- This is the sadness that afflicts families that do not have Jesus in their lives. Instead of going to the bar, go to church and get inspirational help from the Lord.

You must not remember all of the crazy people who claim "Jesus told me to do it". - Reply to this comment

- Just to add to carolcape...if she had tried to prevent the murder she would have had cuts, bruises, and at least blood on her.
Imagine you walk in and see someone killing your mother...would you not jump on them, fight with them to get them to stop? and then call the police or run or be hysterical...not text I love you....get real - Reply to this comment
- Oh, I just want to add...I belong to a support group of mothers with children with BPD. There are more than one of us that locked the doors to our bedrooms at night. I started to do so when my daughter threatened to have my husband and I killed by a drive by shooting. this was when she was 15. although I did contact the police nothing was done to her...she was not arrested or anything...I was on my own
More understanding of this illness is needed. News shows should devote at least one show to this horrible illness, and not wait until a murder occurs to do one - Reply to this comment
- carolcape, how can you state, "I would have found her Not Guilty if I was on the jury", when you haven''t heard/seen what the jury saw? The airing of this story was less than 60 minutes, certainly not enough time for you to come to a "Not Guilty" verdict.

- As a mother of a child with Borderline Personality Disorder we need a real show on this disorder. This is a horrible case, but I agree with the diagnosis. But we need not wait until a murder, this terrible illness needs real time, media coverage
Please Please Please...someone in the news media do a story on borderline personality disorder...the symptoms, actions, affects it can have on family and friends as well as treatments.
This illness has too long been overlooked. Rarely do you get any type of coverage of this illness unless like in this case it results in a murder.
she had all of the symptoms that sound to me like they were never treated. The cutting/injury to herself, the fear of abandonment, the all good or all bad, the self centerness, etc...If you want a good book to start to understand this illness read "Stop walking on eggshells"
I hope my plea for a real story on BPD does not fall on deaf ears. - Reply to this comment
- Rachaels sadness and tears come from the fact that she got caught...that her mother didn''t just go missing and it ended there. Things happen for a reason, and the mother being found in that box could be a sign from Barbara that it was murder and she wanted it to be known who did it...

- It could have been the father-I mean, he could have been the one they killed...not that it was the father that killed the mother.

- They didn''t just run to Tampa freely because she was still under age, the mother would have went looking for her. Remember when Rachael was past her curfew? The mom went looking for her. I think the two of them possibly talked about murdering her, but decided just to talk to her and the talk got out of hand and they both snapped. That night when the mother went to bed, why did she lock her bedroom door? she obviously feared for her life from her daughter and Ian. She must have sensed something going on prior to her death, they both were probably acting suspicious, mean, sneaky, etc. Rachael is a smart, cunning, manipulatve teen who got whatshe wanted and when she couldn''t get what she wanted...you don''t cross her that''s for sure...it could have very easily been her father too. The make-up of these socio-paths is all the same-the blame game and acting innocent. Rachael had a hand in this from the start, and her life is ruined-no marriage, kids, college..due to her own evil ways, not anyone else. If she loved her mother as much as she claims, I am sure she would have told Ian to lay-off her mother. She is not this sweet innocent virginal teen girl with braids that she is trying to portray. She belongs locked up!!
