- Good Morning,
I had to sleep on this before I decided to write this comment. First of all thank you for taking the time to bring us a candid look at Senator Obama. I personally like him as a candidate and believe that he will make an outstanding president. My issue is with Mr. Kroft, I am not sure if he intended to be insensitive or if he didn%u2019t realize the questions he was asking. First of all as an African American, I didn%u2019t choose to be black it was chosen for me by my parents deciding to create me. I don%u2019t think that an individual that is bi-racial should be asked that question. What made you choose one race over another, I think that is insulting. However, I loved Senator Obama%u2019s response. My request as an American citizen is that we take the focus off of his race and focus more on the issues at hand. We want to move on past racism however the news media keep mentioning his race. I am not sure where you got that African Americans don%u2019t think your black enough statement from but I think it is your opinion as a non African American. See we study the issues as well so the fact that Senator Obama is black doesn%u2019t affect the decision I will make to vote for him. I am voting on issues and would appreciate it if you and the other media would acknowledge that we (African American%u2019s) have a brain. - Reply to this comment

you turn every single topic into a anti-gun issue.
you are flipping annoying and need to stick your &^$*^$%@# 10 feet &^%*&% your (#@^*%@^(*%@*(@#^.
Do you seriously think you need to have a gun to feel safe??? if this is a problem the move out of overpopulated areas. (+ their are plenty of other ways to protect yourself from people) If you are a hunter and that is why you are thoroughly obssesed about guns to bad learn how to use a bow.
every forum you are on all you can think about is your guns. I dont know what you went through as a kid maybe you got bullied one to many times on the playground and now you somehow feel somehow powerful when you hold a gun but you serious problems.
me I life in a small town and hunt during deer season rifle and bow and also enjoy partrige season. - Reply to this comment
- I have read several post that mentioned Barack Obama's lack of experience. How much experience did or does Bush have. Barack is not the experience crook, if that is what you are looking for in a leader. This is a chance for America to rid itself of necons who have destroyed our relationship with our allies and have caused the death of 3,000 + men and women.

- Why are so many posters here attacking the interrogator? If Obama is not resilient enough to withstand questions (any questions) he certainly could not preside effectively. Further, it is obvious these posters are overly biased or otherwise motivated.
Obama may very well make a good president but the fact is, having him as the democratic nominee could be as detrimental to democratic chances of winning the presidency as Ralph Nader, running as an independent, was in the 2000 elections.
It is sad but nonetheless true that Gore would have won by a much larger margin if Nader had not drawn away so many votes.
Obama, being the democratic nominee, is probably the best chance the Republicans have of retaining the presidency in 2008. - Reply to this comment
- I pray that society looks at his track record and not the color of his skin. We need to let go of the racist times and forge forward with the 21st century.
God Bless. - Reply to this comment
- Hey Australia, when you are finished with Johnny Howard can you send him over here so we can have him as President? America loves Howard!

- First of all, we the people, are usually presented, by the mainstream news, with adjectives as charisma, world's most qualified, smartest, .....and the list goes on. The reality is that Senator Hiliary Clinton has the fininacial support and backing of big name party contributors, the Democratic National Fund Raising Committee, Liberal Hollywood Crowd..... and the list goes on. The fact that she has been planning & organizing this, behind the scenes, years before being elected New York Senator. She has this thing locked up.
I may be stupid, but not entirely dumb. She is in to Win! Follow the Money Trail. At present, her treasure chest is estimated to be head & shoulders above any other promising candidate. Fooling all the people all the time works more often than not.
According to the interviewer Senator Osamba expressed concerned about the US recovering a sense of respect that we lost over the last 6 years? I'm confused, If we were so revered & respected in the world before and during the time of 9-11 what would have provoken such an attack???
By verbally attacking our allies, doesn't do much to reciprocate respect either?

- I was disgusted watching this interview. Since when does a journalist get away with asking "You were raised in a white household%u2026. Yet at some point, you decided that you were black?" When does someone "decide" they are black, or need to somehow justify it to a racist interviewer? Kroft is no journalist.
I hope this is the last farce of a segment he produces or appears in for 60 minutes. I am personally tired of seeing him. - Reply to this comment
- If President Lincoln were able to observe from the Lincoln Monument what was happening in Washington today, as a fellow lawyer and as a skilled speaker and debater, Lincoln would surely have to admit that Barack Obama would have been his toughest opponent ever. I believe that Abraham Lincoln would have lost the election if it had been the Lincoln-Obama debates instead of Lincoln-Douglas debate.
Barack Obama is the Goldilocks Candidate. His experience is not too much or too little. It's just right. - Reply to this comment
- It is quite exciting to say the least, watching Senator Obama respond to ANY question thrown at him. If you watch him closely you see a man who is very confident in himself and takes little or no offense to some questions that may not be otherwise asked of another candidate. Granted these questions are reflective of the thinking of a number of people, but I want you to watch this man change America. Here's the deal - even if Senator Obama loses, he will have changed people and politics forever. My gut feel (and I am a repulican) is that he is going to win the democratic nomination and will go on to win the elections becoming the first African American president. why? Everyone has said it - so has he - we need CHANGE! he is fresh enough to bring this change. Where he lacks in experience, he more than makes up in gutsiness, will power, knowledge and rehetoric - and sometimes this is enough to win.... GO OBAMA!!! you give hope to millions...I am routing for you!!!!!.

- First, Sen. Obama is black. It doesn't matter that he is also half-white, because perception colors reality, and we perceive him as black. Second, that doesn't matter, becaue he's not running as a black man, as others have before him, but just as a man. And finally, he may not be Washington-experienced, but he is experienced in politics, in law, and in life. He's a dream candidate; you couldn't cast a better one. Let the GOP have the racist vote%u2014I'm just waiting for that fine November morning to dawn in 2008 when I know we helped change the world for the better.

- i was absolutely appalled at the scurrilous nature of Kroft's interview to say nothing of his introduction which in 50 words or less hit on obama's name rhyming with osama, mentioned his middle name as Hussein, and pointed out his drug abuse. I truly believe Senator Obama should totally ignore mainstream media. He has more class and integrity than any of you sell-outs.
