I thought it was a very good interview, direct and to the point. President Musharraf seemed forthcoming. It's amazing how our anger towards terrorist blind us from seeing the causes and understanding the real reasons, behind peoples willingness to blow themselves up for a cause. Labels don%u2019t explain anything but is a convenient way to keep people from asking real questions. To solve any problem, you need to know the real causes or the answers will be the wrong ones.

A very interesting thing is that now how can one believe in all that Iran has been saying about its so called peacefull nuclear program? we all know that Iran had got sensitive nuke components from Pakistan. Nothing to worry about how and why Pakistani scientist gave out nuclear technology to others.
A simple question is, could any one name those American scientist(s) and Brit Scientists who first time leaked their nuke technology to other EU countries and rest of the world? which Russian scientists gave nuke technology to India? who gave nuke technology to Israel? and the list never ends. We have more than 3000 nukes , all highly sophisticated and God knows the exact number. Pakistan is not the first country to leak this all. We need not worry.

Where the hell do you get off showing footage of soldiers dying? As a combat veteran, and medic, who was personnally present when several of my friends died in Iraq, I am deeply offended, and demand an appology! I understand the need to show clips of the videos that were intended for terrorist training, but this is OUTRAGEOUS! Where is your sense of decency?

I guess that meant Musharraf did not want to help stamp out the terrorists initially. So USA told him that he is either with or against such actions (we all heard those words back in 2001). We will never know now what were the exact words but remember they were said right after 9/11. What did you think that meant back in 2001? Those who are disagreeing today, where were you back in 2001?

The real concern is that Iran and North Korea now know how to build a nuclear weapon.

Its funny that Iran, who said that they do not want to build a nuclear weapon never said no, we don't want this information since we never plan on building a nuclear weapon.

Another note, its sad that people stick to their political positions no matter if the positions are right or wrong. What I mean is if you are Republican, you can't go after Bush. If you are Democrat you must go after Bush.

As regards to Musharraf's claim, I think he is trying to play politics which he always has been doing . He behaves with double standards. Telling US that he is working to get bin laden and try to get money for the military to fight India and then when he is at home, he will try to appease the Pakistani public which is mostly pro terrorist.
Just try to remember what happened in Kargil too. Musharraf was signing peace treaty with Vajpayee and then he started Kargil without informing the then PM of Pakistan. Might is right is the policy of US , you are right but India one day will definitely get that position for sure, it has got good people and it has been making progress lately . But look at Pakistan , it is is shambles living mostly on the crumbs given by US.

The US had brilliant men as it's founders followed by mediocre leaders in the later half of this century. Pakistan fails to acknlowledge the contributions of its founding fathers and has continuously produced mediocrity among its leaders.

Passing judgement is easy, understanding the big picture isn't. It's not about book deals or arm-twisting into submission. Heads of State are corrupt mischiefmongers the world over. There's no room for altruistic politicians at the top.
