- CRAZY-Dave2, do you think this case is going to be up in the air 11 years from now, like the OJ case?

- CRAZY-DAVE2, how can you tell if this case got messed up because someone was going to use this case for their own advancement, or if it went to such a mess because they were just too lazy to get their homework done in the first place and just figured nobody would catch them?
How is not finding out the real truth going to be any advancement to anyone? - Reply to this comment
- Olemiss85, questions for the frat guys? I'd like to see what they said when nobody was around....just talk, no covering etc. THEY should talk, not the parents, not the lawyers.Do they think they got set up by others in the frat house? Does somebody know something but they just have a code of silence? Are they really innocent? Do they have ANY responsibility in this expensive mess? Do they trust "southern law"? Did they think all this stripper stuff was decent? Is it demeaning to women in the first place, the rest of society? would they want their mother to be a stripper?

- CRAZY-DAVE2, you make sense. Do you think anyone trusts "southern law"?

- olemiss85, the "scumbucket" came up when someone called the woman a scumbucket....so I figured in fairness if she were a scumbucket for BEING a stripper the guys of course were scumbuckets to HIRE a stripper. fair is fair.
If they didn't rape her than they are NOT guilty of rape. but from many of the posts it seemed like people were just jumping on the "innocent" band wagon without asking questions. I think the question of mental health is an important question. Lots of things happen to mentally ill people because people figure they will get by with it. It took a ton of questions, but in time it did come out that that woman probably IS mentally challenged etc. - Reply to this comment

With hope the people of Durham County will take some more time looking into the motives of the politicians ,and leaders who say they have the best interests of the voters and followers in mind. Maybe jumping on the band wagon will not be so popular ,if they know its journey may not always take them to their destination of the promised land.
The anticipation, that The North Carolina Department Of Justice System will take this opportunity to purge their system the of representatives that think they have the right to work the system to suit their goals. Justice can not be driven by hate or greed. anyone that speaks up for any type of human or legal rights does not use hate or greed as a tool to achieve their goals The whole world is watching and everyone involved is under suspicion
Someone I spoke to on the web said, %u201DThis dismays me as well but I'm going to wait and see how this is all handled before I pass judgment -- there is an opportunity for someone to come through this with a glowing reputation -- let's see if anyone has the guts. kahluacream - Reply to this comment

Optimism may be the only course of thought that can begin to bring this case to a fair and just conclusion .
If the states victim can learn that the energy she expended to bring this case to the justice system by her, was spent on her attempt to receive her education, she would have been further ahead in the end. The North Carolina Department of social services many find the people in need of help sooner, rather then later because it is obvious that their help is going to come to this woman after the fact.
The lacrosse team students at duke university could have better spent their time hitting the books, saved the couple of hundred dollars on the entertainment they obviously did not enjoy, and the tens of thousands of dollars it will cost their families to defend them. If they learn nothing else in this life lesson learning experience, in the future they will be much more careful. So will many others.
The parents of these students would not have expected that this would be part of their children%u2019s college life, or their%u2019s. They may choose to inform other parents about the things they may have done differently to prepare their children, or they may take the lesser road to inform people about how to defend bad actions and poor ethics. Hopefully we will see that keeping family close during difficult times, is the touch stone that builds and heals communities - Reply to this comment
- Hi Olemiss85, thanks for answering alot of my questions. did they find and test the five other guys? Do you think people on all sides would feel safer if they just moved this case to Nebraska or something? if the things you just wrote are true, why don't they just go to court, clear things up, and THEN be done? DNA testing etc is only as credible as the persons doing the tests. After BARRY SCHECK in the OJ case,i didn't think all the rapist old Barry was letting loose afterward were necessarily innocent, because i didn't trust Barry Scheck.

- If I am alone in a forest and I say something and there is no Hermie there to say I am wrong, am I still wrong?

- If I am a "scumbucket" (what ever that is) and I hire a stripper and she later claims I raped her and ejaculated on her and in her and says I didn't use a condom and she goes to the hospital the same day and a rape kit is peformed and DNA is taken from her and the police ask me for a sample and I voluntarily give them one and an independent crime lab performs the neccessary tests and cconcludes that none of my DNA is present, so obviousy I didn't rape her as she says, and I say I din't so it......am I still guilty because I am a "scumbucket" and hired a stripper?

- Hermie, What is it you want the Lacrosse players to say? Just answer the question and don't go off on one of your mindless diatribes. You ask everyone else to answer your questions. Tell, us, please, what you want them to say?

- In the Spring,he stripper said she was raped, by a lacrosse player, by a ***, without a condom. Before the indictment, all the lacrosse team, including the accused voluntarily submitted their DNA to the police. In Decmember, after the DNA lab showed that NONE of the lacrosse team's DNA was found in her but that of five other men who did not attend the party was, she met with Nifong. She then told him she was not penetrated by a ***. She also changed the time line of events to after months of seeing that one of the men she accused was at an ATM machine at the time she said she was raped. Her new time line shows she was on the phone with her dad at the time of the rape. The accused say they didn't do anything. That's the evidence in a nutshell. What is it that the men are supposed to say? Hermie keeps saying "the truth". It appears from all the testimonial and scientific evidence that the boy's story, which has not changed, is the truth. I can't for the life of me figure out what else anyone wants the Lacrosse team to say. Why is it so hard to accept that what they are saying is the truth? No, I didn't do anything. And the DNA says so too.

- JFMR, when you're praying, do you pray for all the truth to come out?

- JFMR, some of the most effective liars are composed.

- The parents of the boys were very composed on 60 minutes. I know that had to be hard for them when your son has been wrongly charged with things they did not do. I give them a lot of credit for coming on the show, I pray for them and their boys that this goes away. Since I firmly believe that they are INNOCENT! All of the boys.

- When this case is all over the stripper should be put in jail and her children should be taken away from her and given to the courts. If she has an attorney he should be advising her that lying like this and causing all of the heartaches that the familes and boys have gone through, not to mention the coach losing his job, should be punishable by law. And what about the other stripper? She should be in as much trouble as her friend for the fabrications she has told.

- The President of Duke University should be ashamed of himself for what he has done to the families of the Duke boys, all of them. Everyone of the Lacross players. This was a crime in itself. And why did Duke allow the Black Panthers to march on the University grounds? It is prinvate property. Every student who was there was in jeopardy when they marched with their guns. All of the parents who pay for their children to go there should demand an apology from the President of the University, I personally think he should step down or be fired!

- I think it is time for the strippers face to be plastered all over the media. Starting with Newsweek, and the New York Times and all of the papers down south. Then put her face on the side of a bus and write LIAR under it. I think everyone is entitled to know her name. I do know her name because I looked it up on the internet, but I think her name should be on 60 Minutes and Hannity so everyone else can know it.
