I love these stories that the murderers come up with and of course, no one can say this is not true, cause the only other person is dead. So lets sensationalize it and make up circumstantial crap that is ludicrous at best. It either happened or it didn't.

Sad story for Minor and the Locker family. Unfair statements about the wife since she is sweet and not what people are assuming. Prior to making accusatory comments, people should think about what type of man does what Jeff did? Is it a rational person? Is it an egomaniac who wanted to control everything and everyone? Could his family if they had known talked him out of it? I very much doubt that if the wife or the children knew he was going to kill himself that day --- they would have let him. The wife would have done everything in her power to stop him. That is the type of person she is. Is it someone who could not face the world unless he was King? Was it a person that could manipulate Minor and his own family? Is it a person that cared more about material things? Is it a person wanted more than he could afford? Was it a person that lived beyond his means? How can anyone blame his wife and children? Is that fair? The wife has a father that is an attorney. She did not need for the husband to go and do what he did. So stop blaming a wife that is nice and seems as if she is a victim of the circumstance vs. stating she was the reason he did what he did. He did it on his own. He did it to himself. I read all the comments with venom against a family that can not possibly be blamed for something the man did to himself. It was his thought process --- not theirs.

I feel more contempt for Locker's family than I do for his killer

Gosh, how sad and sickening at the same time. Teaching children money is more important than their father. I hope this man's mother did not have to know what he chose to do, so his children can be financially above the need to survive.
What psychological damage they have done to this children is so sad and sickening. I am not sure if the wife could have talked him to a more humane logical decision, or she was pushing for this so she can collect, but either way, the adults in these children lives that had anything to do with this let them down.
And yes, this was murder, the defendent in this case deserved jail time. He should have called the police, or just walked away as the other man did. Helping take a life is murder. Life is definitely worth more than $1100 and more than the millions the family collected.
I am sorry the defendent chose the sick choice to murder this man, and it is sad his life has to be behind bars for most of what is left of his life, but I do not see him as a victim at all.

I pray this world stop getting as sick as it is. Really sad, I can't imagine those children enjoying that money.
Getting a smaller house, scholarships for the kids, and the wife and kids and children working, would have been better than letting this man do something, that he has answered for in the presence of God.

Since this is a civil suit to get the money or more money; doesn't the insurance company have a right to ask the wife & kids all the questions they never had to answer, by not attending the criminal murder trial? Their bizzare weird behavior should be questioned and if they don't like it, too bad. What are they hiding? Did the grieving widow and children know about ponzi schemes? Well I think I'll just go to sleep!

He did not have to make it look like he was murdered, he could have made it look like an accident and not involve anyone else. Run his car out of gas on a freeway and stumble into oncoming traffic, do work on his house and fall head first. There are a number of different ways to create believable accidents. No need to let someone rot in prison for your selfishness.

I watched this on TV last night. Locker wanted to die at the hands of someone-anyone, so that his family would receive the insurance. He could not commit suicide, the family would not get the insurance. Since his death was ruled a homicide, they have received a portion of his insurance, which now the family is suing for the full amount. The family doesn't deserve a dime of that money, they couldn't be bothered to attend the court hearing, much less the ruling. Seems the money was more important than Locker. Too bad Minor didn't just walk away. Not knowing the full details of this case, it would have been difficult to rule innocent or guilty, so I can't say what should have been done.
Isn't it sad, that Locker felt his family would have been happier and better off with his death. Greed is what it was all about. The family and Locker could have made changes in their every day life and survived, but they just couldn't give that rich life style. How very sad.

No one has commented yet on the son's text about how to/what to do on the video. Was there one? If not, then I would have had to subpoena the son into court and ask him some questions. Perhaps, again, not wanting to "get involved" is why they stayed away. I don't know about all this, either, but I tend to go with Minor.
