- After wathching the airing of In Too Deep last night, I strongly believe that Lauren Hill is just as guilty if not more than Colton for the death of this beautiful woman. She may not have committed the crime directly but she had as much to do with it as he did. Her sentence was not justice by any means. This family suffered a great deal and they deserve more justice than what they recieved for the death of their daughter.

- I think 5 years for Hall is appropriate. Colton Pitonyak killed Jennifer Cave and, I think, he, alone, dismembered her body. Hall is guilty of not reporting the murder once she learned of it. She is an accomplice after-the-fact. She was obsessively in love with Colton and ran off to Mexico with him. She still loves him and got a tatoo. Yes, she is a strange and unusual person. For the crimes that she committed though, 5 years is about right. Apparently, that''s what the jurors, who heard all of the testimony and saw all of the evidence, also thought.

- is it not possible that colton was telling the truth, drunk when he told her that coke dealers did it, not remembering later on. (then again, how could he not remember something that indelible and traumatic! maybe a hardened criminal could forget? what does the doctor think?
the benefit of the doubt might shorten his sentence?
are any of them interested in a part in my latest series? we need the bs part clarified, i don''t see the bs (cbs){seeBS} - Reply to this comment

- I can''t understand why CBS would fall for such a ploy. The publicity may very well help this girl in her attempt to appeal her sentence. It amazes me that CBS could be so irresponsible-didn''t you ask yourself what she would gain from this story on her "innocence?" My family and I will always pray for Jennifer''s family, but this girl is bad news!

- There must be some deficiency in the way these girls were brought up, to be so vulnerable to such a wreck of a man. Jennifer''s parents at least tried to warn her off of him. Just shows parents need to be much more involved in their daughters lives, teaching them about safe vs unsafe people, telling them not to try to help drug addicts personally. Very sad case.

- Watch the interrogation, see the "current" interviews with 48 Hours, look at various pictures of Laura, the "b-roll" of her swimming, sitting outside the pool..walking into court, etc...and you will see someone with multiple personalities. Her eyes are empty..she personifies evil..and I, too, cannot believe the amount of air-time CBS News gave to this air-head.

- Sorry, but This one is just as guilty as Colton.
She saw the body. She even left- then came back...and was scared? Of what? SHe saw the body- that implicates her.
She came back and went to Mexico- where she did not lok very scared at all.
let her do 55 years too. - Reply to this comment
- First of all, I think Laura is guilty; much more guilty than I think she is letting on. If you look at her picture above, she looks like she is not all there. She should have gotten at least 20 years for helping him to escape alone. Jennifer''s body was dismembered for God''s Sake. Its not like she was not aware of this.

- I think she had way more to do with this crime that she is letting on. She is covering up, which she probably got a lot of practice when trying to cover up her drug habit. Women who are physically and mentally abused by their boyfriend do anything for them, including killing someone. That doesn''t make her innocent though. That makes her very guilty and in need of a lot of psychological help.

- THIS GIRL IS THE KILLER ... THIS GIRL IS THE KILLER ..
Look at the situation - she comes to her boyfriends house and 1am, there''s another girl there ??? go figure??? ... IT IS CLEAR THAT SHE IS "CRAZY" about this guy ... I THINK HE''S COVERING FOR HER.
Her prints on the gun??? ... And the medical examiner says she was shot shot thru the side.... SHE AND THAT GIRL GOT TO FIGHTING IN THAT APARTMENT ... SHE SHOT that GIRL .... & COLTON is covering for her ... THAT''S WHY SHE GOT HIS NAME TATTOOED "AFTER" the MURDER....
She''s clear as GLASS ... U CAN SEE RIGHT THRU HER. - Reply to this comment
- OH MY GOSH! I''m from Austin and followed this case. You know, I certainly didn''t watch this on TV nor even read this "article." I just registered to comment that first, I''m ashamed of CBS News....giving time and noterity to an accomplice? This woman is guilty as sin and deserved MUCH more time than what she was given.
Just read the articles from the Austin American-Statesman. CBS News, did you read them? Do your homework! There are much better stories than this sick woman. - Reply to this comment
- I just watched the clip of this girls police interview and she was not being very serious at all in...She sounded like a little sorority girl in some ways...She should have gotten more time...My heart goes out to Jennifers Family.!

- This woman makes my skin crawl! It was a mistake to only give her 5 years. My prediction is that as soon as she''s released she''ll team up with another drug-addled psycho like Pitonyak and wreak further havoc. I sincerely hope she deals with her "issues" while she''s in the slammer.

- Guilty.....enough said. It doesn''t take a genius to see that. Anyone with half a brain who saw the few facts that were shown in this program could tell you that. I think the only reason why the jury deliberated for two days was because they thought the charge was wrong. It should have been MURDER.

- "No soul" says it right. The fact that, after seeing the body, she left and later returned did it for me. There is NO plausible reason, other than involvement in the crime, to explain that. The careful searching for the "right" words during the interview. The "Okay here''s the truth" bit during the interrogation. The "feelings" seemed wrong because a person with no conscience does not have "the usual" feelings so they make up what they believe in their distorted psyche to be the expected response. Then there was that tatoo. After she tells of how she was betrayed, victimized, abused and feared for her life she puts an ink billboard on her body to honor him. I hope her family can get a good attorney and files a civil suit seeking damages for wrongful death against her. A lot more is allowed in civil court and the burden of proof is lower.

- First of all I want to say try viewing it from the victim''s family point of view. What would you think. I happen to be the cousin of the victim. We only met once at a family reuniun, but she still was family. Now for the hard truth. I knew and hung out with a laura hall when i was doing drugs and it so happens to look just like the one in this story. Funny and sad. Thank God I changed my ways and got away from the drugs and people like Laura and Colton. If it is the same Laura she is related to a Matt that I used to hang with. So small world and she is just as guilty as he is. Trust me on that one. Colton is a bad person coming from a good family just like me. Colton isnt that charming and controling just finds women who are nieve. Thank God I cant see Laura, she killed my family. Thank God my grandmother wasnt here to see this happen. God Bless Her Soul!
