Poor reporting. I found that the story was too heavy into atmospherics and not enough time was devoted to the forensic and trial specifics so that the viewer could get enough information to form an opinion as to guilt or innocence or the quality of the investigation.
48 Hrs (save for the more recent unsolved cases which seem almost a total waste of time) has consistently been superior though the years in providing the pertinent specifics so that the viewer felt that the story was as complete as possible and could form an educated view as to guilt or innocence.
This show just did not meet those standards and ended up being frustrating for me.

I can't believe that once again lazy police work caused this murder to go cold case. everytime I see one of these shows I get so upset that leads are not followed through. when someone has an alibi you check it out!!!!!! this guy says he was with a girlfriend and he wasn't. I have written in so many times after watching these shows for the same reason, only one time out of my five comments did I find a super cop that did his job and wouldn't let it go. we need more of these guys and gals on the force!!!!

With today's Forensic Evidence detection methods, has it been established from crime scene photos and any other evidence whether or not the perpetrator was either right or left handed when (he or she) struck the victim with the baseball bat ?????

As a retired law enforcement officer, I know that eye-witness testimony is not always reliable, however, there appears to be a wide discrepancy in what the witness stated about the alleged perpetrator's physical description of a tall blond person as opposed to Mr. Davis' 5ft 6ins and dark hair.

In the event Mr. Davis' appeal for a new trial is granted, will the "Alternative Suspect" be allowed to be entered into the case file or suppressed as it was originally ?

Here is hoping that Mr. Russell is successful in re-opening the case. I for one think all avenues of investigation be followed through until it has been proven to every one's satisfaction.

Respectfully,
