Any one who really knows Linda will tell you that she doesn''t "sugar-coat" things. She is one person who will always let you know what she thinks and where she stands on issues.
Some mentioned that she should be more concerned for her granddaughters. Jim and Linda love those little girls. The grieving Mr. Baker took them to Kerrville where Jim and Linda have had a harder time visiting them. The Dulins have had to go to court just to see their granddaughters for more than an hour or two at a time.
I think the pain that one lady saw in his eyes is there because he thought he had gotten "away with murder," but now realizes that he may not have been quite as smart as he first thought.
Something that bothers me is that while being interviewed about the earlier death of Kassidy and the death of Kari, his voice showed no real sadness or emotion. Not once did I notice his voice breaking or getting shaky as I would have expected from a man who has lost such dear loved ones under such horrible circumstances.
What I think I saw was a man giving a well-rehearsed speech that he hoped and thought some would believe. I for one, didn''t believe it, and I never will.
Only Mr. Baker and God know what really happened the night of Kari''s death. Baker may get confused about what happened, but God won''t.

- I don''t think there''s a purpose of a wife, or a husband, or a child. I think thats a belittlement of the bigger picture. The Gifts of God carry no explanations. No rationalities other than His.
And the God complex? I think that maybe this kind of a ''God Complex'' isn''t a god, but just a man. - Reply to this comment
- People handle tragedy differently. Some think its a deficit of some kind, on behalf of a God. I don''t know. I had an inlaw who, when his wife died of breast cancer, he allegedly sexxxxually abused his kids. And they took them away from him. I don''t know anything about the deepest and darkest of tragedies, except for the innuendos and suspicions and talk of strangers. And its always like that.. Good people want to prevent this stuff from happening, but there''s no preventing anything from happening. There isn''t even any understanding of it. You can''t.

- I know it''s no consolation, but sometimes the justice system doesn''t work. I know that we will all stand before God who sees all, and we will have to answer for what we do. I know God is fair. That''s the only true justice. Hey, what can I say? I''m a Christian, and He is the only one I believe in for what is right and good.

- Get the linguists in on this. His grammar betrays him. Look at the tense change when he''s lying. He changes from the simple past when recounting true remarks to the simple present and the infinite when he is lying.

- Suicide notes are hand-written and signed. In this case its type-written and not signed. Something smells fishy...

PLEASE do not lump ALL who claim to be people of faith into an "evil" mass b/c there are crazies out there who pose as people of faith.
Words NEVER replace DEEDS as a measure of a person. (If only we could remember that when we are choosing our leaders!! )
I agree that Matt looks very guilty but I just believe that we need to let the justice system do its work. I don''t blame the family one bit for pushing and prodding and doing EVERYTHING they can to get it to work. I would just want a whole lot more than a "news story" (especially from one as UNRELIABLE as CBS) to base my opinion on. All the loyal friends and family are so hurt, I would loathe adding more hurt to any of them. I can only pray for God''s comfort and peace, that goes beyond human understanding to be poured out on all the innocent and to pray for our system to work at its best in finding and establishing the truth. - Reply to this comment
- The evidence here is shakey and extremely suspect as to how the media is presenting it. It is very plausible that this woman took her life, as severe depression and anxiety do not look the same from day to day. People who are alleging that she said things are working out and will be just fine, forget that many people say such things just days before committing suicide. The typewritten note? It would be curious to know if she was in the habit of typewriting notes. My brother is one such person, so it is not impossible. I don''t trust the media on its reporting here.

Your right. It is up to our legal system to bring charges and prove a crime has been committed. Maybe we are getting a slanted story here fom the press. Wouldn''t that be a surprise ? (haha) - Reply to this comment
