- Also, I don''t know if the person commenting was referring to my original post or not, but I for one didn''t say that there was no truth. I said that the different bonafide religions each have a different facet on the (spiritual) truth. So the spiritual truth could be compared to a diamond.
Getting back to we don''t need to have the same beliefs, but we should come to an inter-faith understanding / agreement / knowledge / teaching of shared values -- using Love as the first value -- I loved the youth on the TV show, they brought love to the poor children in Africa, and in keeping with "it is in giving that we receive" -- I am sure they were loved back by the Africans and that that experience of being loved back and of loving was transformational and something that will stay with them all their lives. - Reply to this comment
- What bugged me was that the teens were bashing Tabby so much. No i don''t agree with everything she said or how she went about it, but her intentions were good. She genuinely cared about these people and their lives. Although that does not give her a right to make it about religion. Christianity is not a "religion" its a relationship.... it''s not about whether you go to heaven or not. If that''s what it is to you then you''re missing the point. I have friends who are career missionaries... their goal is not to convert as many people as they can. Their purpose is to love people as God loves them even if they never say a word. I think that what the program is doing is admirable but would be better if they told the whole truth. (then again it''s all opinions... what does this one matter to the next, right?)

- "I am definitely in heaven....a small Central American country where my biggest worry is whether or not my beer is cold enough to enjoy."
LOL. : ) Of course I speculate when I say that -- and I didn''t read it anywhere or learn it anywhere, it is just a possibility that I consider (and that many others consider I am sure.) I am no expert on Buddhism either, nor Religious Science for that matter. The book I am finishing now on Buddhism, "The Heart of the Buddha''s Teaching," I don''t think mentions reincarnation once. Although that is the only thing people who are not learned about Buddhism think it is all about. I am quite certain that Jesus and Siddartha would have been good friends had they had the opportunity.
At any rate, the point I was trying to make in my original post was that we don''t need to have the same beliefs to have a *more* Heavenly world. We need to have the same values in my opinion, -- actually all major religions probably already have the same values is my guess -- starting with the value of Love -- in order to have a more Heaven-like world. My guess is that is one of the things that Jesus was trying to tell us. - Reply to this comment
- This is wonderful, these kids are standing up for what they believe in. They will be rewarded according to thier Faith. The truth will be known to all men one day and it will be too late to do anything about it. Keep on sharing the good news and be a witness to the world. They know not what they do.

- @Mehta5.....CLEVER.....very very clever. Christianity in America, well not all of America, has become a quick fix culture, a culture of entitlement where you have twits like the Osteens preaching wealth to those who follow christ. Christ disdained the wealthy.

- Now, without God in my heart I am surely going to hell. All of you who are not going to actively try and convert me are not following the word of Jesus as stated in Matthew 28:19-20. You should be ashamed of yourselves for not saving my soul. You will probably go to hell for that.
By the way can I take the easy way out? Can I insult God and all his followers and then on my deathbed repent for all of it and still go to heaven? If so, I can have my cake and eat it too! Yippy!! - Reply to this comment
- @smartychic......have you got anything else to say? BTW I would like to thank all the ministers who responded in an intelligent and critical fashion for it shows that they have taken divinity studies as opposed to having had to swallow the party line.

- SoSweet5 Here is your problem
"Matthew 28:19-20 states" BLAH BLAH BLAH
You are following a book. I can follow a book too. Let me write something in a book then read it off to you. Just because I wrote it down doesn''t make it true.
Now if I did some science and reported what I did in a book and then you tried it and it worked then that would be something to believe in.
And she does her job poorly that''s why she is dumb. She sucks at it. She won''t convert anyone with that condescending ignorant tone. "Have you heard of this guy names Jesus?" my response, "Yes I have who the hell do you think you are talking to, a monkey?" Then she asks the Mormon if she believes in Jesus! Come on, who is gonna listen to someone and make such a life changing decision when this person basically admits they don''t know much about the world outside their own. - Reply to this comment
- Awinter 3: Give your empty head a shake!.... You don''t see any difference between Christians spreading the Great Commission and the Islamic Schools teaching their very young children from the time they go into school to hate Jews & Americans ... & how to kill them by strapping bombs around themselves! You definitely need help! Try some koolaid!

