- I hate when people (and now municipalities) take the easy road to express fear by picking on individuals rather than addressing the TRUE root of their frustration:

- Americans, committ crimes too. And I know you have to be legal to be in the Armed Services my point is it is UNFAIR and PREDJUDICE and RACIST to say "all" illegals committ crimes! I mean come on get a better arguement than that. Stop being afraid people...they are only claiming what was once theirs. Get used to it.

A man in the country illegally is in Luzerne Country prison on drug charges after a series of undercover buys by the Hazleton Police Department.
...In fact, the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported he%u2019d been deported on July 22, 1999, and had %u201Cno record of legal re-entry.%u201D
...Peralta had already been arraigned at City Hall by District Judge Joseph Zola on the drug charges that led to his arrest when his true identity had been determined.
...He [Judge Zola] read him his Mirada rights again and asked whether he understood. The suspect said he did.
%u201CI want you to understand you do not have to say anything to me,%u201D Zola said, %u201Cbut don%u2019t dare lie to me.%u201D
Zola then asked for his real name. He responded, %u201CCarlos Peralta.%u201D
%u201CAre you here illegally?%u201D Zola asked.
%u201CIllegal,%u201D Peralta answered.
%u201CYou%u2019re here illegally?%u201D Zola asked. Peralta nodded. He added he bought the phony IDs he%u2019d given to police %u201Cfrom somebody on the streets%u201D in Hazleton.
...Police made undercover buys on Nov. 1, 2, 4, 8, 14 and 17, and three times Tuesday.

The woman that used her son to go in front of congress to plead for her not to be deported she was working under a different ss#, they can collect welfare the same way. If that type of behavior is acceptable to you then you are no better then the lawbreakers that do not belong here.Our tax dollars have always gone to the politicians but as a legal citizen I have no choice.Unlike the illegals.And As far as Americans being less hardworking then illegals isn't that streotyping on your part by pretty much saying all Americans are lazy. The illegal invaders have the right to be treated fairly and humanely until they are deported. This is the US, US citizens speak English. English is the official language of our country, not Spanish.
The illegals are not entitled to any rights/benefits of being in the US, as they are not citizens. Mexico is responsible for providing their rights/benefits.
Mayor Barletta has the right to protect his town and its citizens from the illegal invasion and the crimes and system burdens due to the invasion.
Soon, more and more cities throughout the country will be passing the same laws. Once the illegals have no jobs, no place to live, and are not able to receive any social benefits because they cannot prove citizenship, they will begin to leave on their own.
The US belongs to US citizens. We will not sit back silently and let our country be invaded and taken over.
This is our country, our families came in as LEGAL immigrants.
This country belongs to the US and US citizens. We make the laws in this country-- not Mexico, the illegal invaders from Mexico, or their supporters.
They can take their fights/protests/demands back to their own country, where they belong. They are not legal US citizens, they are not entitled to any rights or benefits--again, except to be treated fairly and humanely until they are deported. - Reply to this comment
- Having an Italian flag hanging in his office,
does not make him a hypocrite, it makes him proud of where he came from. I have an Italian and American flag and I am proud of both. But my allegiance is to the U.S. As his allegiance is to the legal citizens of his city and not to the illegals.

Ummmmmm....That is because over 57% - 67% of the illegals are Mexican. The next 15% are Hispanics/Latinos from other countries. The remaining percentage is made up of Asians, Europeans, etc. Therefore, you can see why illegals are referred to as Mexicans.
All potential renters have to fill out an application to confirm citizenship. The application is then forwarded and processed by the city. This eliminates the potential of racism, prejudice, xenophobia--or whatever else the illegal supporters want to call it.
In regard to employment--there is no reason why a legal, US citizen cannot have documentation to prove their citizenship--unless of course they are not citizens. - Reply to this comment
