- Charles,
Save yourself and admit your wrong doing. You alone should go confess to the Governor and seek compensation. I can tell you this. Twitter, Facebook and google will haunt you until you do whats right. You committed a crime, you lied, you covered things up and its time for you to do what's right! You took 18 years from a man and his family. Money and a personal apology face to face on 48 hours is required. I am just concerned whom else you did this to. You got caught and do what's right and get the state to give him monetary compensation of at least 2m. What is unique is the person you put away is still the person who went in, a honest, hard working american who happens to be African American. I think everyone on this blog is just beside ourselves with this in justice and your continued efforts to cover up your lies. You are no different then real criminals, always have an excuse for everything. - Reply to this comment
- Charles Sebesta,
I am having a very hard time with your blog and your interviews on this program as well as your attack on a prosecutor who by reputation alone with 19-0 record to call you out even be challenged. It took a lot for Kelly Siegler to say what she said. I for one was never a fan of Kelly and how she stops at nothing. I even questioned some of her cases, but how she handle this made me believe that this woman fights for the truth and puts those away who deserve it, regardless of COLOR, creed or religion Kelly to me did more to prove who she is as a person of the law then most I have seen. You on the other hand I would love to see take a lie detector test. One thing comes to mind with you when i see you speak and always rely on your former police friends and detectives....ready for this? 'Mississippi Burning' I choose not to use the word "r" in this blog but clearly you need to be taken out to a shed and questioned like the character was with the teacup and blade.
How do you sleep at night knowing you lied, hid the truth and punished an Afican American who did nothing wrong. You took his life. I agree with fellow bloggers, you need to sell you house, your possessions and give the money to your victim. How can you family even look at you unless they too are 'Mississippi Burning' clan as well? The very nature on how you answered your questions make my skin crawl. I would love to see a lie detector test on you. Kelly's words are a fitting end to your disgrace. You will die a dishonorable man and live with judgement day for what you did. Your actions almost took a man's life and you have the audacity to start a website against Kelly Seigler? You are one sick person. She is a professional and her 19-0 record in my mind stands and accurate given her account and diligence on your cover-up. Take out a full page add, raise money and plead for your victims forgiveness. - Reply to this comment

- Sebesta needs to be placed in handcuffs this INSTANT, and perp-marched into a state prison, where he will spend - to the second - the exact same amount of time that Mr. Graves spent in prison. Not one second less, not one second more. I have a feeling he is NOT atypical of prosecutors not just in Texas, but in all states. What is with the state of Texas refusing to compensate Mr. Graves for this injustice. My heart breaks to think of the moments he lost to Sebesta's corruption and incompetence: hugging and kissing his children, his mother...walking to the fridge for a late night snack...going to a ball game...just hanging out and watching television. I was very happy to see Ms. Sieglin do the right thing. I'm not a big fan of her over the top theatrics, but maybe this shows her heart is in the right place. Before, I wasn't so sure she HAD one. I hope the universe has taken notes on this, Sebesta, and karma somehow enacts its just "compensation" for what you stole from Mr. Graves and his family. You are pure evil. Get with the program, Texas, and write Graves a BIG check. I think 1.4 million is a good START.

- Yet another judicial farce courtesy of the State of Texas.
You amoral maggots locked up an innocent man for 18 years and almost murdered him...
...but that's no big deal in Texas. - Reply to this comment
- This is absolutely a horrible way to treat a person, he has the right to be compensated for all those years. I would like to see the prosecutor go to jail for that long and not expect conpensation...no wonder people are loosing faith in the justice system. The man is owed this for taking away his watching his children grow up, missing birthdays, weddings and all that is life. I am absolutley appalled at this decision.

- Prosecutor misconduct and abuse of power has been an ongoing undercurrent of the the stories "48 HRS" has reported over its broadcast history, and it does seem as though a preponderance of them have occurred within the State of Texas' shameful justice system. Kudos on another excellent piece of journalism, CBS News; and Heaven help anyone crossing that state's hubris-driven "Policiary".

- Give him his due for goodness sakes. He's forfeited 18 years!

- Charles Sebesta should be held financially accountable- as well as the State of Texas. Anthony Graves deserves the financial tools for his freedom that was taken from him. I don't understand how Charles Sebesta can live each day knowing that he made a terrible mistake. Charles Sebesta is a selfish man. It is most obvious Charles Sebesta is a cowardly- he can't back up his statements with facts. I would hope the great state of Texas does a investigation into the working history of Charles Sebesta. Charles Sebesta-owes Anthony Graves an appology, in the least, and I didn't see that happen either.
