- Check out www.worldcantwait.org......and if you really want them OUT, get out and VOTE this November and encourage others to do the same. We need to win a minimun of 15 seats to get the majority in Congress to start to end The Occupation of Ameriraq by cutting funding

- The Woodward interview was completely credible. I'd trust my life to this man. He is a careful, thoughtful reporter, has an excellent record on his reportage. I'd suggest people read the interview carefully and think about it. The hysterical comments coming in are worthless. Reflection is a dying skill in our hyped up culture.

- to drgoodwin, here are just a few of the sites that i have read concerning iraq. please keep in mind that i normally do not log this info when i read it. but here are a few. jihadunspun, jeff rense.com,bushwatch,bush lies,60 mins. nov.21,2004 global researcher.ca. i've also spoke to some mothers of marines in iraq who are also aware that the d.o.d has only been counting those killed at the scene. those that die on the way to the hospital,at the hospital, and so on are not counted as kia. whether it's 4,000 or 40,000 the figures that we are getting from the media and the military are alot lower than thay claim. and that is just wrong!

- Fair question, "So what if Bob Woodward is correct?" The immediate answer is, "Our Troops." Our troops are depending on us, U.S. citizen voters, to drive policy and to vote. Think about how the troops feel, if the growing danger they are experiencing on a daily basis is not accurately communicated to American voters.
The second answer is, "Our Country." The well-being of our country is at stake. Winning a war requires solid data, followed by adaptation to changing conditions. If the administration is in denial, ignoring facts that do not fit their view of the world, then we are in trouble militarily and politically. - Reply to this comment
- If half of Woodward%u2019s book is true then so what?
We have a person trying to sell a book, and we have an administration who lies to America constantly, also, we have TV news media who are controlled by corporate owners.
I can only guess that Americans don't care about being lied go, and having our young men killed. America must not care about how Iraq is being handled. America is buting into the protection against terrorist ***.
By the way eleven countries did warn the Whitehouse, CIA, FBI, DEA, about 9/11 before it happened.
I can only guess that the press coverage of Woodward%u2019s book is an attempt to help increase sales. The TV news media has supported the administrations lies all along.
If there were genuine concern about all of this one would think that there should have been congressional investigations, or perhaps they are afraid of the VP and David Addington.
Well I guess this is another case of a lot of talk about nothing, again.

In case you change your mind and check this board again...
I don't see where I lashed out. I definitely disagree with you, but didn't call you a liar or talk down to you as "people like you", as you did to me. I can state my views without resorting to childish name-calling. Can you?
You say nobody wants to listen and understand, yet you are the one shouting out insults, then running away from the discussion.
I have great respect for the troops. More than you know. They deserve better than the lies and distortions coming from this administration. - Reply to this comment
- I only see one person supporting Bush here, the vast majority of post are in opposition of Bush and his Rovettes. Now we have the Foley scandal and it could be more damaging to the Republican party than anyting Woodwards said.Talk about ironic, this president leads us into a war that he premediated without any justification and gets thousands of american troops killed or maimed for life and some little pervert gets caught and the republicans knew about this but stayed silent. They are both heinous crimes but it is the level of aknowledgement from the republican party that is getting people fired up as if they did not know about Bush misleading us.

- Jreil, Everyone LIES! Including you. You say the mantra of "it's all Clintons fault" is tired and lame, well so is the mantra of "it's Bush's fault." Nobody puts the foot on the others shoe but they think they have facts to mouth off. I did LISTEN to Clintons "I failed to get Osama" and I also listen to all the "BUTS and EXCUSES". What the heck are you talking about when you say that it was Bush's order to send troops out to Iraq? Are you not understanding the reason for that order? Everyone knows it's about oil and what is oil??? MONEY! Bush excepts responsibility for the troops that parish in Iraq but what does the public need from him to understand that? You also need to educate yourself of the reasoning of the troops. Did Bush DRAFT these men and women? NO. They volunteered to fight for our country. They chose that path and they knew what was expected of them whether any war happened or not. People like you do not give any credit to the troops that are brave enough to do it. People like you are always the ones in the background complaining. I get so tired of all of these liberals trying to make everything peaceful when no such thing exists. We are always at war, whether it's an actual war or the war of opinions. Jreil, I will not respond back to you because I will not view this comment board again. You have lashed out. You more than likely will do it again. That is why we have wars of a different kind. Nobody wants to listen and understand. It will never change.

- Don't generalize and say "Americans". I never supported this man or anything he has done. When this war started and I was against it, I was called a "traitor". Yet this man and his cabal lie over and over and over and make confetti out of our constitution and you REPUBLICANS who are too brainwashed by the FOX machine continue to make excuses for him and support him. Every piece of evidence that has been brought forward that proves these people have continually lied and even broken the law is ignored or waved off in the name of "national security". Well, folks. Take control of your brains, open your eyes and and try to figure out how to get your government back from the brink of fascism.

- so,what is new? bob woodward writes a book that is more factual about iraq than the bush administration has claimed and suddenly it is big news. did america forget that it was bush and his gang that lied to start this war. has anyone forgot that the invasion of iraq was illegal and a war crime? yes, the american people forgot, that's why this book is creating such a stir! after listening to bob's narration about the 800 attacks on u.s. troops each week, how many fools out there still believe that the loss of u.s. troops is still around 3,000? reliable sources have estimated at least 40,000 u.s kia and counting. this information was available at least two years ago but since it did not come from the caucasian dominated mainstream media no one cared to notice. if america ever drops it's racist, arrogant, hypocritical view of the world maybe they will try to correct a wrong regardless of who it is done to. case in point,is the fact that most of the statements that woodward has made so far pertaining to the war in iraq has been in the underground media on a daily basis. but of course this news is not coming from america so it is discounted.

- It is amazing that Rice cannot recall her meeting with Tenet.Has she forgotten that during the 9/11 commission probe that she aknowledged having the conversation with then terrorist czar Richard Clarke two months before 9/11?The rovettes can only sing one song deny, deny and critize your opponets when face with the truth.Time for a change, a new congress to keep Bush in check with the constitution, something he long abandoned.Get out and vote and get rid of these Benedict Arnolds.

- I have felt long before Mr. was elected that he was not the "man" to be our president. I realize there are two sides to every story, but the article on Mr. Woodward's book have convinced me that we probably have a sick man in the White House, and that we desperately need to elect a democrat led House of Representatives and Senate at this mid-term election, and seek the best possible Democrat to lead our nation. I am a Christian, a Southern Baptist, and a Consertive Democrat. I ask God to be merciful and guide us in what appears to be a real test of nationhood.

Bob's last 2 books has a lot of positive things to say about Bush. Were those assumptions and lies, too?
Bush has been in office SIX YEARS. The old mantra of "it's all Clinton's fault" became tired and lame a long time ago. Bush is president now, and has to assume responsibility for things that occur on his watch.
9/11 was a failure on the part of many different administrations, including Clinton and including George W. Bush.
I guess you didn't listen to the part of Clinton's FOX interview in which he said "I failed to get Osama."
It's not about blame, it's about responsibility. Money, oil and power didn't give the order to send troops to Iraq. President Bush did that, and he has to accept responsiblity for the consequences of that action. Those responsibilities currently include 2,700 American troops killed, thousands of Iraqi citizens killed, and an environment of brutal violence that grows worse by the day. - Reply to this comment
- Read the book first. Buy a copy, **** off the White House!
We have known they were liars since before they invaded Iraq in our name. - Reply to this comment
