Both sides were wrong , but the boys didn't try to press charges ! The duke boys should sue the company that sent that gorilla to do the job of a stripper !

Irrespective of the black/white theme I see running through this thread of emails, the real issue is being overlooked.

You have an overzealous DA, who was presented facts on several occasions which exonerated all three of these young men, yet he chose to disregard it as "fiction". Irregardless of the color of skin, these three young men were subjected to an ordeal unnecessarily.

my next phone call if i were them would be to a lawyer suing that DA for everything he owns, and expects to owns. At a minimum he should be disbarred.

as for the young lady as the center of this situation, i hope she gets the help she needs to overcome her issues.

I'm basing my conclusions on the history of bad behavior of those preppy PUNKS in the neighborhood, which a lot of people are CONVENIENTLY FORGETTING! These dumb jocks are "the usual suspects".

Those preppy PUNKS have enough bad history to to alert ANY good cop/DA rightly investigate them as a result of allegations.

What was the incident those dumb jocks had with the wiatress/barmaid in the bar that borders on criminality?

I'm basing my conclusions on the original statements of both the girl and her sidekick, who was most likely PAID to recant, or INTIMIDATED into recant her story.

I'm basing my conclusions on the substances that were found in the woman's system.

I'm basing my conclusions on the circumstances of what likely went on when a bunch of racist jocks were fill with DRUGS, DRUNK, and DISORDERLY BEHAVIOR in an environment of S-EX/stripping!

I'm betting that their lawyers of those deceiving preppy PUNKS are too smart to have them sue, now that they are riding the wave of ILLUSORY 'innocence', by an American population that wishes to be CONNED!

csbse3 - The cases where black people and other people of color actually get over the criminal justice system are so grotesquely rare that it is totally unfair to even cite such a case. For every single case like the one you describe, there are thousands and thousands of people of color who are detained in a jail for months without having any trial and are later released after it is determined they cannot be found guilty. For evey single case like the one you cite there are thousands of black people in jail who are not guilty or in jail on drug crimes where they did't hurt anyone but themselves.


The Duke students were involved in a "he said/she said" and were charged based upon what "she said". When facts came out the students weren't guilty they eventually didn't even go to trial. This type of thing happens a lot. If the person is black and has no money, they probably stay in jail for those months before being released since they couldn't make bail like the Duke kids.

As far as New Orleans, I watched for days after Katrina while thousands of almost exclusively black people were abandoned. I yelled for the government to send anybody to help. They waited days. I don't think for a second that if these were white faces I was watching being tormented that help wouldn't have come sooner.

Goes to show, if you are a DA and plan to press charges against some wealthy white men, you better make sure you are 100% right they are guilty from the start or you will be disbarred, sued, and ruined.

Of course, feel free to charge poor people of color without worry as that won't come back to bite you. If they didn't do the crime, they will just be investigated and (hopefully) found to be not guilty. But charge a rich, white man and later find out you were wrong? End Of Carreer and Probably Worse.

What a sick double standard. Sure, it sucks that those Duke boys were charged when it turns out they were (probably) innocent. I feel for them.

But, there are many poor people and people of color who are charged with crimes which we learn they didn't do. Should we hang those DA's? Be a lot of hanged DA's.

It is the blacks who made this out to be a case based on race.

I always saw through her lies, you can check my comments from a year ago..I also want to say "I told you so" to President Brodhead. He was wrong to suspend those kids without a trial.

Their parents need to sue the ho, the school, the DA, and especially-jackson and sharpton for their defamatory and inflammatory comments. These boys feared for their live because of those two.

The media needs to censure Jackson and Sharpton. they need to be accountable for the protests and the black panthers marching on the campus after innocent kids.

The woman belongs in a mental institute for life and her kids should be taken away from her. She even looked spaced out on the tv. Her face should be on the cover of Psychology Today, as well as Time as Newsweek. Let her feel the embarrassment she has caused these boys.
