- To 60 Minutes,
Joe's real, down to earth and a class act. I listen to these million dollar players today, Joe's got more star power in one finger than they have in their entire bodies. Gosh. I grew up in NY, and Joe was as big as the Beatles and Ali.
I've been a Jet fan since 1969. Joe's drop back, set-up and release, what grace. I agree with John Madden; I marvel at it to this day.
Peyton Manning is good, no doubt, but he looks like a nervous wreck back there; not Broadway Joe -- cool.
Today the QB's are protected, you can't touch them after they throw the ball, the offensive linemen can grab with their hands and the cornerbacks can only bump the receiver in the first five yards.
If Joe was playing today, he'd be throwing for 5,000 yards. Like Al Davis said, "Joe tilts the field!"

- My my my Joe, you are still da bomb. You are looking mighty fine and sound great. I give you so much credit for telling of your fight with alcoholism. You have handled your life with such grace and you are one classy guy. The east coast misses you. Every time I watch the Jets I think of you and wonder what you think of the team you once led so well. Florida is lucky to have you!! If you are ever on the beautiful Jersey shore, please look me up. Single, professional and blonde with blue eyes. Speaking of blue eyes, yours still sparkle and they are still the most beautiful shade of blue. Yeah Joe, you still got it!!
Hugs

- Joe,
Remember me? We had dinner together with the Vestin group. I am your #1 fan since Alabama. I sure would like to get in touch with you again. Any chance?
You signed all the football cards, jersey and football. I have plenty of memorabilia and every book ever written about you including your Mother's.
I still love you,
Jill Murphy

- Hi Joe,
Let's try that again, I recently sent you an email that I couldn't read, and I typed it!!
I think it was my old version of word.
I am 51 years young, but look much younger. I'm 5'2'', 113lbs with long auburn hair. My friends would tell you I am very attractive, have a great sense of humor. I am honest, kind, loving and very compassionate and always look for the good in people.
I've tried the blind dates, and the on-line dating, etc. But just have not found that one special guy and I know he's got to be out there somewhere!
I would love the opportunity to at least meet you
You just never know what can happen; I don't think you will be disappointed.
If you're interested I would be more than happy
to send photos
Sincerely,
Liana - Reply to this comment
- Hi Mr. Namath. My sister called and said I must watch your interview, and since you are single I should write to you. I had just gotten in the house so I read it on the internet. It certainly was delightful. I live in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY and I believe we share a common ethnicity. Perhaps, when you come to New York or I go down to Florida we can get together. Joyce

- Hey, Joe....Your interview was refreshingly candid and real. :)
I can relate with your post-marriage feelings. I miss the lifestyle, but I've learned a lot in the 12 years I've been on my own. (I didn't see it coming either; at that time our daughter was very small). I wanted to focus on giving her the best life experiences during her formative years & didn't want 'distractions' to get me off~course from that goal.
Shortly after she said "It's time to get yourself out there Mom" I caught your segment on 60 Minutes.
I'm spontaneously writing this as a Thanksgiving prayer, in Faith, Hope, & Love that we will all find our Soul Mate & live life more fully than we ever imagined....together, and with our children, & our (some day) grandchildren. :)
Life's Best to all,

- Joe,
Great interview! I had wondered what happened to you. I can still remember the Jets win over the Colts. I don't think that any of us fans that watch football can even begin to realize the injuries you guys get. Especially back then! I have never had an alcohol addiction but have been there with a pain killer addiction after several surgeries. It's tough to beat and I hope you can stay on the path you are on right now. May God be with you.
I too am looking for a great companion, be it a wife or a very good friend. I an not an ex-football star, not rich but I have alot to offer if you are looking for love, romance and a trustful companion. I am 48, 6'1", 180 lbs, all my teeth and most of my hair! Lol! I don't drink or smoke (and my painkiller addiction is 5 yrs in the past).I live in Ohio. So if Joe doesn't get back with you and you would like to talk...IM me at AOL....Eaglelowes. :)
GOOD LUCK JOE!

- Joe,
Just wanted to say that you have been one of my favorites for a long long time, both on and off the field. I thought your interview was great! You were so humble, not that you haven't always been.
I loved the fact that you announced on National TV that you're game to meet the ladies. You must be hanging out with Terry Bradshaw! He makes the same announcement on Jay Leno every appearance, but I don't know if it's worked for him. haha
Now you see that I have a great sense of humor, I look well too, and have a fantastic personality. I think we should have lunch or spend the week end together. You still game??
It was wonderful catching up on you during the interview. So good to see you smiling and happy!
I know you want to "kiss" me!!! And it's OK!

- Broadway Joe,
You have still got it going on! I so enjoyed your interview. It was great seeing you laugh at life.
I would like to get on the list to play the dating game. I pick Bachelor 1, 2, & 3 hoping it's you I see!
You are an amazing man. Only the best to you.
Let's talk!

- Joe, sorry I missed your interview last night on 60 minutes. And me your biggest fan! I read the interview and I am so glad you are doing well. To me you are still the great guy you always were.....with those piercing blue eyes.
I understand they aired our picture with that other guy Mickey Mantle. Yeah that's me and you with the Mick outside your Mantle Men and Namath Women Agency on John Street those many years ago! You even signed that photo from me on one of my weekly visits to Shea to see you practice. But alas your signature is fading.....however the memories of those good times will be with me forever.
Be sweet....Marilyn - Reply to this comment

- Please pass to Mr. Namath. I am going in for my 5th knee surgery in January to remove the hardware from a difficult injury. After that, the knee replacement with a tendon replacement. These are the most painful and difficult surgeries and I understood your pain. You came across as composed, wise, intelligence, sincere and honest. You have learned from your experiences and it shows. I would love to correspond with you. You have so much to offer.(single, long auburn hair, 52 yrs. old, 5'3" your girl next door looks, worldly and discreet).

- First of all, I want to say that Ed Bradley will be greatly missed - my condolences to his family, friends and co-workers.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the interview with Joe Namath. Hey Joe, still lookin' good! I remember the parties my girlfriends and I would have whenever the Jets played (when we were supposed to be doing our homework). You introduced me to the sport of football and I'm still a fan; a single, 52-year-young, tall, brunette fan! - Reply to this comment
- Broadway Joe has had a piece of my heart even before he took the Jets to a Superbowl victory. I also am from Pennsylvania and would love to know if my "high school hero" (I'm 53 years old) is possibly my dream come true. (5'6", red hair and blue eyes). Let's complete a pass!

- Joe,
I didn't know you were single or I would have been in Jupiter long ago looking for you, Baby!
You are too cool! I would love to spend a day on the beach with you. I have a great health product I would like to share.
Blessings,

- Joe,
I caught your interview on 60 minutes. It was good to hear you are doing so well. I am still a big fan of yours and have the scrapbooks to prove it. I even married a guy who looked a lot like you. I have found my scrapbooks of you and would really like for you to have them. I think you and your daughters would really enjoy what I have collected. If you are interested, please e-mail me, and I will see that you get them.
Thanks again for all the memories.
