robs60,

Yea..because there are no guily people in jail. They are all innocent and it was the lawyers fault.

Your son is a criminal and so is this lady. Deal with it.

I saw this same story on DATELINE NBC last year and they went more in depth with this girl''s defense attorney. He did a horrible job with the arsenic theory of death.
The NCIS on this case also did a pretty bad job. The arsenic was mixed with something else and was botched. So, my question is this, HOW DID THIS YOUNG AND HEALTHY 23 YEAR OLD DIE?
As for the wife''s behavior after he died. Well, talk about no respect. It''s no wonder her kids were taken away. She could still be tried for her husband''s death too. Interesting....

He sits in Fl. prison for 10 years for nothing!
Basically!!!Is there any way you people could have Ms. Sommers or her family contact me??I AM in Mich.
I need to talk with them about this attorney only!!\ sincerely Robert Sills

IF you have not watched something
die from arsenic poison, then you can''t really have any idea just what agony this death is. We had a cotton farmer to the North of our pasture. Cotton defoliant is 75% arsenic/25% diesel
The wind was blowing hard from the North when the farmer was spraying and the defoliant came over onto our pasture. We were not home, when we arrive home about 10pm,
we heard screaming when we pulled in the drive way, and rushed to the barn, to find 10 does dead and the last one in agony. The nearest neighbors had left messages asking what was wrong
with the does. No way that children in the apartment were still asleep when the EMT arrived, that this man was in bed with some discomfort, got up and dropped dead is not the reaction that I witnessed. The lab report on the stomach content, of the last doe to die had .00015 ppm, of arsenic ALL tissue of the animals liver/kidney had arsenic
I watched the entire trial, and didn''t believe it then, she was convicted because of her conduct, each of
us has to grieve in our own way... shock causes strange behavior
She could have killed him, but not
with arsenic.

Prosecutors got everything right except the poison. It was anti-freeze (ethylene glycol). Check it out. Nausea/vomitting, diarrhea, fever... takes days to die. Often diagnosed as flu or stomach virus. Easy to detect if you know what to look for. Exhumed bodies have been tested years later to confirm presence of poison.

This woman may have been set free by the law, but she is certainly guilty of something. I do not feel this woman loved her husband the way her mother goes on. Her mother was acting for sure on the stand. No real tears there, of course her mother is going to stand by her. This woman has no scruples, she may have them now and knows she was lucky to get away with murder. How she murdered him is a mystery, but I think she did it. Nobody who is grieving can go partying and doing all his male friends before he is cold in the grave. This is unreal, I feel she got away with murder. Partying, new body parts, taking her thong off in front of people, wild as the wind. You think she would be hugging her children and be close to them to comfort them in the loss of their father. SHE GOT AWAY WITH MURDER, THAT IS MY VERDICT.

a marine marrying a bimbo......no mistery there. She was doing the gardener while he was away fighting for haliburton''s oil.

Dear 48 hours mistery staff and reporters:
I have always been an enthusiast reader of true crime stories. As soon as I found your section here at CBS news I began to read each week your superb epitomized real stories. THANKS A LOT
By the way, I prefer reading that watching them on TV.
