- Oh well, whats another 1/2 $Billion?
Its just another few days cost in the life of the War ON Iraq. It will be at least $500 Billion by the time we're out (not factoring in long term care of the thousands of seriously maimed US troops).
So when are Bush and Cheney going to JAIL, for their crimes? Yes, LYING us into their needless, horrific War of Choice is about the highest of High Crimes and Misdomeaners, a clearly impeachable abuse of power.
CBS (Cheerleaders for Bush Society) ignored the hundreds of thousands of protesters in the streets pre-Invasion. Not a anti-war voice to be heard. Just a lot of hancy graphics and "in-bedded' news personalities. And now we are stuck with a
COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISASTER in the Middle East. - Reply to this comment
- Is this the "democracy" our troops are figthing and dying for? Is this "freedom" worth all those Iraqi lives which have been lost?
Is this what we Aussies, the Brits and you American taxpayers are funding?
I reckon we have all been had.
Please Messrs. Bush, Blair and Howard, give us all a break and get us out of that place. - Reply to this comment
- Great 60 Minutes program tonight,, Our administraton does nothing about genocide in Sudan for exchange of old Al Quida info,, Connect the dots,, Bush's CIA helped radical Muslems overthrow their government & gave power to those who helped Bin Laden. This is worst than the Central American crisis of Ollie North... Bush is immoral, totally immoral .

So what's the Republican plan to save the world? Haven't seen one of those either except to stay the course.
BUT WAIT! Just today Bush say's they have NEVER said to stay the course.
Guess the Ministry of Truth will really be busy revising all of the news reports, videos, blogs - left and right, White House transcripts, etc. that have been quoting Bush as saying "stay the course".
We have always been at war with Eastasia. - Reply to this comment

- I don't see how Bush and his cronies can even show their faces in public, they should be humiliated at the mess they've created in Iraq. Incompetence and terrible planning abound. We all know Saddam and his bunch were a pack of mean scumbags, but there had to be a better way to handle replacing them without tearing Iraq apart. It's just shameful in so many ways and I feel has created more enemies of the US than it has eliminated. We need smarter people in Washington.

- So who can I give my money to that will give the most percentage to the people I am trying to help? I want to help these people in any way I can, but I don't want to be abused in the process and think I'm taking care of unfortunate people when I'm really taking care of political leaders- from any nation.

- Brount-
Not to worry... if Bush goes down, half his cabinet and the VP will be him... I'm sure there is enough evidence to go around.... can you just hear those paper shredders being warmed up... LOL
This would be a laughable comedy on stage if it weren't so disgustingly destructive to America... - Reply to this comment
- LOL... it's so nice Bushies new democracy is just as corrupt as their Republican instructors... although, I really don't think THEY needed to be taught anything...
Way to go Bush.... just keep pouring billions more into the money pit and watch it disappear...
Isn't it so wonderful how we keep track of these important assets... - Reply to this comment
- How soon we forget. Would it have been better to leave Saddam in power?
"More Than $1 Billion in Iraqi Assets Found in Foreign Banks"
By Susan Schmidt
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, December 21, 2003; Page A26
..."Saddam Hussein's government diverted at least $1.8 billion from the United Nations' humanitarian oil-for-food program and moved some of that money to foreign banks or used it to buy weapons components."
"Officials are pressing the hunt for many billions more Hussein is believed to have moved out of Iraq...
...Investigators said they have identified $3.3 billion Hussein generated since June 2000 in violation of U.N. sanctions. " - Reply to this comment
- Too gosh *** bad, our young men and women sacrifice their lives for an ungrateful theif.
The noise of Wolfowitz's "Their oil revenues will pay for the rebuilding"
Who else is getting rich off the blood of our young? - Reply to this comment
- Shocking! This is one more example and a clear demonstration of the incompetence of President George Bush and his pathetic refusal to be held accountable for the mistakes that marks his presidency as surely a colossal disaster for the American people, for the United States of America and for world peace. Why the American people do not rise up in anger and simply accept his leading them to the precepice of financial ruin - amongst other consequences of his presidency- perplexes me. If ever a U.S. president deserved to be impeached President Bush surely ranks as the best candidate. The only drawback to this would be the replacement by the nefarious Vice-President *** Cheney.

- Osama bin laden doesn't have to hit us again! All he has to do is sit in his tent in the desert with his many wife's and wait for George W Bush to do it for him! The man and his cronies are going to bankrupt us with their inane idea's and uncontroled greed! But, people in this country never seem to learn! I will project they vote the same mess right back into office. The person who said we got what we deserve is right! We got it in Spades!!! American's never seem to learn Republican's are not anyone's friend but other greedy Republican's! I personally stopped voting for them 20 years ago! Ronald Reagan was one of the worst! But, he can't hold a candle to George W!

- it just hurts so *** much. Can't everybody see that we were a better country before he took office? Now, I know 9/11 happened and (even though some may argue it was created for the use of securing oil in the future)that was something he couldn't control. But we had a surplus of money and now I'm afraid to invest in the stock market. the Euro is worth almost double the dollar (that's simply depressing), our healthcare is out of control (even that facist Amadenijad can see that). I'm afraid for the U.S. No, I'm afraid for the everyday person who doesn't realize all the things I said. Where do we go from here? He still has two years in office.
