mari241:

"having an old culture" can make some of you feel superior to Americans, but then you are doing the same thing you are critizicing: trying to put down other countries (just because they are more modern). The age of the culture is no indicator of development or anything.

History does no good when Iran politicians and militias only remember history to entice feelings of hate and to justify killing more people. And that is what Iran has been doing for centuries. Forgiveness is what needs to be incorporated into the beliefs of the Iranian dictator and all his followers, to replace their greed and hatry.

Iran is far behind in technology, research, health care and many other vital fields of real life. A sick person who needs medication to survive, cannot be saved just by the culture. Countries having ancient cultures usually have the side effect of living in the past. The oldest cultures on earth are in the poorest countries in Africa.

Compare the following characteristics of Iranian culture with societies in the 1500:

1-Treating women as less than human citizens.
2-Constant attacks and agression between neighboring nations just for greed.
3-Defficient personal hygiene practices.
4-Animal means of transportation.
5-Scarcity of potable/uncontaminated water.
6-Tyrants ruling by terror.
7-Outdated infrastructure.
8-Outdated technology.
9-Closed minded about other peoples' beliefs.

Look at Iran of the 1500 and look at it now there's no big difference.

I noticed that Iran has opened it's tribute to the holocaust, a cartoon exhibition making fun of the torture and death of millions of Jews. It puts CBS, Mike Wallace, the Iranian public, and the KKK in the same arena. There are also plenty of post-ers on this site gushing over the racest Ahmadinejad. Wake up folks, Ahmadinejad (and the notibly quite Iranian public) would cheer the death of millions more.

Well, it was supposed to be an interview, not a debate. You're not supposed to be able to "lose" at an interview. But guess what, Mr. Wallace! You are a LOSER.

Questions not asked by Wallace:1)Is it true that clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad against infidels? 2)Is it a current mideastern Muslim belief that by killing an infidel, they are assured a place in heaven? 3)What is the Muslim definition of "infidel".If the definition is "non-believer",then all humans who are not of the Moslim faith are infidels, and therefor deserve to die.Yes? If this is what the civilized world is up against, then let us inform the "infidels" of their plight.Wallace was out classed by this very cleaver debater.

shah1942,

It goes deeper than you know. The 1953 Moseidik overthrow by the demonspawn Roosevelt to install the Shah was meant to make you metaphorically, as good muslims, throw up. The Iranian people (led on by instigators) cried to be free of the Shah. The remedy was also supplied by the global intelligence agencies: Ayatollah Khomeini. The current "redneck cowboys" in control of the (now defunct) US government are the *same people*.

Thanks for your concern about my safety.
I am an American-Iranian and I live in the USA.
And for those of us living in Iran, I do not think the Mullahs are smart enough to track you all the way to the cbsnews website where every body can post his opinions freely and safely.

dara_va_sara,

Please explain your open hostility toward your own Iranian government. If the rulers are as harsh as you say, aren't you worried about the consequences of speaking out as you are now?

I just heard on Radio that Iran will use Iranian people oil money to rebuild what has been destroyed by Israel war campaign. And this is despite the poverty and huge economic and social problems that we currently have in our own country (Iran). These Islamism fanatics in power in Iran do not care about the Iranian people and do not represent the majority. The fanatic regime in Iran is desperate to create or keep allies in the region using our oil money that is greatly needed for people in Iran and they are spending it on Arabs that will stab Persians in the back first opportunity they get.

On the other hand, I say that I live in a dictatorship, and yet I am free to post what I may. Being a hacker, I must only assume that people in Irsn (snd even in China) must be capable of getting their word out.

mburlone,

Your post is, of course, impossible to refute. But I will add that it doesn't matter whether the "Iranian" posters are honest concerned citizens or controlled instigators. The *effect* is to heat up the conflict.

So Iranians, Israelis and now Americans live under Fascist dictatorships. It will be dismissed as "wild conspiracy theories" on the Zionist-controlled media.

Something doesn't add up - Many people who have posted in this forum claim to live in Iran and know first had the brutalilty of Ahmadinejad toward those who whoe dissent.

If he is really so ruthless, then why are you speaking out against him? Either
1. You are really brave
2. You are really stupid
3. You are really lying.

Please do not admire Ahmadinejad. He is an idiot and a blood tirsty killer like all Hezbulla members.
Please remember that people are tortured and killed in prisons in Iran every day with the blessing of this monster Ahmadinejad, not because they comitted a crime, but just because the dared critisizing these Islamists facist/fanatics.

Jackjack23,

I'm sorry I implied that all Persians wanted to kill Arabs. What I meant to say is that Sadaam (a CIA operative has convinced many hundreds of thousands of Iranians (Persian or no) that killing Arabs is a good idea.
