I am concerned that you would broadcast something that (even your cameras were extra close up)clearly shows a man who is lying. He is continually shifting his eyes, squirming in his seat and not once did he look at Scott Pelley in the eye and answer his questions. This man is clearly lying. He reminded me of Nixon. Are you more interested in defaming Lance Armstrong then seeking out the truth. Let us remember that he was experiencing cancer treatments on and off. I am very disappointed. The other people that you interviewed looked the Mr. Pelley in the eye and answered the questions. Some people really do not lie and break the rules. I am more inclined to go with Lance's thought that the man is a burned out athlete who never made the big time and is merely jealous. He even said as much. I usually tape your programs. I did not tape this one. I hope that this is not going to be a new trend that you frame people with conjecture as opposed to getting the truth. As you are a news Magazine and have plenty of time to do your research I do not feel that you have the right to do anything less than tell the turth and not try to bait and switch which this article clearly does.

60 minutes must believe that Armstrong is running for president on the Republican ticket.

I wish 60 minutes would cover the real story. Everyone inside the sport of cycling knows Lance doped. Just like most every European cyclist does. This is standard practice. It levels the playing field. The athletes with true physical gifts still rise to the top.

But Lance was never that good till he got cancer. Lance had drugs that none of the other riders had. That is the real story. Experimental cancer drugs like rsr13 developed by Allos Therapeutics and distributed by a sponsor Bristol Myer ... were far more effective then the EPO and Steroids. I think this is far beyond a standard doping program.

Hey 60 Minutes Investigators....
Why did Lance drop out of the Olympics 12 hours after RSR13 was added to the USOC banned substance list?

Why was RSR13 omitted from the Tour De France banned substance list on Lance's last tour win (this was the first year it was available to the public).... but it was on every other banned substance list of every other major race that season?

Why does everyone keep saying Lance has never failed a drug test? his 1999 and 2000 tour samples came back positive for EPO. He only avoided punishment because they didn't have a "B" sample to compare it too. But the US Government doesn't care about "B" sample crap like the UCI does. To the US Government ... positive with one sample is enough.

Defrauding the US Government (US Postal Service) from a Position of Trust (Owner of the Team)... that sound pretty serious to me. Big Tex is going to jail.

What 60 minutes fails to tell you about the drug testing done on cyclists is that it is done randomly YEAR ROUND - not just after a win in a stage race. The comments by the ex-olympian that 'she beat all the tests' are meaningless since they are not tested this way. The testing regime in cycling is so strict that applying hydrocortisone cream to a sore would cause you to pop positive for corticosteroids.
The amounts they are looking for during testing are so minute that the procedures employed by the labs must be looked at closely, and that is also why multiple samples are taken. A tiny mistake by a lab tech and the tests can think you are taking all kinds of things. EPO is a natural substance in the body, so is testosterone, "consistent with use" on a lab report doesn't really mean anything except that it is there. Having a meeting with some lab guy to check out what procedures are used, and what equipment the testing is done on is no smoking gun folks.
There is no way for Lance Armstrong to prove the negative - that he didn't use PEDs. That is why guys like Tyler and Floyd can tell any story they want and try to cash in. If the testing regime is so broken, and the teams are so slick beating tests, how did Tyler and Floyd get caught? If cycling as a sport is so corrupt, why would it allow Floyd to tarnish the Tour de France by letting a positive drug test out in the first place?

It is truly pathetic state we live in, today. Where the norm is to Cheat and Lie to gain whatever you can get. Over the past 2 decades the 1990's and 2000's&have become the LOW point in our history - Cheating has become commonplace whether it is Baseball, Cycling, Ponzi Schemes, etc. And, where the phase "Act now and ask for forgiveness later!" has become the norm.
Let's face it; Lance is a cheater and liar and when you get caught the first thing to do is throw the people telling the truth on the defensive. He is right up there with all the Steroid Baseball Players and even Pete Rose&A majority believed in those LOSERS, too.
Great Values & Role Models for the Younger Generation!
Question: For those of you that do not find anything wrong with Cheating - Would you hire or let a Doctor/Surgeon, who cheated on their Boards, to cut into you? Good Luck!

Why has this been in the CBS News.com headlines for three days now?

WHO CARES? Armstrong's glory days are over, doping or not. All this extended coverage does is prove (again) CBS News is one-sided, narrow-minded and certainly not global.

To be perfectly honest. I could care less about cycling. It will always be a minor sport in the U.S. Unfortunately, we live in a valueless society that worships the dollar. If throwing somebody under the bus, benefits them financially then that is what we do, whether it is right or wrong. If Tyler Hamilton really loved cycling, he would have no reason to right a book. There are a thousand other things, he could do to benefit his sport. It is my opinion that Tyler is a desperate man doing a desperate deed.

So many people say it is no big deal that Lance used PEDs. No big deal??? - Then why didn't Lance admit to using them on the multiple occasions that he was asked?

I wonder how many other folks will get their 15 minutes of fame at Armstrong's expense?
