Tenet is right. He is the scapegoat. That is why he was awarded the medal at the end of his tenure at the cia (after being forced to resign). As for Cheney/Bush, any one can go back to media reports in the aftermath of 9-11-2001 and leading to the invasion of Iraq and see the reports of FBI and CIA anonymous employees saying they were being pressured to "reasses" their findings according to the white house "assumptions" that Iraq was involved. Bravo to Tenent...the truth must be told for his name, His family, and for HISTORY!!!

It will take a dirty bomb, or worse, a real nuke, going off in a city of the size of St. Louis to make you Liberals realize this war is real!
How many attacks have their been by the Islamic extremeists?
Would you belive over 4500 in the past 10 years?

And, Clinton closed his eyes on 20+ of them! They want to kill Americans, where ever, and when ever they can. WAKE UP for the sake of our children and Grandchildren.
I know that is very hard to do for Liberals. Let's see if they take on Social Security or Medicare during the next 8 years. Bush tried to, and no one cared. This is why I say, Liberals care nothing about our Grandchildren!

George Tenet is now crying in his beer, but for all those years he made deals, took advantage of all the perks, and didn't do his job thoroughly - now he wants us to forgive him for not doing his job. I don't think so.

===Rafterman1 you are a piece of work! You regurgitate the liberal left lies in the Press as if they were gospel!===

Actually, I used to be a Republican - a Reagan and Bush I man and former USMC. It was critical thinking that sent me to the other side.

===Get a brain for yourself and think man! This idea that everything you read and hear in the Press is crazy, which is my entire point on all my posts.===

The kind of wishful thinking you employ is not thinking. It's delusion. And so you apparently substitute "crazy" in the press with "crazy" of your own.

Oh, and by the way, here's some thinking maybe you need to do. If Saddam has WMD and the Americans were coming for him, why did he not use those weapons instead of ship them to Syria? I mean, he knew he was finished if Iraq couldn't beat the Americans back. There was no tomorrow for Saddam. Why didn't he use the weapons and try and save his own a$$?

You know why? BECAUSE THERE WEREN'T ANY WMD FOR SADDAM TO USE.

I have a life, I retired at 46 and am now 51. What is your story "j whitman..."?

I bet you are disabled and living off the government! Or, are you paid by George Soros to sit and type the Liberal Left point of view?

I take no drugs, except prescriptions! Nor do I drink, smoke or do illicit things.

Yes, I am a Christian and proud of it! And, I own a lot of guns! Boy, are you pissed off now?
Oooops, I said, "Boy". Now I will be called a racist, gun-toting, rich Conservative!

Good.

George Tenet said, "We do not torture people." And, repeated those words more than once.

Which is technically true. George Tenet and Scott Pelley (presumably) do not torture people.

That's why George Tenet (in concert with the Bush administration) ordered people sent to secret prisons run by those other people. They tortured people, "we" did not. Of course, "they" did so because we paid them to do so.

George Tenet is a pathological, self-serving liar and shameless thug. He should be in jail awaiting trial for racketeering and treason.

Same as everyone else in the Bush administration, including George Bush.

" ...How can you take the 911 commission report seriously when they refused to look into the wall that existed between the FBI & CIA? And, what the heck was Jamie Gerlick (sp? who cares anyway)!! This was another Government coverup!..."

-----------------

the 9/11 commission was political game by both sides. The object was to come up with a nuteral report without any serious conclusions. GoreLick? Ben Venista? Kerrey? These are people who themselves are suspected of having very deep and dark secrets in their closets. These are all experts bull-s* artists that know how to pontificate about the smoke without exposing the underlying fire. But, at the end of the day they left more confusion than when you started.

===Here we go again....waterboarding is torture!
What a bunch of ***! You liberals just keep on believing all this *** the press serves up!===

Your ignorance is absolutely frightening. You are the reason that Americans will continue to die in Iraq. It's your blind obedience and utter ignorance that gives wind to Bush's political sails and allows him to keep the travesty of Iraq going.

If you don't think waterboardig is torture, then I imagine you would not have any problems with trying it for yourself. I'm sure the Bush administration to hook you up.

George Tenet was a Clinton appointee and was kept by Bush.

That would explain why BOTH PRESIDENTS Clinton & Bush went on TV explaining Hussein was "developing Weapons of Mass Destruction"

Maybe neither Clinton nor Bush lied about WMD, maybe they were both misled by this idiot.

You folks that buy what the Press has to say are short minded. Digest what you hear from all the sources and form your own opinion. IF YOU truly do that, you cannot side with organizations like CBS news! They are pure propagandists!

Where is the real outrage over the leaks from these Government agencies? Remember how fired up you all got when the totally fabricated "Valarie was Exposed as a CIA agent" when NONE of that was true? You liberals are so predictable and that is why Rush is right!
