- The perception of Iraq is that we are not winning we are losing. This is in part from media reporting, but in the main because of the ability to download uncensored images from the Internet.
I cannot understand why UK and US forces are not uploading positive images onto You Tube and Live Link, showing the schools which are working, the hospitals which are working, the Police who are working, the Iraqi Army who are working.
As for Al Qaeda, we'll see in the coming months, they might have volunteers prepared to die for the cause. The job of the UK, US, Canadian and Dutch soldiers amongst others is to enable that to happen. - Reply to this comment

Even Christians sell violent video games that kill Muslims! These games teach our young kids to devalue life as they kill, kill, kill one Muslim and "bad guy" after another - so that by the time they're 19 years old and in the Army in a war of choice - they shoot innocents, rape and murder them - without a second thought!
Your assessment is a bit shallow. As a member of the armed forces idon't kill and rape inocent people. Kids playing video games is not a lot different from kids of previouls era who went outside and played army or cowboys and indians. Did you have sthe same opinion in the 60's and 70's before computers and PS2 were around? An Army recruitment video (or any other service for that matter) can hardly be compared to a torrorist recruitment video. - A couple years ago a bunch of people traced all of the "al qaida" websites back to a company called Everyones Internet in Houston Texas, owned by a good friend of the bush family, Roy Marsh I believe his name is... Go look it up. People that know how the net works aren't stupid, we can find stuff like this out easily. You can figure out where any internet site is hosted at simply by doing a whois at a registrar or doing a tracert in DOS..
Well anyways, nobody is promoting this stuff more than our own mainstream media here. They're making them famous like they talk about. - The United States has no time to lose in the Battle for control of the Internet. We should be Jamming, Hacking taking them out of the game. I would think the NSA would have the ability to do just that. They rely on a log in process just as we do........In the National Interest Microsoft should be helping.

- No doubt there are groups in America who use it to talk to one another, but I think the article is a little on the scare-tactic side.
With all the measures put into place and how peoples' connections are LOGGED by ISPs (and now mandated by federal law if I recall correctly), there is little anyone needs to worry about. If some b******* wants to talk about blowing things up via the internet, the sites visited are a giveaway. Heck, with all the lawsuits the RIAA has filed against folks who share music files over the "anonymous" peer sessions, it's being tracked and the real troublemakers are being gone after.

- Not so long ago I wrote to some politicians, including a Senator running for President, about this very subject. You can't beat an ideology with guns, tanks, and ground forces! The only way to fight this war is to generate doubt in their convictions using the media and the Quran in pointing out how they are being used by others. Still haven't seen too many senior terrorist leaders seeking martyrdom themselves. Must be a short supply of virgins in heaven!