- Mehta5: The post you made is absolutely disgusting!
Why don''t you study & do some research on Christianity so you are not talking off the top of your very empty head. Matthew 28:19-20 states what has come to be called the %u201CGreat Commission%u201D: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Jesus gave this command to the Apostles shortly before He ascended into Heaven, and it essentially outlines what Jesus expected the Apostles, and those who followed them, to do in His absence. The girl in Indiana isn''t ''dumb'' ..... she is ver Wise. Much wiser than you because she is obedient to God''s Word. She may not have known about Mormanism but she knows about the Gospel of Jesus Christ & the Great Commission. It''s obvious that you are the dumb & ignorant one to even post such a statement. I pray you change your heart about GOD''S WORD - because His Word is the difference between you spending eternity in Heaven .... or choosing to go to Hell! - Reply to this comment

- HEY mfreeouf KIDS ARE NOT IDIOTS! obviously if you think kids are not able to be missionaries, and understand complex things like religious arguments, then apparently you''re the idiot! By the time i was 11 and i had been on many mission trips and had led at least 25 people to christ. Kids are just as capable at reaching and touching people''s hearts just as much as adults are. Oh, and if you act like a so called "adult" you wouldn''t be so childish as to call kids idiots, i bet 75% of us are way better missionaries than you are! You also can''t spell there is so many typos in you''re comments it''s not funny. By the way I loved you''re program, you should list how to go to the lord''s boot camp, I would LOVE TO GO! Great Job!

- "Reincarnation and heaven/hell can not both exist in the same universe, they are opposites."
This statement is not true if you look at it open mindedly. If Earth *is* Heaven, it can become more Heavenly over time (let''s hope -- and if we *believe* it can become more Heavenly over time,) then if you were to reincarnate, you''d be in Heaven for eternity -- just in different human forms.
God is not judgemental. God is all-loving. Period. You are already in Heaven but don''t realize it. I hope some day we''ll all wake up and realize that we''ve already made it and that there is nothing we can do to get in since we are already there. - Reply to this comment
- This show was totally refreshing. Thanks CBS for showing something uplifting and encouraging! We need more shows like this. Could I make some theological comments/corrections to what was said? Sure, but God is full of grace for me, giving me time and helping me to grow in my knowledge and understanding of his great love and mercy for me, so I also try to extend it to others. What an awesome experience the Lord''s Boot Camp is for kids, whether they go overseas or stay in the States. In giving to others, we learn and understand more of his great love and acceptance for us!

- And that girl who stopped agreeing with evolution obviously never understood anything about it. God made us separate from the animals did he? But he used the exact same genetic code in all of us? We can grow human proteins in E.Coli bacteria, how sentient is that? We can genetic engineer mice to have the human disease cystic fibrosis? We are so similar to so many other animals and all animals are so similar to each other, at least on a micro scale, that its just stupid to think humans are any more unique than a cuttlefish.
These people think that there is no point in life without god (someone in the show said that). Tell you what, God has been out of my life since Santa left it around age 5 or 6, and not only have I been happy, but I feel extremely free to make my own decisions, especially regarding what is right and wrong, and I base it all on reason. Good grades in school, go to a good college, never been into drugs or alcohol, and have very positively affected my community over the years. God is a worthless imaginary friend, these people need to grow up. - Reply to this comment
- The bible teaches some good moral lessons sure, but it doesn''t take a genius to figure out what is right and what is wrong, and these moral lessons are taught in schools and by parents and through experience. Everything else in the bible, besides the beautiful language, is complete garbage. It''s just a bunch of ridiculous stories. It shouldn''t be read for any other reason than one reads Harry Potter.
These kids are wasting their lives. All this time and effort these kids are wasting could be spent getting more food, more clothing, more education, and nicer living conditions for poor people around the world. God isn''t gonna help them with anything. Yeah give them some shoes they''ll believe whatever you want them to.
And that girl in Indiana is extremely dumb! Not just dumb because she is so hardcore evangelical, but just outright dumb. She can''t argue to save her life. These missionary leaders think this girl is going to convert someone who has followed the mormon faith for all their life in 5 minutes of talking to them when she doesn''t even know jack about what mormonism is? That is so conceited and ridiculous its actually quite funny. - Reply to this comment
- Why should any belief have to be enforced? Live and let live.

- There is nothing wrong with enforcing ones beliefs. When someone says that people shouldn''t enforce their beliefs on another, they are actually enforcing Their belief that they SHOULDN''T enforce their belief on anyone.
