When Americans see either Mit or Rudy up against Hillary, Obama, or John, the divider, Edwards...it will be case closed.
If either Rudy or Mit wins the GOP primaries they will win all 50 US States in 2008......and God willing will have the coat tails to swept the DO-NOTHING DEMOCRATS in our 110th Congress out of power..... Write it down.... - Reply to this comment
- Looks like a bunch of bigots here!
Not voting for Romney because of his religion is simple bigotry. If you don't vote for Obama because he's black, that's bigotry. You don't vote for Hillary because she's a woman, that's bigotry. Is one kind of bigotry better than another kind? What kind of small-minded "just drink the Kool-aid and shut up" idiots are we folks?
You can't simply label him "Mormon" and know everything about the man. There is something special about this guy. - Reply to this comment
- CONTD AGAIN.
What about the other Mormons around the world seeing all this. And then they have all THEIR issues. Man, sit back and watch because they are about to go through a modern day rift everyone will be talking about for centuries to come.
Oh, and in the Temple they speak in tongues, have visions, lay on hands, prophesy. During wedding ceremonies they have a blessing with an idolic oxen for the dead souls that will enable those dead to be resurrected to the planet the wedded couple inherits and inhabits and rule as gods over the earth. It goes on and on. Some being named ZOAR. THAT IS WHY THEY DO NOT LET OUTSIDERS INTO TEMPLE!! Do you think I'm kidding? Everyone would freak if a Christian Scientist ran for president. People should REALLY look into this religion instead of being politically correct with religion and not questioning this faith.
Don't bother responding. I won't be back.
ps-Why do the 12 Elders in Utah even have TIME to meet with Alan Sharpton. Don't they have better things to do? Like run a religion? - Reply to this comment

- THIS IS CONTINUATION
The actor (and I use the term lightly) who does, I am sure in many eyes of the Church, entertains dozens with his drunken character in some bad movie, sorta gay/maybe not skater, taking it in the crotch, touching crotches, chasing girls, and who else knows what "unconventional" charachers not befitting the Mormon Church. Oh well. He is an artist. And wants money.
I mean come on. Marie Osmond is on her SECOND DIVORCE! Just who is she going to share a planet with; or doesn't she get one now that she isn't married.
Had to go to next comment as over 1500 charachters.
I think there is quite a bit of questioning of their Mormon faith through ACTIONS if not in word. No one is sticking to Church beliefs and yet everyone is still Mormon. Yes, yes I know all the other religions are like this. But they haven't gone through a divide lately and I am afraid it is going to get quite ugly. Those are just high profile cases we know about. What about all the individual people? I know someone is sneaking coffee. And by the way, I always wanted to know if they eat chocolate(especially European) because that is packed with caffeine.

- People, people. Don't you see what is happening. The Mormon Church is about to implode. It is going to splinter at best.
They don't get involved in wars (his sons said they should have gone into military? Probably to protecth the AMERICAN CONTINENT) or take political sides. Oh right. Except when Romney has, well I am just throwing this in, a VISION and knows President is the way to go. Because it will be the righteous thing for him to do seeing that the continent of America is going to be central to worship. I am sure the military is going to love him. Hey, when the military wants to go to war, they want to go to war. Good luck with all that! On the other hand, I saw a clip that he wants to keep America safe with the military. Again, it is important to keep America safe as he really wants to keep the American CONTINENT safe for Jerusalem or Zion or whatever to have this continent for central worship. I bet he won't be able to make a presidential war decision that will drive even his wife nuts and she pops him one in the mouth.

Really. They should have had Andy Rooney do the interview. Just to mix things up once in a while.
"Mr. Romney, there are a number of things about you that really annoy me. To begin with, there's your first name, 'Mitt'. Is that what America needs now, a President with a weird first name ? Who's your running mate going to be ? Wolf Blitzer ?.... ...And another thing..." - Reply to this comment
- Hummm, a Mormon President re-tooling the federal government. There's a scary thought. Plus, he doesn't appear to have the balls to come out and criticize the current administration, at all. Nope, no pro-life presidents, please.
Sad to see Republicans just dying to find someone they can herald and proclaim THE BEST--like they did with Dubya until they realized they were supporting the enemy and went into the DEEP DENIAL they're still in... - Reply to this comment

- Well, I guess I'm a flip-flopper seeing that I was willing to vote for Guiliani and now I will vote Romney. Everyone has the right to change their opinions under circumstances at that given time.
Romney's track record says it all, he has what it will take to get USA out of debt.
Signed, flip-flopper sattriplets!!! - Reply to this comment
- For Mitt, in the end, it's all about Mitt and how he looks, not what he accomplishes. All in all, he is a nice haircut in am empty suit.

Just like John Edwards. I was afraid of that. I've got a friend in Boston who pretty much backs up what you say. And that's too bad.....I was really hoping he was different. - Reply to this comment
- Washington has far too many "tools" as it is. If we are EVER fortunate enough to clean them all out, I would highly encourage whoever is in office to LEAVE IT THAT WAY! :)

- Those who are saying that Utah has one of the highest premarital pregnancy rate really need to check their facts. According the the highly respected Guttmancher Institute, the reasearch arm of Planned Parenthood, Utah is 45th in teen pregnancy rate. Check it out yourself

- First let me say in Palmdale, CA Congressman Buck McKeon represents the 25th District of Ca and he is LDS. Never in his time while serving has he taken orders from the church officials in Salt Lake City, UT. Nor did Kennedy from Rome, Bush, etc. and neither will Romney. People who are anti-LDS will say just about anything to spread their lies.
I am LDS and I was originally voting for Guiliani, I was willing to put aside his Pro-gay marriage beliefs but I then found out he committed adultery. Last week I found out about the comment Al Sharpton made and I decided to learn more about Romney.
Thank you Al Sharpton!
BTW - Romney is the only Republican candidate who was married once. - Reply to this comment

- "Next week, Mr. Flip-Flop--Flop-Flip will want to Un-Tool Washington."
No... Re-tool is the correct term. Romney wants to get rid of the copporate tools currently in the white house and exchange them for a new set of corporate tools who have yet to be exposed. - Reply to this comment
- As a regular viewer of 60 Minutes I was very disappointed with Mike Wallace's interview of Mitt Romney. The interview was nothing more than a puff piece of Mr Romney's career and family. On the issues, Mr Wallace's questions were soft balls with no substance or follow up. On Iraq, Mr Romney says "mistakes were made". After four years, $400+ billion US taxpayer dollars spent, hundreds of thousands dead Iraqis, tens of thousands dead and wounded US soldiers, and so much more with no ending in sight. Add to the fact the whole Iraq War is/was based on lies, half truths and fear. The best Mr Romney can say is mistakes were made. This is the biggest mistake and lie. Mistakes were made. Mr Romney is living on the same Cloud 9 as our President. Completely out of touch with reality. Mr Wallace failed to ask any follow up questions to Mr Romney%u2019s %u201Cmistake%u201D statement. Nor did Mr. Wallace connect Mr Romney%u2019s statement about having values to how he applies those values. We all have values, but how does Mr Romney apply his values to the %u201Cmistakes%u201D made in Iraq? In short, Mr Wallace%u2019s interview didn%u2019t go beyond a candidate infomercial. 60 Minutes and Mr Wallace failed to provide any journalist value to its viewers. I ask that 60 Minutes take a more active and responsible role in questioning our leaders and candidates applying to be our future leaders.
