The fact that the news show "Lou Dobbs Tonight" is always announced as "News and OPINION" should inform the viewer of the show that there will be facts and Lou Dobbs' opinion. He should not have been attacked by Leslie Stahl for being an Advocacy Jounalist. He is a great American and I would hate to see what our country would be like without him.

booyaw_77, Now get this straight. The first job I had was bagging groceries, the next was in construction building chicken houses, I went to the Navy in which I served 12 years for my country. I went to school out of my own back pocket, a year here and a year there. I paid my own hospital bills and never relied on the government for anything. I have worked sometimes 3 jobs (dug ditches, worked in landfills, mowed grass etc...) to pay child support and support my 2nd wife. Now someone wants to come into my country and use the benefits that are entitled to American Citizens for I was too proud to take. No I'm sorry I cannot support that.

Potok charges that Dobbs is a fear monger. "The impression you get, pretty strongly I think, day after day, is that sort of all 11 million illegal aliens are bringing leprosy, they%u2019re bringing crime

35 million illegals and counting, Potok. In other countries, they would cut your tongue for that kind of a traitor lie, Potok. Thank God you are in America today, you traitor scum. What do you think a traitor who enables illegal invasions of China would get? A swift death, that's for sure, they kill thousands for far less, just for looking the wrong way, and they are the country you traitors love so much. Maybe you'll get what you wish for, maybe you'll get some Mexican justice one of these days, the kind where they butterfly you and leave you to die in the sun.

"Hey booyaw_77, you see it is exactly the problem. Illegal aliens come in and next thing you know they rule the country. "

They're not ruling anything, except a job market. That you and your ilk are to lazy to fill.

Of all things in this world, "the blaming of people who wanna work". I tell ya..

You think I'm ******* around? I'm not ******* around. You people are cheap. Cheap propogandists. And I will declare war on you. All of you, if I have to.

Your.. "blaming of innocence" has got to stop.

Your descrimination has got to stop.

Your unintended consequence is not in your mandate.

Stop your propoganda, or face the consequences.

It is not in your mandate, Lou Dobbs. To make american policy. You're a news organization? And your job is journalism.

Your founding fathers were criminals. Most of them were pedophiles and slave owners. How dare you descriminate against anyone. I'd like to beat the living shyyt out of ya.

Lou is a National Hero. He is someone that understands the real working people of the United States. When his show opens it plainly states that it is "News, Debate and Opinion". Now the truth of the matter is that CBS news reports only their side of the news. They tell us what they decide, and lean towards their opinion to fill in the blanks. This man is not a hate monger. He is a law abiding citizen, trying to force the government to follow the laws of the country. Now think of this. The illegal aliens are marching for amnesty, what will they march for next? Give a criminal (in which they are) an inch and they will take a mile. All you have to do is watch the speed limits in the U.S. Most will drive 5 to 15 MPH over the speed limit no matter what it is. In most of our lives we have seen the speed limit raised from 55 to 65. What speed did you drive when the speed limit was 55? What speed do you
drive now that it is 65. Human nature. Get more want more. Stop this crisis now. Deport the illegal aliens.

No, you're wrong, Leslie, very wrong. Reporter's do "take on" issues, they're called investigative journalists -- something the American "free" press has apparently elected to forego due to a low profit of return. It's something "reporters" like yourself, who stick to filtering the issues they report to appeal to audiences and more importantly stakeholders, berate while abusing our democracy. Nationalism, popular sentiment (as you profitably assess it) and personal zeal are what drive the selection and way news is reported in this country, and why purveyor's of a free-press are lucky to have the internet, an international perspective and odd heroes like Lou Dobbs to make a difference.

Since we in this country can't elect our self-assuming "journalists", would you do me a favor Leslie and take your hypocritic, market-based *** that you call "issue reporting" as long as it's what people want to hear or are not tired of hearing or what your stakeholders want to hear or you want to hear, and get it the hell out of our 'free press' based democracy?

You know what I get a kick out of?

The people arguing Big Business' perspective always have nicks that include words like "patriot", "American", "apple pie", and so on.

Yawn.

In america you don't descriminate. No matter who you work for. A liberal company? A conservative company? A basket weaving company. You're not allowed to descriminate here against a group of people, who by no fault of their own, are singled out.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I love it when Dobbs bashers howl that he is racist!

Whatta laugher! Hobbs has been married for years to Debi Segura, a former CNN Sports anchor.

No one in their right mind can think that having millions of illegal immigrants in this coountry can possibly be a good thing. It's out of hand now - we should have stopped this years ago.
It will eventually drain all the services they get now and of course they are not paying taxes, etc. And, frankly, I'm paying too much tax now. We could deport most of them if we wanted to and if they are such good workers, etc., then let them come into this country legally! I don't like going to the ATM machine at my bank and the first thing I have to do there is pick whether I want to use English or Spanish!!! So, I totally agree with Dobbs on his immigration stand and corporate greed.

If Leslie thinks Lou Dobbs should be "fair and impartial", maybe she should watch Fox News and interview one of their commentators and see what their idea of "fair and impartial" is.
