In a world where all we hear is about war, greed and the like I am inspired by the sharing of this story. You did a great job with this and thanks to Gospel for Teens for finding something inspiring to give, in the music, in the community and for the future of all our children.

Although commendable this segment was way too long. There are enough church sermons and the like on TV all morning long.

Ms. Stahl,

As I viewed 60 Minutes last night, it mirrored what we as educators face on a daily basis in urban schools. We cannot leave the problems at the door. We must address the problems before we educate the child. Some of us are doing a fairly decent job with the limited resources. Some of us are overwhelmed because there are no resources. Yet, we are held accountable for educating the total child. Few people understand the importance of art and music in public schools. Art and music it is a healer for many students. It is a way out. I have witnessed the impact on students.

Thank you for letting America see why it is so important to educate the whole child and allowing them to draw their own conclusions, when these resources are not available to children. The question is, what do we use in place of art and music?
We need the Vy Higginsen spirit at the national and school board level, in order to help educate the total child.

Like the Teens learning music theory bit, don't like the indoctrinating kids into a violent religion bent on world domination and totalitarian control over every aspect of our lives bit.

I was inspired by these stories of struggles.I hope these children never give up hope and to keep God first in their life. I cried through out the show. My husband and I hope we also can change someone life through God. Thank you 60 minutes and Vy Higginsen keeping the art alive by sharing this piece.
